I was told I was purchasing quartzite for my kitchen countertop and was charged $3500 for two slabs of material. The installer indicated that it was not quartzite, a natural stone, but quartz, a man-made material. When I went to the store to inquire and confirm that I had been sold quartzite as the salesperson had indicated, the woman at the store assured me that it was in fact quartzite and that she would email a certificate of authenticity. She emailed the following night indicating that they had all been mistaken, that the two slabs of material I had purchased, were quartz. She further indicated that I should be happy with the purchase because quartz is easier to clean. When I tried to resolve the issue with the manager of the store, he refused to include me in negotiations because I had paid the installer the money to purchase the material and the manager insisted that he would only talk to the installer. I do not recommend Kapal.
