One of the historic Carnegie Libraries, this beautiful building supports and encourages all aspects of creativity. Admission to exhibitions is free and the gift shop itself is like a gallery of quality work by artists and artisans. Even if you are just passing through the area, it is an enjoyable stop.
Very interesting art work. High level for community effort. Diversity of subjects.
This is one of the best places to visit while in Pendleton! They always have great exhibits, shows and friendly staff! The director is wonderful and I always love our conversation! Theres a good rotating selection of trinkets that make for good gifts for any occasion! Get out of the house and check the place out!
Its one of my favorite spots in Pendleton, along with the Woolen Mills and the Underground Tour! Every visitor will find something to enjoy: from the art collector to the gift shopper. I cant wait to see what new clever items Ill discover during my next visit: fused glass, reclaimed wood, recycled mens shirts, re-spun cotton, jewelry, fine prints. They focus on artists from town and throughout Oregon showing genuine artistry and creativity. And, if youre lucky, you may even catch a workshop for you or your little ones.A special shout-out to Roberta, who is always so knowledgeable, caring and welcoming. I look forward to seeing you next year!
We rented to Bamboo Room for my sons graduation party. I love this room and it was perfect size for our group of about 20-25. The room is very well lit and the a/c works GREAT! There is a stove, but no top burners. Also a dishwasher and a fridge with a freezer. I would highly recommend this room for smaller occasions.
Showcases tend to change every month, they are well put together and diverse in scope. We are huge fans of the free drop in Saturday classes. My kids enjoy the variety of activities and creativity that is encouraged during this quick 45 min brainstorm. The gift shop features a wide variety (in style and price) of local (or near local.. as in Washington or Idaho) hand made goods and crafts. Something for everyone.
Beautiful place. Had christmas party there. Great vibes in building, nice view outdoors. Would go back!
Is a great place for gatherings. Ive been to funeral services, birthday parties, and graduation parties. Easy access for handicapped too
Eocenes - they put on a terrific old-fashioned Bluegrass concert! The Pendleton Center for the Arts is a great place for events like this.
This is a wonderful place to visit and a gem in the Pendleton community. Housed in the old library, its never disappointed me with its exhibits and gift shop. I have yet to attend any performances here, but I always make a point to drop by when Im in town.
EOSCENES WERE FABULOUS. RECOMMENDATION FOR THE GRAND OL OPERA! WONDERFUL EVENING AND I GET TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN TONIGHT.
An amazing community resource. Lots of classes for kids and adults... Both art and music. A great venue for local authors to read their work. Nice local art for sale.
Zentangle Class with Denise Owen was AMAZING!!! VERY relaxing, light hearted and a great experience for those not afraid to try something new!! Highly recommend.
The Pendleton Center for the Arts is an experience that never ends. We always have a wonderful.time there, whether catching a concert, an exhibit or taking a class. Its the best in town!!
Nice and bright exhibition room, with a great store inside. I was driving by and they had a Chuck Close exhibit, free to attend! Definitely worth the visit!
I was not impressed with its current display. It was just not my taste. The gift store was nice and down stairs they have ceramic classes and upstairs on certain days you can learn how to knit and crochet.
Love taking classes here. An Eastern Oregon treasure!
A lot of history but not many paintings displayed. People were friendly and they had refreshments. Helped me learn more about Pendleton.
Great family friendly place. Free art for teens year round.
