I’m not a snobby coffee person, this place is a tish snobby, but the coffee was excellent. Maybe I’ll be a snobby coffee convert! I appreciated that they were open early. I gave them 4/5 because they only had vanilla as a syrup flavor.

Such a cute coffee shop. I love the vibe, the aesthetic, and the masculine theme. Not to mention that the espresso roast is fantastic! I will definitely be returning.

I happened upon this place. The baked goods were excellent. I got some regular coffee which was fine, nothing spectacular. I will try something else next time to give them a full fair shake. I loved the decor and feel of the place.

Spectacular coffee bar in philly. Offer a variety of espresso drinks plus daily rotating pourovers. Pastries available from Machine Shop Boulangerie. Gorgeous space with tons of natural light flowing in. Plenty of space to get work done with high tops, sofsrs, and chairs available. Stop in if youre close by.

Long time fam of Rival Bros, they have a lot of nice locations around the city and are one of the best local coffee chains we have in Philadelphia.Their Spruce st location is super beautiful too, definitely the kind of place to hangout in the morning while catching up on emails, or a great date spot.I had a little bit of everything last time I was there. Expresso and coffee are always on point, and their bread of the day (Maybe of the week) was more than I was expecting, it was awesome! It helped bring me right back to life after a late night out, and ready to work. Will definitely continue to visit here weekly when on showings in the area!

This is the $3.5 croissant, literally half the size. Rip off. If they do this with croissants, now I am thinking what are they doing to coffee.

An old-style old world coffee shop with charm and beauty. And if you have the cappuccinos, they will be beautiful, like a photograph for a magazine. The pastries are made by a well-known Baker in Philadelphia. You cant go wrong with this place!

Liked working at this spot, awesome vibe and love the aesthetic. Quiet place with friendly staff and good pastries. I got a tea but my friends said the lattes are great. Only thing I would change is the benches haha, they’re so uncomfortable but it’s a good idea as far as people not hanging out on them for long, so I get it!

Local coffee shop that brews its own house coffees and teas. I purchased an iced red eye which was 4.75. It was boldly flavored a hearty roast with a tasty foam. They offer a short menu of hot/iced options of espresso/coffee. The cafe is located in a large converted hotel foyer, with somewhat limited seating albeit low noise level and cosy. Not LGBT owned or renowned but welcoming.

Very good coffee. I got a pour-over of an Ethiopian brew. The barista crafted it well and made a delicious cup. The music over the loud speakers is fantastic, but only if you dig garage rock. The ambiance is alright, a little dark for my taste (it made reading a bit more difficult), but all in all wasn’t too bad. Great place, definitely would come back.

The regular drip coffee is delicious and interesting. You can also get a pour over. The pastries are probably the best coffee shop pastries in Philadelphia --- I believe they are cornmeal based instead of regular bread flour, and they are fantastic. Its also a beautiful space attached to The Touraine. Seating is a challenge though, especially when you have a bunch of people with laptops taking up space.

Great vibe and very good coffee but overpriced for me. For comparison, coffee at Gran Cafe L’Acquila is better and fairly priced. Go here if you want to indulge yourself and hang out in a vibey space.

Great little spot! The space is unlike any other, incredibly open but quite cozy...owed to the high ceilings and 1980-mansion decor (think beetle juice). The neutral music playing at the perfect volume and dim(ish) lighting make for a great calm-down after work. The coffe is great, almost smoky and woody in flavor. I have looked around for a coffee shop to settle in at as a usual stop and I found it!

Stopped by here before a walk across the Brooklyn bridge. I had a cortado and my husband had the maple shay, which was super thic(c)k and creamy, and not too sweet. Service was a little slow but overall it was a good place to grab a pick-me-up before the walk.

Coffee was O.K. I like the interior a lot, and I know they get rave reviews etc. which maybe set my expectations high. Staff was helpful, but a bit aloof. I felt a bit out of place there, just with the vibes I was getting from the environment/people around me/staff. Sort of felt like I was always interrupting the staffs conversations, but I am not faulting the staff for socializing because I generally dont care about that (working in the food industry, I get it) and it is not why I give the lower rating; it is because of how they made me feel when Id go up to the counter to ask a question for a recommendation or for the Wi-Fi password.
