I was impressed with the great customer service when I initially made my purchase. However when I called and emailed, and even sent pictures, on some issues there was push back. When they agreed to send someone out and look at my issues, they corrected the most obvious but said others were acceptable. One of the issues was some pitting/gouges within the first couple weeks, which still continues to happen. The first time they came out they did a repair and said if it happened again to just call. When I emailed and called again, because there were more spots of pitting/gouges, I was told that this is common in natural stone. When I pressed the issue, they said they would come out one more time and after that I would have to pay $250 per hour for staff to come out. They did come out again and fix some spots and again told me this happens in natural stone. Mind you, this is multiple spots of pitting/gouges in the first three months of installation. This pitting is very visible, people notice it and point it out to me. I am sorry, but this is anything but common. I know many people that have granite countertops and this does not happen. It is also just happening on one of the several pieces that were installed. I looked at every store in Toledo and then some for the right countertop as this was very important to me. It is very disappointing.In reference to your response . . . I am not sure what stone you are referring to but my stone has a polish feel, not a “rock” feel. Both times I came to view this stone, my sisters were with me and we asked if there was anything wrong with the stone or if it was being discontinued, and were told no, that you had just purchased an overabundance of it. We even asked if we could see the pieces behind the front one and it were told they were all the same. It was never said that this stone had more of a “rock” feel, as it does not.And just to be clear, the first time they came out was because one of the pieces was not cut right and had gaps on the side, they did fix a pit at that time. The second time they came out was to install the new piece, and they did fix another spot at that time. The third time was due to multiple pits that had occurred. Which again, I find hard to believe that this is common when it is only happening on one piece of several that was installed.

We recently renovated our home and used Universal Marble & Granite. We are absolutely In love with our finished product! They were professional, competitive and had the best selection! I drove from MI to Ohio because I heard they were the best! I am very picky and wanted mitered edge on all my counters. They did just that and it was is a perfect miter! Thank you so much for making me so happy! We love the way our counter tops turned out in our new home.

Outstanding experience from the very beginning. Jessica of the sales team made us feel very comfortable and showed us our options. She allowed us to take our time looking over the various colors of granite. Their estimator was also courteous and professional. Their 2 installers were also professional and cleaned up after the installation of the new countertops. Very happy that we chose them over the other companies near Toledo.

I chose UMG after price shopping in the area. They were the straight forward to deal with and professional. They even came back out when I forgot to have them drill a hole, at no charge!

We shopped around and UMG had the best selection, hands down. Their prices were competitive with other local companies. Their quote was comprehensive and did not nickel and dime us like a couple of the other companies. We experienced a couple hiccups with our installation workmanship, but UMG stepped up and made it right. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I was so excited to get my new countertops from Universal Marble and Granite. The process was easy and the staff was knowledgable.I purchased a unique color in granite that was far less expensive and nicer than any thing the big box home improvement stores could offer.The measurement staff was accurate and professional and the installation crew was quick and tidy.

I made a trip to Perrysburg From Lima to order some granite counter tops, that was Dec 31 and still no countertops. I had bought a sink I wanted to install so 2 or 3 weeks later I get a call from my contractor saying they cant find the measurements for that sink so now I take the sink to them and leave it so that makes 2 trips. Now its Feb 19th the wife called and talked to Amanda and she said they were still in fabrication and again to call my contractor and he said the same thing. So in ending Amanda my contractor isnt paying for them I AM. Not pleased at all with the service so far.

Great experience, I was able to go pick out my grante from the warehouse. They explained everything clearly. During both my appointments they were on time, polite, answered all my questions and cleaned up after themselves. I will coming back for future needs.

Everything was straightforward in the quote which is updated once they do the templete. They have an amazing deep blue countertop. The install guys were friendly.

