Nothing like drinking local beers and watching Bob Ross after cruising through some museums. Were not local and stopped in to grab some water. Figured we would also grab a beer to go. Discovered PA has very interesting liquor laws. Beer and wine available for purchase separately on the other side of the store. Ended up opting for just drinking something on tap at the bar. Will say purchase method is a little strange. Still have to get up from the bar and walk over to the register to pay, no open tabs or anything. Wish the gal had a tip jar or something. Register doesnt let you tip. Overall nice stop and beautiful Whole Foods. The cheese section looked AMAZING!
This is a rather nice location. The hot bar could use improvements as it seems to cater mostly to the Vegetarian population, but hey, Im just a visitor and maybe thats the demographics for this store. Otherwise, besides the staff not being available to assist anyone, its a good location.
So fresh and so clean. Friendly shoppers and polite environment. Strangers talk. Staff is happy. Amazon shoppers and discount for prime members. Pure modern heaven on earth. My new favorite super market.
There are a few good things at this store, organic produce, some resonably priced. However, it lost its market feel with the advent of Amazon. Poor selection of vegan prepared foods compared to the suburbs. And the shelves are quite bare for a lot of goods.
All the food looked so fresh so much to choose from cheese dept. was my favorite.
This is the best whole foods in Philadelphia. Amazing garage parking and easy to navigate. The staff is friendly and helpful always eager to assist. Amazon pickup and return is on the lower level, easy to find. The hours are long enough to do late night shopping.
This Whole Foods is great to have in the city. It’s located near the art museum and has two entrances/exits to their parking lot. It can get busy around dinner time, but there’s lots of foods and desserts to choose from. They also have small restaurants located near the check out and a place to get beer and sit to eat.Don’t want to ship your amazon packages to your house over a long weekend? (Or whatever other reason) Opt to send them to this Whole Foods and then pick them up on your trip. Very convenient and pleasant shopping experience.
Love the selection, but the layout is confusing. Theres no clear division between the different meats, so i almost missed the pork as its mixed in with the beef. Also the cashier rang my figs up as cherries. Otherwise the staff is helpful and will show you where things are, and having my Amazon packages delivered here is a great peace of mind
Good organic shopping with huge selection on goods. Prices slightly high but that’s the price of organic shopping. Their service is excellent. Definitely recommend
This is for the Amazon portion which has now moved to the first floor instead of where it used to be near the cards/registers. I went Sunday evening and had the pleasure of the meeting the lady with braids. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but she was awesome. Super nice and friendly. Someone needs to give her a fan and a raise.
Love this location. The store is very clean. One of the only Whole foods I know with restaurants in the store. Goldies falafels are divine. I really appreciate that even though i am in the city, I can find good food, reasonably priced.
This WFs is located in Philadelphia. While visiting my daughter-in-law to be and my son. I often walk there. Well stocked and helpful staff.
I like this store because express register works very good. !
First time there. Pleasantly surprised to see hot and cold salad bar. Staff friendly. Store bright and clean.
Beautiful since the first day. Well stocked with foods as well as non-edibles. Very attractive layout. Someone took a great deal of time and effort to make it so attractive and inviting. JKM.
Idk where to start but this WFM is complete trash. I’ve been here since 8:30am & nothing is filled with food.. I asked a food worker if they were putting out any breakfast food.. he says “no we don’t put food out until 11am.. I don’t want any breakfast food”How wack of a response rather than focusing on explaining why they stopped putting out breakfast food.. if you can have all the high carb unhealthy food out from 11am to sundown then you can put out simple breakfast food.. if you’ve been a avid wfm shopper early in the morning here then you know all the breakfast food they used to put out..This has nothing to do with a pandemic because they still let ppl touch all over the food utensils & flies fly around all the dried out food.. sick of this wfm.. horrible leadership at this cc location.I will be cracking down very soon with whoever is running these departments because I am sick of it..This store acts like a monopoly, they don’t advocate for all the other stuff they say they stand for..Stop putting out unhealthy, high carb heart clogging food all damn day..!!Go to MOM’s Organic Market 34 S 11th St if you have any reverence for your body & what goes in it because this store is part of the reason Americans is sick now!& don’t worry I will be putting faces & names with every department so WFM don’t respond like you care now.
A great supermarket a lot of organic natural foods a few restaurants are open inside whole food And enjoyable atmosphere quick checkouts I highly recommend
Great selection and prices are surprisingly good if you shop the sales and are a Prime member.
Huge market! Many options, especially heathy ones. Best place for buying meats!
This flagship location needs better management to deal with the effects of staff shortages, no carts or baskets found anywhere on second floor, broken/stuck cart elevator on way down, and a 25 min long wait to pay for groceries. I miss what this location used to be and it’s sad how month by month it’s been consistently going in the wrong direction.
