Calagaz is a must go-to in Pensacola for film photographers. They sold me my first 35mm Canon Rebel at a fair price and I later bought a 50mm lens from them for my digital camera. Theyve always processed all of my color and black and white film for me. The staff is like a family - so friendly and helpful and they know me by name. PRINTS from Calagaz are beautiful. They have a decent selection of 35mm film for sale and at times have expired film for cheap. There is tons of both new and used camera equipment for sale here, including digital photography equipment, and the staff knows their stuff.

Lots of cool cameras and accessories for sale. Plus they do film developing and scanning. The lab manager Sharee is super helpful and knowledgeable about all things photography related, and she is amazingly beautiful.

Stopped by to have my lens looked at because the autofocus stopped working. I was planning to spend $75-100 to get it fixed. Walked out with an identical less for $50. Can’t beat that. I’ll definitely be back when I’m ready for another lens.

Wonderful shop with great people! We are from out of state and they were suggested to me by someone from Best Buy here in Pensacola. So glad I stopped in to check it out. They went out of thier way to help me with my lens and find me a new one that was in the price range I was looking for! Will be going back when we are here again and buying from them online!

I went to Calagaz Photo for some professional advice and assistance with connecting my camera to a night vision monocular. I showed the employee a YouTube video using a step up ring with a collar attachment for that purpose. The employee said she had never seen a step up ring like the one used in the video and asked two other employees who also said they were not familiar with the ring displayed. They did not attempt to identify a source for the ring on line or offer any assistance. It was suggested that I contact the person who posted the YouTube video and ask where they obtained the ring. Needless to say I was disappointed with their lack of interest and customer service. When I subsequently searched on line it took me two minutes to identify the needed step up ring as a Clamp On /Step Up Ring. I contacted B&H Photo and they helped me over the telephone. A little effort on Calagaz Photos part could have earned them a satisfied customer, but they lost me.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Super helpful to someone new to DSLR photography, I have so many questions. I currently drive truck for a living and call them quite a lot when I am needing advice on settings and or gear that I need to get the shots I want. Visiting Pensacola Beach for vacation, I came across Calagaz Photo. its not to often you find an actual camera shop anymore, so I had to go... great prices on used lens and other accessories. Not only do they handle digital photography but also film photography. Yes, thats right film. Awesome place, must visit if your in the area.

Had film developed here while I was on vacation. No complaints about the quality of that or the cleanliness and variety of items carried at the store. However, there was one staff member who was very short and rude. The person who she was training, as well as another employee, were extremely friendly and helpful. I was here last February, and yet this womans customer service still sticks out to me...

I drove 2 hours just to come to this store and the staff was extremely nice and one of the ladies even walked around the store with me to help me out and was very knowledgeable.

Its a chain store, Im happy they are here because it gives people a good entry to photography. But if you want to develop film here and have it be above par (dont count on it), I would suggest learning to do it yourself or sending elsewhere

Had a Canadian Passport photo taken. They were very careful to meet Canadas exacting requitements. Also, they have a fairly large section of camera lens as well as very interesting displays of historical camera equipment. Well worth a visit.

I was shopping for something pretty specific, clamps & mounts to attach a large tablet to a C-stand or tripod. I also saw online that they had a lens I wanted. I could have had the lens mailed to me but Robert answered my request for more info said we have 2 boxes of supports and clamp type things and may be able to piece together an acceptable stand for you. When I drove the 100 miles to Pensacola, Robert passed me off to a sales associate who was confused about what I was trying to do, what boxes of clamps I was talking about and after going to the back for a minute came out and said that they had nothing like that, didnt even offer to let me see what they supposedly had. I got the lens, then went to Blues Angels where a helpful sales department helped me out. The point? They are the only used Photo Equipment store in more than 100 miles and they act like it. Dont bother with a drive of more than a few miles, you can shop them on eBay. And dont expect too much help when you do make it in. Maybe thats just my experience though.

On July 12th, 2018, I needed a wide angle camera lens for a last minute photoshoot the next day. I was looking around at camera shops and I found Calagaz Photo. They have locations in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida. The store in Pensacola had what I needed and they gave me a good price on it as well! Wendy was the person who helped me. She did an excellent job answering all my questions, and was very helpful and not pushy at all. I will do business with them again! This company also sells used equipment and they have a fantastic showroom!