We were looking to replace the kitchen counter tops. Wow I am glad we stopped at Universal Marble and Granite. We thought we could not afford granite and were so wrong. From our first visit everyone was accommodating and helpful. We decided on that visit to order and schedule our new countertop install. No pressure sales, great demo and install team. Wonderful experience! Anthony was amazing with his knowledge. He knew just where to look to find what would look good with our paint and floor sample along with our cabinet door. I am very happy with the counter top we picked out. It looks amazing! Also, the installers were very professional and did a great job with the installation. After visiting 5 different stores, we settled on UMG because of the easy sell manner and cordial atmosphere. The sales people were knowledgeable and sensitive to our concerns. We signed a contract and settled on dates for removal and installation which were all met on time. The workers were excellent and caring in how they performed their work. We see great reviews about the entire process from sales to install, unfortunately we did not make it to that point. We made an appointment, felt rushed from the moment we arrive,. Sales person seemed so interested in creating an estimate they were not really interested in us actually picking the top. When we suggested we would like to walk the warehouse again we were told another appointment was coming in so there was not much time. In the process I made statements like the cost is really not and issue I would think that would be a sales persons dream statement. We left very disappointed, we were there to make a purchase. After an hour drive to the store we were left with only a scenic drive. We will buy locally now.Covid is not an excuss to make a customer feel in the way. I would hate to think my business would come across that way to any one. We were not told we only had 30 mins. We would have not made a trip that far.

Sales representative did not seem very knowledgeable and made us feel rushed as if we were being pushed out the door. We were in and out in 5 minutes. No questions about what edge profile, type of sink or any details we wanted. We were told a quote would be sent over the next day, 2 weeks later and no contact. With such a large purchase, I would expect for the customer service to be of higher standards. bought my counters elsewhere.

Sales staff, and especially Anthony, are extremely knowledgeable about the products and the entire acquisition, fabrication and installation as well. They come up with alternates and ideas to a problem and can carry them through to completion. Very happy with the time and courtesy afforded to us on our many visits. We were taken on a tour of the entire operation and warehouse display. They went out of their way to accommodate us when questions arose.

Just incredible people,professional, knowledgeable, friendly. Was so impressed with my kitchen and bathroom counters I had them custom make a marble top for an antique bureau.The selection of choices is outstanding also Highly recommend this place if your home is new or you are rehabbing this is the place to go thank you for all the wonderful work.

I used Universal Marble and Granite for kitchen counter top replacement. I dont recommend them. Here are my issues along with pictures.1. Demo work damaged the drywall and existing kitchen cabinets2. Sloppy cutting around edges of new counter tops caused damage to existing trim. Gouges in trim are obvious, even after installers attempted to fill them with silicon caulk.3. Shim installation looks terrible. Shim protrudes out and creates a large gap between the counter and the metal support.4. Two composite black granite sinks were requested at time of order. Installers arrived with one black sink and one stainless steel sink. I called the company to ask why two black sinks were not delivered. Their response was the paperwork that was signed only indicated one black sink and all they could do now was cut a new counter top and charge me full price to fix the issue. Each sink on the order was only identified by a model number. When I signed the paperwork, I talked through the order with Amanda (the sales representative), but she never indicated that the sinks were different colors. I had no way of knowing unless I knew exactly what model numbers meant.5. Be weary of 5 star reviews. A 5 star google review will get anyone a free bottle of cleaner.

Went to Universal for a second quote after receiving a quote from Cutting Edge. Quote was 20 plus percent lower. Installation went as planned and the product is superb. Also posted with the BBB 03/14/2018. As a retired Contractor I can tell you, Excellent experience. Prompt scheduling. Professional Estimator and Installers. State of the art, on the job site measuring. The fit is unbelievably perfect. A precise fit to the Drywall that was quite wavy. Everything as planned. My cabinets were professionally installed and, were very level. However some shimming was still required and performed for the Granite, which requires extremely level surfaces. Not a problem for the installers. Neat and very efficient work. Highly recommended. Beautiful flawless Granite. Excellent polish and, contour. The Farmhouse sink turned out perfect. I cant say enough about these guys! The price was right to boot. We have been using it for 6 months now. Very happy!

We are very happy with our new Granite countertops. They look beautiful. The office staff were great and very helpful. The 2 young men that installed the countertops were very professional.