Amazon transforms this store to a warehouse more and more, unfortunately...The most annoying part is the always OUT OF SERVICE cart escalator. The only one way to get back to the underground parking is using elevator. Takes time when crowded...Like cmon! Amazon can afford Cart Escalator for its customers, right?!
Love the newer location still withing greater Philadelphia Parkway, place is much bigger, more parking below, & they have everything & more.
Always loved Whole Foods... still shop there but the experience went from a neighborhood store with a Coffee shop on the street and places to sit and eat both in and outside... but now, sadly, it’s a glorified warehouse... more emphasis on stuffing carts that on a pleasant shopping experience... Mom’s market downtown is a bit of a walk but on nice day it’s where I go.
Fresh and high quality products. The price, however, is not very attractive.
Person at the pub was really cute but wouldnt make out with me !!! the store has really good fruit tarts tho
Really nice. They also have federal donuts, Asian restaurant, and sandwiches inside. Lots of parking.
So while trying to grab a quick dinner today @whole foods in Center City Phila. I was startled to see woman walking around in the buffet area with a dog hovering over the food, while she sampled every section. When I inquired I was dismissed as if it was perfectly fine. @wholefoods do a better job monitoring & ensuring open food areas are not exposed to random pets indiscriminately. @wholefoods train your staff properly, customers deserve better!
I love this store. I have been going here for many years. But with all the Amazon shoppers, brings this store down to a 2 stared store. This Whole Foods does not value its customer the way we should be. The Amazon shoppers obviously are more valued because they come first for everything now. Every single time I come here there are no big carts for the original customers to use. They are all occupied by the Amazon shoppers which is unbelievable. When I asked a WF Worker for one he was quite dismissive and seemed like he did not want to help me out. The Amazon shoppers are in the way and they rude. It isn’t a pleasant place to shop anymore. Do better Whole Foods!
Being able to visit them places to me is really nice..
Clean, easy to find items and a good bakery. Well stocked but a little pricey.
The free parking garage is an added bonus! The store is extremely clean and staff are more than happy to help you find an item. Everything is always being restocked and if it’s out of stock on the floor, they will grab it for you from the back. This location also sells beer/wine and the massive hot/cold bar is a great healthy option for lunch or dinner.
Whole Foods used to be my favorite grocery store experience, but I am not really a fan anymore. It is clear that under Amazon’s ownership the environmental values that the store once embodied have gone out the window. Now it’s just all about Prime Now the delivery service (which I have boycotted) where they bring out the non-recyclable/not-optional thick plastic packaging. So wasteful. Yuck.
Went to the fish section and when I asked for a quarter pound of fish, the employee picked it out but then dropped the fish on the floor. He did not serve me the fish that he dropped on the floor but I did notice that he placed the fish back to its section in the window, which is pretty disgusting. Whoever ordered fish after me, I wish you well and hope you don’t get sick.
Very good but limited selection of products. Love that they sell wines, and they have federal donuts store during mornings. The Store set up is a little bit odd, such as the fish area is close to milk and veggies??, then long walk to prep food and bakery. Also, not all health items are close to each other. elevator doesnt go to parking level so if you have a full shopping cart you have to to the street level and go down the stairs and walk to your car, or go through the electric stairs downstairs and walk to your car with all the bags, no practical for elderly customers either.
Best Whole Foods I have ever been to. Very spacious and has tons of variety !
Good and very clean. Will visit again.
Omg his place was HEAVEN!!!! Hand made home made pastas and olives that were so fresh they tasted nutty and buttery not like vinegar. Soaps, clothings, food, household items this store had EVERYTHING!!! I appreciated the fact that they clearly mark if something is vegan which made it easy to shop for my daughter during our visit for her graduation. Huge store!!!
The saying that Whole Foods is really Whole Cheque holds true. Found great products, but hadnt spent that kind of money lately. Been shopping at Aldis. Felt kind of dirty spending that kind of money.
This place is great if you dont mind LITERAL shoeless hippies shopping somewhere in the middle of a pandemic. I generally dont like Whole Foods, but this store is somehow the worst assemblage of fellow shoppers that Ive ever seen. Its almost worse than the Jersey Shore over the Fourth of July weekend.
Great variety across the price spectrum
I really like going to this whole foods. I just wish that they had organic watermelons with real seeds as well as organic grapes also with seeds.
My favorite. I miss breakfast. Darn COVID!!
Excellent service, produce, and feeling I love coming here the workers treat me respectfulyl and the prices are amazing for the quality of the food 10/10 recommend
I love While Foods!!Expensive, but worth every dime.
Beautiful location this one in particular is quite large the bakery section is amazing just go.
Great selectionFresh stuffA bit expensiveGood cashier service
Lord have mercy, they have the best tres leches this side of the Rio Grande. But those lines! Get in there early cause once 3:00 pm hits youre gonna have to elbow people to get through the aisles.
