I always have a good experience at this store and Ive been shopping here for many years. Its clean, employees are very nice and helpful. They require everyone to wear a mask and actually follow through on it.....which is a nice change from other places in the area. All in all its one of my favorite stores to get groceries at right now.

I love the PA General store! They have a great selection and their value is outstanding. We have ordered from other stores for gift baskets previously but no longer. Their products are consistently better and I love that they are a real family business in PA and not some corporate machine that does not care about their customers. If you love yummy goodies and supporting small businesses, order from them, you won’t go wrong! We are buying cookie tins from them for all our clients.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.Order was placed last week for a time sensitive holiday gift to be delivered today according to UPS. We called UPS to find it’s whereabouts and it hasn’t even shipped yet. Initiating a chargeback immediately since no one answers your phones, and will also be leaving negative reviews elsewhere on your business. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Do not use! When a package is undeliverable they call you after the items are expired. They don’t offer any resolution except that you can feel free to order another item. Just lost over $50.

Great Chocolate Covered Pretzels!!!!!! Professional Staff.

Had a basket overnighted to friends in Florida and it arrived by 1030 this AM and it looked WONDERFUL! The woman who took our order was very friendly and helpful ! We also had Old Fashioned mustard chow-chow shipped to us in June. No problems and it tasted great! Thank you so much. You are definitely our top choice for sending gifts !

I stopped by the shop at the end of the day and saw the cookies were $1 each. I had already bought a bunch of other $1 marked down cookies from another store in the market, but I decided to try their Resses Pieces cookie. It was amazing. So much better than I could ever could have hoped for. Highly, highly recommended for any cookie lovers. Buy extra.I also had some of the best customer service I had ever experienced. My 2 year old dropped his chocolate chip cookie from the other store on the floor and they insisted on giving me a new cookie, even after I had explained that that cookie was not bought at their store. It was delicious. Definitely tastier than the original (dropped) cookie. ❤❤❤

I ended up getting a small souvenir at this shop. However I did take the time to look around at everything they had to offer and this is a really great place to buy souvenirs and Philadelphia merchandise to remember a trip to the city! They also have a variety of snacks, chocolates and other goods that looked pretty tasty!

I had a bad experience with the online service. I love the store itself when I’m there in person but online shipping ranges are way off. If you want it there within 10 days definitely expedite it. I ordered items from other stores with the same ground service AFTER I ordered a product from pa general and the other store arrived in 5 days. Pa general arrived in 11. Customer service’s only solution was to upgrade for $22 plus upgrade charge.

I am from Philly and when I received the William Penn Special on my birthday, I was thrilled. To be honest, most of what I received was great and brought back memories of my early days in my beloved Philly. However, when I opened the Tasty Kake Krimpets, I notice that the expiration showed that I had ONE DAY to eat them. Thats right. The expiration date was the day after they arrived! Not only that, but the icing was a strange color, sort of an off brown and had a mottled look to it. Wonder where and how it was stored. I took one small bight and Ugh! I guess that no one cared if the Tasty Kake was old or their is little quality control or maybe both. I am disappointed. I thought I had a connection between me and my old home town, but this does not represent Philly.

The one thing I will always pay for is great customer service. There was a minor glitch in my order & they IMMEDIATELY corrected the issue, sent out the correct item & there was no extra charge. A+ - They have earned a customer for life. I highly recommend them. I will have a VERY happy cousin in Alaska who will get a huge box of tasty cakes from Pennsylvania. Nothing like bring home to family who is far away.

We received an order that my brother sent us for Easter. How delighted we were until we opened the package. The chocolates were shipped from Pennsylvania to Florida and guess what?? The Goldberg chews were melted, the butter krak melted and the society hill snack mix Rancid. All totally inedible. But the candy coated peanuts still had some coating attached. So when I emailed the company they so graciously told me what they would re-ship which is the butter krack oh and the snack mix they would check on but the chews they didn’t mention. The sad part is my brother has no idea as I don’t want to hurt his feelings. We get regular shipments of pork roll and scrapple factory direct shipped proper maybe that’s the right way to order. So be really careful ordering from this company. Happy Easter!!

I ordered 4 orders of their chocolate covered potato chips for holiday gifts. The actual product is tasty and as expected. However when I ordered them on the 10th of December ( yes I know it was cutting it close) the web site told me expect the delivery by the 20th . So I pulled the trigger and figured even if it was a few days after the 20th I would still be able to give them out as gifts for the holiday. Unfortunately pageneralstore didnt process the order for for 5 days after I placed it and the order arrived at my house 4 days after Christmas . Really put me a bad situation. Not happy with the company, they basically forgot to process their online orders in a timely fashion but were not shy taking my money and telling me everything would happen on time . I hate to leave a bad review when the actual product is great, but in this day and age of amazing online delivery logistics you cant charge extra for delivery and mess up royally. The Service department is obviously run by amateurs.

Ill start out by saying me and my wife love soft pretzels and I mean love...we have been getting them everywhere we have been since they starting being popular in restaurants more then 5 years ago so we have had alot of soft pretzels....so I was excited when I seen I could get them set to me from another state iv not tryed them in yet and we have tryed them in other states....so placed the order for 24 soft pretzels and a lb of milk chocolate covered potato chips cost for shipping was little high but I know they have to get here fast...so fast forward 2 days later they arrive the packing and the boxing was great just how it should be...we then tryed the candy first they were amazing they were so good hints the 3 stars for that and packaging...so then we could not wait to try the pretzels we put them in the over took them out they were not soft at all we did different times and everything to 4 pretzels all came out not soft except for the big middle part...so fast foward to tonight I decided to try them in the microwave I did two of them both came out not soft so we determined thats just how they are....and you might say maybe time was off doing them and Id have to say no we have been baking are own store bought pretzels and homemade pretzels for awhile from lots of places and always turn out soft might not all tast good but soft...and they seem like they are not made that same day as advertised seems like there made a day or two before then frozen and shipped thats why there not very soft...so in all love the chips the shipping was fast and the price of iteams were good and packaging was great....but the main thing the pretzels Id give them a 4 out of 10 not the best not the worst...but wont be buying from there again even for the candy just becues shipping is to much if I was getting both would be a better deal....maybe Ill try them if Im every around maybe there better at the store until then very disappointed in the pretzels...also looking back at the pic online they look nothing like the ones I received...

The cookies here are AWESOME. The people were very nice and the service wa great. I highly recommend this shop if you want super great cookies.
