Customer service is completely lacking. I called around after setting up an appointment at another Maaco. The corpus branch informed me they weren’t equipped to handle my 35ft rig. Called this place Saturday, 26Jun at 1155 and explained my situation. A person with a snobby attitude answered “well, I paint Semi’s” okay; maybe say yes without the pompous demeanor. I asked if I can get a ballpark number. “I don’t do enough of those to give you one” again in his most poignant customer support voice; he gives me a 5K window of what it could be. I tell him I’m in Alice, about 2 hrs away in a 35ft rig at 60-65 mph and ask if we can video conference to close the estimate margin to about 500-1K; I wouldn’t have the make the 4 hr round trip only to find our numbers are way off. “No, sir”. No explanation, no softer answer, not an inkling of customer service in his tone. At this point he stopped talking, deciding the conversation is over; I somehow inconvenienced him with all my silly-Sally questions. A little over a single minute is all the conversation he could stomach. Good luck dealing with this place. Take a look at all their 1-star ratings for an insight into their customer service trends.
Mr. HONEYCUTT is running an apparent honest and good business here in the RGV (Pharr, Tx). Ive used Macco in x 3 occasions and have been content withe their work.

You get what you paid for. I decided to get a budget friendly paint job. The paint job looks great to me. It is what I expected for the amount I paid. Im sure you can pay a lot more and get an excellent paint job if you really wanted, but for me my daily commuter looks great again. Thank you Mark for the great service!

The paint job was a 9 in a scale of 10. The negative aspect in this process was that they broke too many things and I was billed for it.
I wasted a lot money on a paint job that could have been done better. I just wanted them to repaint it like the original paint. I didnt want to rush them so I said take as long as they needed, but do it right. 3 months later I got my truck back missing trim parts. Windows and mirrors were misaligned. Decals and paint stripes were stuck on top of the paint without clear coat (so theyre not protected from sun). I was charged extra to remove back window (their recommendation), but back window rubber has the body paint overspray on it so I know it wasnt removed. Paint is flaking off in areas. Lastly they buffed through the paint in areas.Moral is: save your money and let your kids paint your vehicle (it cant be much worse). $2800 wasted!!

Wish I could give negative stars!! Ive had this location paint a company vehicle for me prior and Mark Trevino and his crew did a great job, therefore I expected the same when dropping off another vehicle for a paint job. After bringing the vehicle in for an initial inspection and time line for return, I Dropped my car off Monday 6-24, with the expectation to be ready 6-29. Its now 7-3 and there is no finish date in site. Because of the initial delay (the car not being ready 6-29), Ive had to pay to rent a car (in addition to the cost of painting). I have stopped in numerous times to check the progress, and to my disappointment it was very obvious this location is under staffed and/or the staff is inadequate to complete their job. While inspecting my vehicle I saw hardly any employees working in the shop, and NO ONE working on my vehicle the various times I dropped in. The representative Mark Trevino has been nothing but amazing trying to explain the delays, but after seeing first hand the LACK of progress I was very disappointed in my choice in paint shop. Although Mark has continued to call and/or update me when Ive stopped in, I have yet to hear from anyone in upper management with an apology or explanation. I am a business owner in the service industry and I understand complications, but this is beyond ridiculous and extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. This experience effects MAACO as a brand, as my company is also a franchise I understand the importance of customer service, professional, and timely workmanship. Im extremely disappointed in the lack of quality workers in this franchise.

Stay away! If you have an insurance claim any other shop would be better and under Texas law you can chose your body shop. If you are looking for low cost solution there are much better places. I went in asking for the deluxe package and wound up having to take the car back after paying an extra $1200 to sand the car down to the metal for a better paint job. They had to respray my car 3 times and the service advisor said, Ive seen worse for $4000 and you got a Frankenstein paint job but it should last longer. His words, not mine, when I asked to speak to the owner his immediate comment was that I was the problem.... If you are not convinced go in and listen to key words like paint imperfections and it will never be. I signed a work order for an amount and when it was time to pick up car it was $900 more. Beware...….
The experience was the best I could hope for. Professional, courteous, timely. The job was done professionally, looked just like the factory finish, and was ready ahead of when they promised. They took care of coordinating with the insurance company for payment and did the job for what the insurance company paid. I would definitely recommend them for any body or paint work you need.They even coordinated the rental car!!

