Asked if they make breakfast platters and said no and then yes. IDK. Go to Jeans Cafe the street. Over priced everything...........Floors and shelves are dirty.

VIP fell off. The German beer selection is a shell of its former self.What a shame.

Great place. Food isn’t perfect, but they have a vast selection. Great vegetarian options. Groceries are a little pricy but love to support local joints like this. I miss the lunch buffet and can’t wait to see it back in action. Beer selection is ridiculously amazing.

They put the very least amount of ingredients they could to still call it a hoagie. I remembered them to be good years ago. Not sure what changed. I guess the price is good post-COVID? $8?I should have kept walking to PAC A Deli - they give a better value if the right person is making the hoagies.

Expensive for craft beer. It has your $2 can if whatever if thats what you need.I accidentally left my card in the card reader. The cashier noticed and yelled at me on my way out. Five stars just for that, dude saved my behind.

Really good food,reasonable prices,I really like the Jewish hoagie,all kosher meat delicious, and kimchee fries to die for.

They had the wrong hours listed on Grubhub. I placed my order and about 15 later they called and told me they were not fulfilling any more orders and that I needed to contact Grubhub for a refund. If they were the reason that I couldn’t get my food, why did I have to spend 15 minutes on the phone trying to get my refund from Grubhub?!?

Wow! Awesome Craft beer selection. Great price and very friendly staff. You can make your own 6-pack beer as well as purchase a six-pack of the same beer.

I have been a customer of VIP for at least a decade, my primary reason is the hot bar. The best comparison in my mind is a typical large New York City deli.

Thank goodness for VIP Market or I would have been beerless in Philly. 🍻

I don’t like giving mediocre ratings but the beer here is way overpriced. If I could, I’d give it 5 stars for selection and 2 stars for price.For reference, a 12 pack of Oscar Blues will run you $27 at this place. All the singles are sold at near restaurant prices, and there’s no discount for a mixed six pack. At another place I buy beer a few block away, you can get a 15 pack of Founders All Day IPA for $20, and if you make you’re own six pack you get 10% off. I realize this store is in the heart of the city and things will be more expensive, but when other, similar stores are selling for considerably less, you know you’re paying too much.That being said, this place has an amazing selection and even highlights local beer, but I would not come here for beer unless I was in a pinch.

Sells bad outdated old products “cheese” specifically but wants to charge high prices. Whole bag of cheese had mold on it. But when you ask questions your the bad guy.?. Customers are last at this place. It’s all about the .$. To them. Ridiculous.

The buffet at this place is completely unhygienic. They have pasta and rice sitting out for the buffet at room temperature when it needs to be atleast 130 degrees. Litterally nothing there at at that temperature, and even the cold buffet stuff is not as cold as it should, so they again just have pasta sitting out at slightly colder yet still dangerous temperature. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Watch out in this store. Most products are not labelled with prices and the cashiers pretty much just make up the price at the register. Anything that is not a regularly bought product like milk or bread can vary in price depending on who is working. I got charged 1.89 for a candy bar (a fair price) one night and 3.99 for the same one the next. This type of thing is a regular occurence probably more so late at night when they think they can catch drunk customers out

Gourmet hoagies that are not at all expensive. Exactly what id hoped.

They dont take photo ids of foreign countries - only passports, which is a biiig minus!

Despite all the comments on beer, 1/2 the place sells other goods! One thing in particular is distilled water. For travelers with sleeping machines, its often difficult to find distilled water and even so....late in the day. This place solves both!

Hot foods are always cold when I asked why the temp is so cool, the lady said because they dont want to spoil the food, what about making people sick????
