Coming here has been one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.I’ve had two flat tires within the past 2 months- both of which I’ve come here to get replaced. Both times I have had to come in were urgent so I didn’t have an appointment. Luckily, both times, TJ was present and took care of me right away. The first time, he got me a new tire quickly and I was able to change it at home. This second time, I knew I had to come back hoping he’d be around to help out. He recognized me and greeted me kindly, got me a new tire quickly, and offered to put it on for me all within a half hour. He is incredibly professional, kind, and timely. Any time I have another issue with my car, I’ll be sure to come here. Thank you guys so very much!

I drove all around town looking for an oil change. I came into this shop and TJ and Brady assist me with kindness and squeezed me in their busy schedule at the shop to allow me to get my oil change done. This was definitely great customer service!!!!!

If you are considering this location, run. I have been coming to this place sine it opened and am disappointed every time. Recently I went in the shop to get some nails removed from my tire and check my exhaust system. The shop claimed they check the exhaust and plugged the tires. I drive home, park it, and come out to a manageable flat. Inspect the tire and see the same shiny nail in the same exact spot that I told them it was at. The truck was dropped off by 10am (my appt. time) and was not complete until after 4pm. In this time, what could they have been doing that the reason for the truck to go in was not resolved?Called the shop, to see what the reason was and all they could tell me was to wake up early, bring it in and they can check it out. Two days of being without a car due to one little nail that could have been resolved faster by someone off the faster that the Mavis shop.

Beware of defective products & poor quality control!I was sold a defective tire the first time I came in for a blowout replacement - my pressure light was still on when I picked it up but mistakenly trusted the tire shop wouldnt leave me with a leaking tire and thought it may just take some time for the sensor to re-adjust (Volkswagen electronics am I right?). When I got out of work it was completely flat. I called to notify I had been sold a faulty tire and needed a replacement . They said over the phone I had somehow run over a nail (on the same day and same tire) and that they couldnt possibly have sold me a defected product. When I came in the manager told me my rims may have been damaged (which they shouldve checked the first time). They then went back to their original explanation and said there was a hole somewhere and they patched it up. I drive home and I have the same issue the next day. Before going back I check to see if theres a nail I might have ran over. nope. I call and said the tire is defective and I just want a refund now because I want to get served elsewhere where they actually have quality control or are more accommodating. Staff says their policy is not to do refunds on defective tires but they can only replace them with more from their inventory (???)....finally I give in and roll in and they gave me a new tire. Two and a half days of work lost, several lyft rides later, and a worn out spare tire later, they finally listen to the customer (so I basically paid the price of three tires and lost vacation time to get my flat fixed properly).While the people were friendly on the surface, they should be flexible with their policy - what are the chances a customer flats the SAME tire on the SAME hour within replacing it?

Needed a tire change ASAP, but they didn’t have them in stock the same day. Staff assured me that they’d be able to get the tires delivered the next day. 5 business days (7 calendar) later the full set was available…That cost me $$ hundreds in rental/ ubers.If I hadn’t trusted them, I could’ve ordered online and gotten them sooner.The install was fine. If you’re counting on delivery for special tires/sizes. Don’t count on being timely.If you’re throwing 17”s on a Camry, you’ll probably be fine.

Good service. Prices are fair. Honest and up front about the long wait but there will be a long wait no matter when you bring your vehicle. Seems like Mavis could hire another mechanic.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I took my car here in need of an immediate inspection. Not only did they not inspect the car after I was told it would be, they lied to me and said I needed all new brakes and rotors replaced and it would cost of $625. That did not include the cost of inspection, and any other possible issue they may have made up. Please do not be forced to believe what you are told; get a second opinion . This place was looking to make money off of me because they thought I would just pay up.

Amazing staff and amazing service!! Had a 9am appointment and was seen quickly, and my car was pulled into the shop for service within a matter of minutes. TJ was extremely friendly and professional, and very informative about what my car did and didn’t need. He also set me up with as many discounts as possible to reduce my final price. I didn’t catch the name of the man servicing my car but he was wonderful as well and very prompt with my tire rotation/front brake replacement and new windshield wipers. 10/10 would recommend and come again!

