Nice atmosphere, great selection. Prices are what we expected for a small neighborhood store, and the merchandise was good quality and a nice variety. Based on some of the reviews, I was concerned before we got here, but happy we went there (many times). We found the staff helpful and friendly, not in your face but easily accessible. Would recommend.

Best neighborhood corner store in the city! I moved to Center City and still walk down most weekends because they have the best selection of goodies. If you find yourself in Old City as either a resident or a tourist, its a must stop destination. There are over 1,000 items in their inventory, if you need it, they have it!

Prices are fairly high, but this is basically a bodega for people who can afford quarter million dollar apartments and need something but cant go to a grocery store.Deli has some good stuff though, but they have no actual organization system when handing them back so its possible to be given someone elses by mistake and not know until you open it. Idk if theyd have made me a new one if I had noticed it sooner, but I was already back at my office by the time I opened it. That they dont have a system though seems to show that they dont think its worth the effort to prevent.

Was living in an Airbnb for a weeks this place was my goto for milk and other quick stuff, staff was pretty nice!

Corner store with a wide variety of stuff. Pricey though.Dont get anything from the Deli though... not sure if thats a fruit fly on my pickle or what. Either way:Nope.

A great little corner store that seems to carry everything with a large selection of products and brands. The deli inside makes good sandwiches and uses high quality lunch meat (boars Head). Reasonable prices and fast service. The Staff is always friendly and polite.

Sassafras is a Asian owned convenient store with food thats a bit pricey. They have several locations in Philadelphia and only like to put there stores where people who are mostly hipsters, college students, or just have a bit more money than the average consumer and dont mind over spending. They tend to always locate themselves near apartment lifestyle They make sandwiches and hoagies but some locations make it better than others. They carry a lot of unique snacks and regular.snacks, some are organic

A little gem in old city. Im always treated like a celebrity there. A great little selection...if its not there, ask....they will works on getting it in. A little pricey, taxes there are not low!.. It is definately a necessary asset on race street....shop to support... They really help out when i find myself in need of this or that. .they make hoagies!...thanks guys...

Best selection in neighborhood but that doesnt say much. Not particularly clean and somewhat overpriced. If old city had more, this place would be lowered.