Amazing Experience...Brought the car to Maaco as it was both my estimator and fix location. Said it would take 4 days to complete once they got the part and it did. But then little issues started to arise with the glass installers who unhooked things and dragged their feet on little fixes to make the car good as new. Once that was sorted out everything was back to factory.
I would definitely recommend this MAACO location. We brought in my Lexus IS because it had been badly damaged in a flood. The entire car had water coming into the interior.I brought it in within a day or two because I wanted to minimize the smell that comes with water damage. Anyway they did an awesome job, dried out the carpets and interior meticulously. Absolutely no smell was left in the car even in this valley HEAT. Great customer service too (Tim and David) are very friendly and were informative about my vehicle.
Wow! MAACO, and their lead customer service agent Mark, treated my girlfriends car issue with such class and professionalism! I highly recommend MAACO, especially Mark, because he can be trusted to give you the best estimate, provide an intelligent quote with explanation, and is quick to communicate or reply with information.Two weeks ago, my girlfriends Honda was backed up into, causing nearly $1k in damages. Mark offered us water, was exceptional in his understandings of what was going to be needed to fix the vehicle body and time estimate. He even gave us 10% discount because we are return customers of MAACOs good work-we didnt ask, he had the business integrity to offer it!Upon waiting our estimated time to receive back the car, the work done on the Honda was flawless. The promotion for $300 bucks is a scam it ended up costing from $500 to $900 bucks because it had paint pelling off. That is the reason you take it to get painted and their promotion does not include the paint pelling off so for that reason its a scam they call it repair wow !
FOR FLOOD DAMAGED VEHICLES GET MaacoFlood damaged vehicles develop a foul smell when the carpet gets wet. For my daughter’s flood water damaged car, Maaco did a terrific job by replacing all necessary materials especially the carpet behind the dashboard. Save your money and go to a real professional company. Had a car accident and took my car to get fixed at Macco. A few days later heard a noice, went to my regular mechanic and found many problems, which should have been fixed. Also found out some wires were loose and were not put back after Macco informed me car was fixed. This was the first and definitely my last trip to Macco. Very disappointed with the experience. Would of given 0 🌟 if allowed, but 1 star is lowest possible score. Again save your money and find someone who can fix your car right the first time.
The work to be done on the truck was thoroughly explained and they met every expectation. When I did have a couple areas of concern, it was taken care of promptly.
I run a fleet of 400 vehicles and need them on the road everyday. MAACO in Pharr gets them looking like new and back on the road quickly at a really great price. My company has used them for at least 5 years and we are not going anywhere else.

I just wanted to respond to Pickles Kiedis comment. She brought a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic in with front bumper damage. We removed the old bumper and bottom deflector which is attached to the bottom of the bumper and replaced them new. We repainted the front bumper. This vehicle belongs to another person other than Pickles Kiedis. As I understand it she was paying for the damages. Upon seeing the review, I followed up with the owner of the vehicle who said everything was fine. It is our desire to do quality work at a fare price. I went in to get my new 2015 chevy sonic car fixed which was damaged only from the bumper and bottom cover. They told me no damage was done on the engine or inside so I paid out of pocket over $680 just to replace that. When I received the car a week later, there was a flapping noise when I started the engine and my alarm and horn werent properly working. They told me it was not their fault or problem, they just let me take my car as is, no apologies for messing up the wiring on my new car. Car looks new again but they damaged the wiring in the process, they could of at least apologized. Not satisfied with the way they handled that, honestly would not recommend.
Just called in to get a quote for my truck, and the person that answered was rude.I simply wanted to get an idea of the cost involved in painting the front of my truck, but he ended up giving me a random number. When asked if that was including the half-price promotion that I saw on TV he replied with: well you just wanted me to give you a number. Obviously this person lacks customer service, and I would rather spend my money with another company.
I just wanted an idea of how much a paint job costs. After being told 4 times he cant help me because I didnt have the car with me, which I totally understand, I just wanted an idea. He stopped talking to me and only addtessed my husband. He did not acknowledge me at all. I just finally walked out.
Tim Honeycutt and the staff of MAACO in Pharr, TX, was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient in giving me estimates for extensive body work and paint jobs on two cars. The work was completed in very good time (approximately 4 days for each car) and the finished work was excellent for both cars. I am completely satisfied and have put in a third car for body work and painting.
I took my car in to repair a dent and my car came back with scratches on the trunk, bumper, and inside my vehicle. The workers had denied they were responsible for the damages, even though I had inspected the car before I took it in and I had not noticed any of those scratches. I ended up leaving with my car having more damages that were not there before. Worse service ever!!!!!

They dont deserve anything higher from me. I took my car to get repairs done and they have rescheduled my pick up date 5 times because of minor detail problems. I paid for my service but I still waited 5 days to pick up my car, and there was a loose part inside.