I have been to Mavis Discount Tire three times recently, and all three times I was met with rude and inappropriate customer service at the front desk. While I understand situations with the pandemic and scheduling can make employees stressed, in no way does that excuse how I was spoken to when bringing up my questions.Within the last two visits, I had been ignored, questioned, and disrespected by the front desk employee over my requests for my car (which were direct by the way). I specifically requested for all four of my tires to be replaced, and this person stated that they did not have my specific tires and that they would need to be ordered. At this point I have yet to receive any quote or specifications on tire options or anything really. I asked if I could order them on my own and they mocked me by asking if I was going to order them off of amazon to which I didnt really have an answer.Overall, I get it. Coming from a customer service job, I understand the stressful situations customers can put the employees in, but this was not at all a pleasant experience and I will not be doing business here again.Also two employees were incorrectly wearing masks with portions of their mouths showing while they were indoors.EDIT: I have recently been contacted and revisited the Mavis Discount Tires location I visited. During the conversations I had, the people who spoke with me were extremely understanding and were able to give me their time and guaranteed better customer service during my next visit. I was due for an oil change and they were able to take care of it at an appropriate time while checking up on my brakes and windshield wipers without me asking. They were able to quickly replace my windshield wipers at a very generous price and were overall pleasant. I appreciate the lengths they went to demonstrate the quality of their work and their customer service.

I had a 2pm appointment for state safety and emissions inspections. When I arrived, I was warned itd take a couple hours despite my appointment, as they only have one inspector. Fine, thank you for the heads up. At 5pm, 3 hours later, I was told that my 4.5 year old Nissan for which I keep up with regular maintenence failed the safety inspection and that Id need to put $1,800 into it in order to pass. I was told Id have 30 days to make the repairs, and was asked if Id like them to do the emissions inspection now. Sure, how long will it take? 30 to 40 minutes. OK. An hour later--at 6pm, 4 hours after I arrived to my 2pm appointment--Im called up to the desk and was told the following: I know I told you youd have 30 days, but since its the end of the month and the emissions and safety stickers should have matching dates, youll only have 8 days to make the repairs. Do you still want us to do the emissions inspection, or do you want to wait until next month? Umm, werent you doing the emissions for the last hour that Ive been sitting here? No, we didnt start. Our inspector went on his lunch break. He went on a lunch break at 5pm after his 2pm appointment was waiting there 3 hours. Im angrier about the fourth hour more than the first 3 hours. I declined waiting there a second longer, and took my car elsewhere. I needed significantly less work on my car than Mavis said I needed, for significantly less money. And the inspection and work required took as much time as sitting at Mavis with nothing to show for it. I will say, though, I wouldnt have even written this review if it werent for the hour from 5-6pm that I sat there while they did nothing with my car.

Had a 4pm appt today to replace a tire, and even though they were busy and short staffed, they had my car done in just a little over a half hour. They were friendly and quick, and I’ll definitely be revisiting this location again.

Just had both my lower controller arms done and a wheel alignment. They did an awesome job. Thanks a lot Mavis. Will definitely be recommending other people to your business. Excellent staff here.

I usually don’t do reviews but I had to today. I was sent all around the world, seemed like, trying to get the tires I had ordered through the call center. When I explained the situation to Julius at the Mavis Hunting Park Avenue location, I was treated like a Queen by this young man. His mother would be proud. He went above and beyond for me and my tire needs. Offered an alternative and discounts. Made sure I was good and kept me posted. He even picked me up to retrieve my car. Talk about a lucky and happy lady after doing business with him. He deserves more than 5 stars for sure.

