We have been purchasing from the Home Depot in Peru IL for almost 3 years after relocating to the area. Everyone at this store is professional and knowledgeable. We work directly with the pro desk the majority of the time. Mike, Alex, Sarah and Justin are extremely helpful. Most of my calls are from the job site and they are quick to answer my questions and process my orders. I would recommend this store to any homeowner or contractor looking for quality and professional customer service. Thank you to the Peru team.

A lot of the products are good and affordable. The staffs are nice & accommodating.

Theyve cleaned this place and look to have gotten lots of new inventory. The young man who helped me pick up my online order was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. He was exceptional at customer service.The only negative is that not a single person in this store (except me) was wearing a mask. Mask requirements have been relaxed for those already vaccinated and for people outdoors. That doesnt mean no masks. There were thirty people or so in the store.As I said, the only one wearing a mask was me. Ive been fully vaccinated, but theres no harm in being cautious. But I took mine off and stuffed it in my pocket rather than antagonize others.

They have a great garden center. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Nice to actually be able to find help in a store and people that are actually knowledgeable about the topic you are enquiring.

60% of the time I visit, the aisle I need is completely blocked off for stocking? Employees stand around talking to eachother and when asked where stuff is they tell you to use the app. Very limited selection aimed at bulk orders and not the casual diyer. Youre better off going to Menards or ordering online.

The sales associates are very helpful and friendly. My only issue is Home Depots dont seem well lit and maybe its because of the color choices in store.

For a big box store the employees are actually friendly and helpful. HEAPS better than Menards. Its worth paying more for better quality products and service, period.

Home Depot is a D.I.Y. store that has everything you need to rehab a home or just fix it up to suit your needs and taste. The staff are very knowledgeable of their products and could recommend whats best for not.

I love the home Depot, well stocked store and you dont have to drive out back to get your lumber. The big plus is the 10% off for veterans.

Husband went to purchase several high dollar tools. TWO employees were at the end of the aisle chatting about their previous nights adventures and not paying any attention to him standing there in front of the cage where the tools were kept.He finally went looking for another employee to help him, but needed a manager with a key. The whole process should have taken him less than an hour to complete. Instead, he was there for almost two hours while lackluster employees halfheartedly helped him. We very seldom ever go to this store, and this will probably be the last time.

Not a huge fan. This one only price matches to local competitors like ace, tractor supply company but only within like 20 miles. I wont be back

This 5 star review is specifically aimed at Mrs. Bob in the plumbing department. She was SO helpful and made it easy for us to fit a 1.5 pvc pipe to a 1.25 pipe. Dont know what we wouldve done without her.

They have everything you need and the staff are helpful and willing to assist you. Great selection of good quality paints and skilled people to help you make plans if you are remodeling. They also have a wonderful garden section with a large assortment of very healthy plants. Love Home Depot!

I had a good experience. I wanted to get in and out. A worker kindly guided me to the right section for what I was looking for and made it much easier! I used the fancy self-checkout and it was wonderful!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN 42 YEARS OF BEING IN THE TRADES. Ordered flooring thru HD online for curbside pickup in Peru Illinois HD. Arrived for pickup, truck was loaded. At home realize they loaded wrong material and 2 xtra boxes. Contact store,told the mistake was ours even though JDs computer showed error on them. No thanks offered for informing them of the boxes of mtl not paid for. HD offers to deliver the correct material, 4 days later. Loose use of my truck for 4 days and pay to heat my garage so their material isnt ruined by sub 0 temps. HD delivery driver calls half hour before arriving and tells me to sticker and stack boxes so he can use fork lift. I unloaded their material and use 16 2x4, again no thank you. Driver shows up hours later. First 23 of 29 cartons of oak flooring is acceptable quality. 2 of the last 6 boxes contain no pieces over 32, manufacturers problem. Repack and return along with 1 box of damaged mtl.. Attempt to exchange 1 package, goes well. Attempt to return 2 boxes,, told in store credit only option due to IT isssue. 3 options I offer are rejected, refund to purchasing card or cash or district manager phone number. Leave store with promise from assistant stoe manager that will be contacted nect day, doesnt happen. Two days later offered cash, this costs me 1.5 hrs of travel and 21$ in fuel. Picked up my new flooring there and eight cases of it was busted. However, no problem for the Man In Charge. He just reordered for me. The flooring looks high quality and is durable. A excellent value for what I paid for it! Most of their laminate flooring does outperform the other stores offerings.

Salesman was great. Bought a floor model freezer and got a discount because of a ding in the door.

The changed around the flooring and appliance departments. And the people in the paint department were very nice and help full

4star, most employees here are very helpful, as far as the products I would do 3 stars as I was looking for a thermostat and the mid expensive ones were out of the plastic enclosure, leading me to believe it was returned at some point.

Good place for home improvement needs. Personally I dont like the aisle layout because it all feels the same but if you use the website and find the item you need, it will tell you what aisle so that is pretty helpful.

