Definitely my go to for glass when working on projects. They have a great selection and a friendly helpful staff as well as expert knowledge in the different types of glass used for various projects. I highly recommend them to the connoisseur and beginner alike!
A trusted expert! I brought in 2 hopeless stained glass pieces and they were entirely brought back to life. There is a beautiful gallery of pieces for sale too! Such a wonderful selection of colors and styles to choose from
I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the David Albert Stained Glass Studio! I contacted a few stained glass artists near me in the NY area to recreate the coat of arms of the Pontifical North American College as an ordination gift for my brother, but each told me it couldn’t be done. I expanded my search and found Dave, whose website and reviews were impressive. He took on the project and used his creativity to add a beautiful background and border. Everyone who has seen the completed masterpiece (pictured below) has been blown away.Dave is incredibly talented, and I will be forever grateful that he was able to so perfectly create this intricate custom panel for me. I highly recommend Dave and his studio.
I cant recommend this store enough. In addition to having a large selection of glass and supplies, David is also a talented craftsman who has helped me to problem solve issues that have come up in my work, and made suggestions that have been very helpful. This is not one of those specialty stores where you feel like youll be met with an eye roll for not knowing enough about the medium, instead it embodies everything I love about small businesses: helpful, knowledgeable staff, good prices and far more more choices than you would find at a big box stores. Im happy to have this business a short drive from the city
Though David appears to be a nice guy, either he or his employees make continuous mistakes. After my first order took weeks to arrive, I discovered not only was the amount incorrect, but items were missing and incorrect. As I know mistakes happen and David was so nice on the phone, I made the mistake of placing another order. This order took weeks and again, the order was not only incorrect, but an item was missing. I contacted David and he said he would credit my account. After a few weeks I contacted him again and he assured me he would credit my account. It has been about a month and I still have not received my credit. I can not recommend this studio for mail orders.
Dave does a fantastic job with his Stained Glass talents, you will love his work, he also does repairs on leaded and Stained glass.
I am actually not a glass artist. But I use glass and whiting in my photography and David Albert is my go-to place. The store is gorgeous, the prices reasonable and owner and staff knowledgeable and helpful.
This shop has a wonderful selection and the customer service is excellent! The owner is very kind and helpful. Would recommend 100%!
Found the perfect piece of glass. So many amazing pieces to choose from and a great location!
Dave and Nicole are the best. They taught me a lot. Their stained glass inventory for supplies is great. The selection of glass is tops. Why order something you need when they probably have it in stock. The business is a little secret tucked away on Byberry Rd. I am a very satisfied customer. Just wish I had discovered them a long time ago. Curt.
On June 1st and June 10th, I placed an order and received a confirmation of the order and my product total from the 2 orders was $70.24 (before shipping) reflected in emailed invoices that stated We have finished processing your order. The individual invoices were $51.49 plus $18.75 = $70.24 for those products. Finally on June 25th I received my order but my credit card was charged $126.11 after shipping -much higher than what I was prepared for (especially as it took between 2-3 weeks to receive).I was told that shipping and handling (PA to KY) was $41.43 (that I cant argue) but there was also a $14.44 increase in purchase price from the invoice initially sent to me so that the product order went from $70.24 to $84.68 (a 20 % increase) with no notice. No final invoice was sent with the shipment and the shipment was missing one item in the end as well. After talking with the studio on the phone, the rep was congenial but asserted that the cost increase was something that his website states can happen. The problem is, the price from the website to the emailed invoice I received (the only invoice I received) increased AFTER I received the invoice with no chance for me to make a decision after terms had changed. The rep declined to honor the price given on the invoice he sent. The rep argued that his prices (which may change without notice) are competitive -which means that what you expect to pay, and what you are charged in the end may differ (in my case it differed by 20%.) For the and that it took over two weeks to receive the order, and given that the order was incomplete, I can not recommend this company based on this experience.
Very nice, responsible and knowledgeable...
I’ve been going here for all of my stained glass needs for the past 4 years or so and I have always left ecstatic. Everyone working here has such strong expertise and kindness. I am very lucky to have this store near me.