My boyfriend had his SUV there, he got a call to pick it up. In the process he asked the clerk at Mavis on the phone would he be able to bring my car to get rear shocks. It was around 6:30-7. He was told yes, we thought they were going to work on my car by the next day so my boyfriend took his car and came home. By the time he was taking his coat off to relax, he got a call from Mavis to come pick my car up cause it was done. Plus they gave us an amazing discount, so I would definitely recommend Mavis tire Bakers-Center

Wow just got a flat tire after having Mavis put on a new one a month ago. Went to put the donut on and clearly the nuts were super loose and not tightened properly. DANGEROUS! I’ll be calling tomorrow. UPDATE: they only guarantee the tire for one month and had just expired. I went to pep boys and they found nothing wrong with my tire. Poor installation was the problem. Mavis didn’t offer any help. I’m lucky I wasn’t hurt. I do not recommend going to a tire place that doesn’t put on tires correctly nor help you to fix any issues.

I had all four of my tires replaced (after getting a flat and finally biting the bullet and going all-in on the rest of my worn down tires.) The few people I spoke with on the phone were all super friendly and helpful (the hold times can be long but that’s where a little bit of patience comes in handy.) When I got to the garage to drop off my car, TJ was easygoing, helpful and didn’t try to upsell me on anything I didn’t need. He answered all my questions and got me in and out quickly. When I came back the next day, he remembered exactly who I was without me even having to say “I’m here to pick up my car.” He was extremely personable and again, very helpful. I had a tire replaced here years ago on my old car and remember having an easy, pleasant experience back then as well. I would recommend this location to any of my friends!

Oh yeah! This is the place for new tires! I blew a tire out and I called around Philly to every shop that was open and they were they only ones to answer the phone! Short handed and about to close they TJ(manager) still took my car in and suited me with a new tire and warranty for all four of my tires they didn’t even install! I ain’t never seen that before! This is what great customer service looks like! And especially when I need to get back on the road ASAP! Took them all of 15 minutes! If you are in Philly or the surrounding area stop here or call for pricing - Bc I got a killer deal and it didn’t break the bank at all!

Lived up to their promise. I arrived on time and as promised my car was taken in and work began on it. They showed me some things that would need to be attended. I called my dealer because I have a platinum warranty. They didnt lie and try to get me to have the work done there. Its rare for a shop to be honest and transparent. I would recommend them.

I pulled in the lot with no appointment and Michelle was very welcoming to me and helped getting my right size tire with pricing. Another great employee Julius offered a promotion to help assist with the pricing and I was applauded and satisfied with the end results.Mavis is the way to go and has great customer service.

I had the worst experience here. Made an appointment for a PA inspection and brought my car in, handed over the keys, and was told things were on schedule and it would be ready in about two hours. I sat outside to give more space in the small waiting room given were in the middle of a pandemic. An hour and a half later I returned inside to check the status and was told they had not yet started. I had confirmed that it would be no more than two hours when I made the appointment given I had a separate commitment at 3pm. They said they would start then, but gave no promises of time, and said we should have planned to wait all day and should cancel our plans. It did not go unnoticed that I was with my mom, and as women in an auto shop we were completely ignored, others were placed in the queue ahead of us despite our reservation, and when we inquired we were treated awfully as this was all our fault. In retrospect, we should have sat inside and made sure our car was taken care of on schedule, but who expects to have to supervise to ensure proper service? We ended up leaving after spending two hours there, without an inspection, with no apology, so we could make it to our later commitment. I dont recommend this location at all, take your business elsewhere.Update: After my previous review, I was contacted by the store manager who offered his apologies and a free oil change. I booked a new appointment for the inspection and was taken in quickly and efficiently and called right about 2 hours later when it was finished. I appreciated the better service and the discounts but wish it wasnt only because of my bad review. They did make up for the initial incident but I will probably still go elsewhere next time.

Great service, great offers for ongoing tire protection! I got 4 new tires last year, and they do patches for free if I find a nail in a tire, and free tire rotations. Highly recommend!

I made an appointment for Saturday afternoon for a state inspection. Completely useless and a waste of time. When I arrived I was told they were too backed up on “bigger” jobs and I could not be serviced. Knowing this, why would you have me waste my time and resources to come to the appointment when I couldn’t be seen? No phone call or anything. I was told to come back during the week and drop off early. Not a chance. This is an inconsiderate location. I should have taken the previous reviews more seriously.