I do like Home Depot, but when trying to exchange a propane cylinder today I had trouble doing so. This is the second time Ive had trouble doing this. I had to wait for someone to get the key as the bin it tried to open was jammed

We went to Home Depot looking for a stove last week after going to many other big box stores and Home Depot beat them hands down by price. The employee that helped us was great and very professional. Home Depot offers free delivery on appliances and I had my new stove within 3 days. Their delivery crew was great as well and delivered in the time frame we were told. Home Depot will definitely be where we go for our appliances from now on!! You guys are great!!!

I didnt like that I had to wait in line 3 times to go in the store to get a cart, so I could go to the garden area to get potting soil, then went out to see all the Great looking flowers and trees back out in the parking lot and THEN had to go back IN line at the entrance door so I could pay for all my flowers! Waiting in line again!!! To top it off they had no available motorized carts, which is what I needed...cuz l had hip surgery a month ago. I was so angry that they didnt have an open area by the nursery/Garden area!!🥵😡 My hip hurt sooo bad.

If youre doing any building that requires a lot of lumber I would wait for the price of lumber to go down. Ridiculously high-priced!

Looking for carpet and the sales representative was very helpful and knowledgeable. Set up an appointment to have our rooms measured and all has been smooth so far. Signed up for the Home Depot card and they give you a $100 towards your first purchase. So far a good experience.Update, ordered carpet and had it installed. Carpet is great installation was totally unacceptable. Home Depot contracted this out to a company name Superior and yes the name is a joke. They butchered the seams and even cut the carpet incorrectly in a few places and it was short of the wall. They fixed this by jamming a loose piece of carpet into the hole. First time I vacuumed they all were sucked up leaving holes. Home Depot little help when I told them I would like a different installer to fix the issues stating that Superior is the authorized installer for them.Superior then said they need an Inspector to look at it. They looked at it and said the installation crew did a poor job. He said they would schedule a crew out to repair it in one to two weeks. Four weeks go by then five I call Superior who says the inspector never gave them the information and they would have to contact him. Three more days and we have the information and they schedule the repairs for a Friday afternoon.Friday have to take the afternoon off of work and they do not show up until after 5pm. Takes a look at it and says this will take 5 or 6 hours to fix. He tells me he will be back on Saturday. He shows up alone no crew and works on it for almost 7 hours and it did look better but still has two very poorly done seams and of course they are in the main room and the hallway where the most traffic is.I have now contacted Home Depot and feel the carpet was done so poorly the first time they were not able to fix it by repairs. I have asked that they areas be replaced but have not heard back from Home Depot in a week. I also asked for the email address of who selected Superior as the contractor because they should know the shoddy work they perform.If you need flooring and want it installed stay away from Home Depot!

Good service. Prices generally higher than competition but most employees are very knowledgeable, unlike the competition. Good prices on decent quality (but imported) Husky tools. Good electrical department and pro quality electrician tools.

I always have a good experience with the home depot. I think the people that work there have a much higher IQ and the ability to handle complex issues.

Lack of people there and wasnt asked much if I needed help. But overall found what Im looking for. But still needs to be manned better.

I do not recommend this place for houseplants... They dont water them and I dont guess the kids in garden center know what theyre doing. Their either severely under water or overwatered ... Always sad and dying. Dont bother

The home Depot in Peru il is awful, been there 3 times in the last week, 1 time was good it was just before closing the flooring guy was great very knowledgeable and helpful. The other 2 times the employees did not know anything about the department they were in and just played on theyre phone. There was this one kid standing in the aisle texting while this lady probably mid 50s was moving 60lb bags of cement. I went and did it for the lady. When I was done he was still playing on his phone. I told him if he worked for me Id be getting his money!!!

Love looking around and picturing all the projects I can do. Staff is very helpful and kind while store is always clean.

Went to the Home Depot in Peru, Illinois to purchase 1 x 3s and a 4 x 8 sheet of plyood, caulk adhesive, exterior caulk and drip edge for a small project. As you can tell by my name, I am female and I also have a cast on my right arm due to a wrist fracture. I couldnt find anyone to help me find the glue and caulking, so I wandered around the store for 10 minutes until I found it. Then, I returned to the wood department. Same scenario. No one there to help. No one at the service deskI was able to find the 1 x 3s; however, I needed help with the plywood. Several associates walked by me without even asking if I needed help. One associate said hed be right back, but after waiting another 10 minutes sitting on the wood cart, I left. Very poor service.

Best Depot Ive been to. Smaller store, no tool rental. But they have truck rental, carpet cleaner rental, insulation blower rental. They sell sheds. The associates are awesome......very friendly & helpful.

As a contractor, this has to be one of the worst places to order Doors or Windows From. Communication or horrible, Didnt know Patio Door was even in stock until they sent an email saying it will be returned soon. Wow

Hey its Home Depot. You know the giant chain of hardware stores thats all over? Its exactly like every other Home Depot that you have been too. Just be warned, for some reason, thehomedepot.com is completely separate than the retail stores. Its like they are separate companies do be warned if youre going in thinking they can match anything. Electrical guy not helpful, somewhat rude, and doesnt know how to wear a mask.