Dave is extremely helpful. He has a great selection of glass and supplies. Hes also an awesome teacher for any one who wants to learn the craft.
Tons of glass to choose from and anything else you would need. Fabulous shop! Restoration and finished pieces for sale too.
I enjoy bringing my stained glass students to David Albert Glass Studio. They are very accommodating to say the least. David and Nicole not only help my students pick out glass but tell them about the beautiful restoration work as well. Great selection and great people!
My original supply shop closed due to retirement and their employees referred me to a different shop. I always left feeling less than impressed and not finding what I needed. Today I walked in for the 1st time to David Albert and knew “ I found a new home”. As silly as it sounds it smelled and felt right. The owner was wonderful and welcoming and right away made me feel at home. For the 1st time in 2 years I was able to get what I needed when I needed it and left the shop knowing I found the best stained glass supply shop in the area. This guy has it all and if he perchance doesn’t, he’ll order it in for you!
We needed a large stained glass window re-leaded and repaired, a new panel made for the top sash of a window where the original was gone, and some smaller repairs to other windows in our Victorian home in South Jersey. We contacted about 15 different companies and got numerous bids on the work. Daves price was the best and allowed us to be able to afford all of the repair and replacement work. That included removing some of the old windows himself to repair, and also some work they did just on site. And he was able to complete the work much faster than the schedules offered by other companies.Besides his great pricing, his craftmanship is remarkable. The large repaired window looks like it is completely brand new, despite being 125+ years old. The replacement panel he made (and designed) looks perfect like it had always been there. His artistry absolutely restored the jewels of our home. Finally, Daves customer service is second to none. He showed up early for every appointment he set and was able to work with us for some pretty tight deadlines. His communication about the work and scheduling was always prompt and thorough and was just a pleasure to work with, through email, on the phone or in person. He and his staff were also very tolerant of my young kids watching them work and asking constant questions. We would recommend his services to anyone with old stained glass windows in need of attention, from simply fixing a single broken pane all the way to the fabrication of a whole new window. Thanks Dave!
David Albert’s talent is seriously over-the -top!We had the pleasure of choosing beautiful glass from his well stocked studio. He was very helpful, patient and even taught me a new technique.Love this place!
You will find the biggest selection of glass and supplies here. I can always count on Dave and his assistant to have what I need, and answer my questions. They are expert in helping me to choose glass for projects that I do. Hands down, the best around!
David and Nicole are extremely helpful and patient. They have gone out of their way to look for a certain color of glass that I needed. Beautiful shop, many choices and a great resource. Thank you!
Im having so much fun learning how to make stained glass and meeting new people each week, its my new creative outlet. David is a great teacher and just being in his shop with all beautiful types of glasses feels calming. I look forward to Wednesday glass class every week!

Great selection of glass! David is always willing to help me find what I’m looking for or can order what is needed in a timely manner.
After speaking with the owner on the phone and getting a price for 8 sheets of spectrum red rough rolled glass I drove all the way out to this place from New Jersey. Once there, I was informed that the price per sheet would be $1.00 per sheet higher because they were in the process of increasing their prices. Totally unethical and Ill never buy from them again! Ripoff City!
David Albert provides a great workshop for beginners on up. Great, patient teacher. Very reasonably priced, all you need is there in one place.
I recently started doing Stainglass again after 15 years so you can imagine I had a lot of questions ;they were wonderful help me out with all my needs and all my questions .They have a great variety of stain glass and tools . Thank you so much, Jeff Schauder
The David Albert Studio (DAS) restored four stained glass windows for the Frankford CDCs newly renovated Daral building in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. If you are ever catching the bus or El train at the Arrott Transportation Center (Formerly Margaret-Orthodox Station) stop in and check out the newly renovated building and awesome stained glass work! The DAS folks were very professional, the price was reasonable and the finished job was of quality.
Great workmanship here
Nice but pricey
Very helpful
Beautiful little hidden gem!!!
