Goodwill is actively having my reviews taken down to hide the harassment that takes place. So here it is again Ill post it a million times until they leave it up. Im sharing it on social media pages, and Ive contacted HR as well as corporate now. I started as a donation door attendant, I eventually became a supervisor. During my time here I received very despicable treatment from both the store manager as well as the district manager at the time. Treatment varied from threats, as well as being forced to find false reasons to fire people who were disliked by the manager. In order to not use language that flags this review Ill say this tamely, management would often not release you from their office until you told them personal details about your intimacy at home. The manager would regularly bring us into the office to extract personal or confidential information and proceed to tell other supervisors as well. Company would ask people to make false statements so we could deny lower level employees unemployment. Worst place I’ve ever worked. Manager would also tell us about illegal activities that she had participated in throughout her personal life that made some employees very uncomfortable. Place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I’ve even been present when the manager has lied telling people they were soon to be fired in order to trick them into resignation when she had no ability to fire them at that moment based on their actions or attendance. It was typically because she didn’t like them personally. Now this same manager is reaching out to HR as well as google to have my review taken down. Theyd rather hide her harassment than make Goodwill a safe place for people to work.

Clothes are overpriced. Manager once called my wallet a “mans” wallet which was rude. Found a used feminine product on the floor of a dressing room once. Urine all over the bathroom floors. Reading recent reviews it looks like this place just keeps going down hill. I’d rather spend my money and time else where thank you.

Bunch of teenagers running this place. Not professional at all. They would rather talk to each other than actually do their job. Trying to ask questions there is a waste of time. The place is a waste of money too!!! I left angry and didn’t even bother checking out. Just left my items in a cart and left. Went there a couple years ago and saw the prices have gotten higher and higher. It also looks like the place has never seen a vacuum and mop especially in the bathroom which smells like urine. This place is a circus and a reflection on the manager along with the corporation as a whole. Much rather go to a yard sale or another thrift store. Can’t imagine stepping foot in another goodwill ever again. Disgusting.

Lots of clothes and misc. Items. A fair amount of seasonal items for decorating tho pricy compared to furniture items imo. Friendly staff

Some of the best prices of all the area Goodwill stores but inventory is mostly clothing.

Goodwill have been an amazing company to work for. Amazing work staff as well.

Other than the clothes being too slammed together in order to sort through them, they have a nice selection. The clothes are clean. One thing I would suggest is not accepting threadbare and then stretched out shirts. I found a ton of those in the womens section.While I love a good bargain, its pointless if its going to fall apart in a wash or two.

Was looking for a TV stand, nothing like that pretty much all clothes now but lots of clothes and friendly staff

Goodwill is the most amazing establishment that I’ve ever set foot in, Christy, the manager, is the most kind hearted woman I’ve ever met. Wonderful place to shop.

I cant understand why the prices are so high when everything is donation. For a thrift store out of my price range. Different if it allowed returns or sold strictly vintage or antiques.

It was kind of expensive but overall they had nice mane branded clothing, bags, shoes and more. I would recommend visiting because they also had I lot of different styles which is nice.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean store. Prices are very reasonable. Love going in there and can always find something I need. AND its fun to see the unique items they have behind the check out. I highly recommend people to stop in and see what they have. 🙂

Prices are fair for some things. Others are a little high. Just gotta be careful. The staff is super friendly. And they dont mind a child throwing a fit, in fact, they were very helpful during that time.

Its an awesome place to shop. They have lowered prices and have great quality clothing. always able to get name brand clothing at great prices. The staff is so nice.

I really dislike the new size organization. Its too much digging to find the right size! I dont want to stand there for 30 minutes only to find that the 75 pair of jeans to see that there are 2 pair in my size and theyre both ugly. Also they hardly have any wares, just the clothes.

Place is terrible. Manager is an harassment lawsuit waiting to happen.

One of the few goodwills in the area where I cant ever remember, leaving empty handed. More realistic prices than the others. Although one employee today told me prices will be going up!

The last Tuesday of the month all clothes are dollar 99. got some good advice for my nephew who needed a larger men size.

Goodwill is always to expensiveThe people are always great but they sell somethings higher than retail. They get everything for free then they ask you to donate the change. I dont know why I ever even bother going in there

Pekin Goodwill has very nice and pleasant employees working there, Im always asked if I need help and their store is very clean unlike others I have been to.. They always direct me in the correct area IAM looking for and always tell me what sales they have going on...I Recommend pekin Goodwill to everyone.. Very pleased with their service..

I agree. Prices at all the Goodwills have been raised. I realize its their corporate office that creates these policies, but its disheartening. I donate to Mission Mart, Salvation Army and other non-profits instead. Here I know that those in need will be able to find affordable clothes, furniture and whatnot. At the Goodwill, on the other hand, theyll have to pay $4 for a ladies short sleeved shirt or $5 for a pair of capris. Its just way too high.

Prices are high for a place that people are giving away the items to be sold the should take into consideration that there doing this to help people not selling there clothes for what they paid for them its not right people can go to Wal-Mart and buy clothes brand new cheaper then what there getting at goodwill prices

The Pekin store is very disappointing especially considering the back that all the stuff is donated to them and all that does is put monies in the owners pocket and put money in the managers pocket and does it put the stuff back out to the public which could use it more instead of that happening they overcharge and trying to make a ton of money up the stuff thats given to him instead of actually helping the public. I think they autobuyer the manager and find somebody can actually run that store

Items are priced too high. Some items should go for 25 cents or 50 cents. New items are priced store price. Goodwill should price things affordable for the needy or seniors who are on a small income.

I can buy brand new items cheaper than I can here at the Goodwill resale shop in Pekin. For that matter, any Goodwill in the area. Its such a shame that they have to price items so high were people wont purchase the items to help out. Oh I should say help pay the corporate office management the big bucks. YES, thats where the money is going. NOT for the disabled or handicapped people. Sad.........and shame on you Goodwill.

I also agree that the prices are too high and steadily increasing. It is so hard to make ends meet while raising my grandkids and now you cant get any kids items for less than $3 a piece, so buying new clothes each season is too much. Recently there was a 12 dollar store Christmas tree marked $6.99, really come on. This is stuff they get for FREE, why all the price gouging. I am shopping at other thrift stores and yard sales

Prices are too high on clothing for new clothes its 2 or 3 dollars more get new clothes at Walmart

I can get name brand items for the same price as here. They keep raising the cost of items which makes it harder for me to be able to buy and shop there.

Goodwill is horrible. Especially this one. They they profit so much and give so little back. Searching employees and filling up landfills everyday because they want top doll a r for your donations.
