Smaller store, but I havent been to others to compare it to. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful, without being in your face. Very comfortable to browse in. A bit pricey on some things, but thats also the nature of the industry. Can find good sales if you look. Clearance area in the back left corner of the store has good deals, especially on shoes.

I love this store! Charlotte is the absolute best. I can in (very close to close, I must admit) and she was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and kind. She helped me with every need, and made sure I was in the best fit for me. She deserves a raise!

They had a vast knowledge of most of the camping gear and were pretty helpful so it was when all together okay visit some of the staff was very knowledgeable for bug stuff means the stuff is a little expensive but not too bad hoping to be able to go back in

An amazing selection of outdoor gear and clothing at very reasonable prices in sales-tax-free NH. The parking is also incredibly convenient. I was also surprised to discover the top rate bicycle department and amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic head bicycle mechanic. I am sorry that EMS is no longer open in Keene, but the Peterborough store is five times bigger that it was, so the loss is rather insignificant. Check it out.

I kinda like EMS and buy all my clothes and almost all my gear there. This time I went to Peterborough store for climbing shoes and harness. Ive got all help and assistance I needed, and it took the guy in the store a lot of effort to find a pair of climbing shoes for my long and narrow feet. Store in Peterborough is quite large (unlike the one in Manchester), despite it seems to be located in the middle of nowhere.

Very helpful and patient as I tried on every boot to find the best fit. 2 thumbs up.

Bought new Oboz hiking boots. The sales person knew all the brands like the back of her hand. She spent at least 45 mins with me while I tried at least 10 boots on. Found great deals on summer cloths @ 50% off!

While visiting cousins, my old hiking boots gave up completely and I was desperate to quickly find a replacement. At the first stop, the clerk didnt know the stock, but at EMS, the service was topnotch, from listening to my predicament, measuring my feet, and bringing out precisely what I needed!

Terrible customer service and the prices are ridiculously expensive. You are almoat always waiting in a line, and no one has ever asked if Ive needed help with anything. I tried calling to rent SUP and was put on hold two times and never even got through to anyone. Unfortunately they are one of your only options in Peterborough area unless you want to drive to Keene. So it seems they think they can treat you however they want. I would never recommend this store to anyon, as Ive never had a good experience herr. If I could give it negative stars I would.