Ok, but no parking. Under stock on certain items or no varieties of certain frozen pizzas.
Love coming here for the baked goods the selection, bread is always hot the sweets are delicious!
Great place to shop good atmosphere
Beautiful they have Amazon there place is clean seems like the people are friendly 😀👌
Loved this location! Excellent variety of foods, great staff and love that this location has underground parking!!
WFM used to have breakfast items in the cold prepared food section, unfortunately they do not anymore. You are FORCED into a limited selection at the hot foods bar for breakfast items. This is very unfortunate if you want to grab it and go for later in the morning. Also there are more foods in the cold prepared that are undesirable to the average American who doesnt like curry.
Hate the layout. Not as much variety or stock as I expected. Next time I will just use Amazon instead of making the trip there.
Veey Nice Store ALWAYS haa what Im looking for!!!!!!
Always clean and organized.Customer service at the bakery was welcoming, attentive and pleasant!Stopped in just to get my salted caramel mini cups.... only one in the city to carry these sweet little indulges.. so tiny! Soo yummy!Just enough to curb your sweet tooth. $2 per cupHubs purchased his cookies and cream and birthday cake cupcakes.
Well, I guess if you need variety when buying a box of keto brownies, then you will be happy. I, on the other hand, had trouble finding light rye and cake flour as well as Dutch processed chocolate (not altogether common, but not uncommon either) in order to make Anne Changs Ashleys birthday cake.
Shelves are never stocked with my favorite items. I always have to ask if theres any. Some workers are helpful and polite some are not.
Well definitely if youre into, fresh, organic products, whole foods is the place, cashiers were friendly, some of the customers were rude, bumping your cart. Employees had on face mask, and sanitizer all around the place. It was crowded, because it was such a nice day. They sell beautiful flowers
Horrible customer service i would not recommend applying here they are very rude and unprofessional
Incredible store. Great produce, lovely staff and plenty of space.
I personally don’t like that they turned the first floor into... there used to be nice little bars but now it’s all Amazon warehouses...
Whole Foods is always fun for me. I am a foodie. I always find what I need their and love the quality of their produce and fresh fish. Can be pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Amazon returns good customers serve.
LOVE WHOLE FOODS ... IF U WANNA EAT 2 LIVE WHOLE FOODS IS PLACE
MY FAVORITE MARKET ... ALWAYS 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I’m so happy this is my local Whole Foods! The location is premiere with close access to the city without it being in the busiest districts. It’s highly walkable with a huge garage if you decide to drive. The staff is friendly and consistent! I love the food court area (obviously during non-Covid times!) and even love the coffee they serve here as it’s fresh and never sitting out too long!
I received exemplary customer service from Carter and Alisha today and greatly appreciate the time they took to help me out!I am a NJ resident. I purchased a $50 supplement at a local Whole Foods near me, the Millburn Union store. That staff and management at Whole Foods there wouldnt accept my return with a receipt and their reasoning was because of Covid. However if I had purchased the item from Amazon.com, I could easily have returned it at the Amazon return center located in their Millburn Union store, 20 feet away from their Customer Service desk. That store manager didnt seem to understand that her rationale for not accepting my return was illogical and the explanation she gave me for not accepting the return, considering I was being penalized for purchasing an item in her store versus on Amazon. com.Thankfully, Carter and Alisha understood the rationale behind my concern and were able to assist me with returning the supplement and did not require me to drive 2 hours to Philly in one direction to resolve it.THANK YOU Carter and Alisha for helping me out, for caring about your customers and for having minds that understand logic- because of you both I am willing to go back to a Whole Foods again, just not the Millburn Union location!
If you care about quality food and care about what you put in your body whole foods is a must go place for your shopping. As soon as you walk in what a experience extremely extremely clean. The staff was wonderful and everything was easy to find. Precious were a bit high but worth every penny of what I got will be back many many times keep up the good work whole foods.
On the weekend theres a long line. I prefer weekday.I confirm. I did remark that cars too. Most of the time they charging for hours hhh.
Clean and Quiet for the most part. The market is big enough for everyone to have their own space. Never had an issue here. Free parking in a covered garage underground. Wheelchair accessible and elevator in store. Nice people work here.
Expensive. Prepackaged goods are okay. Cooked meals are mediocre and not worth the cost.
Great selection just pricey
Perpetually out of stock of basic items, crowded, and repurposed as an Amazon Prime warehouse, this store has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. Some changes made for the pandemic, unfortunately, seem permanent, like the installation of industrial elevators for the army of gig workers who are forced to shop and navigate the same tight corridors with everyone else.
Great place to shop. The staff was great.
We stopped in to get something to eat, very quick, they have a nice food court. There was no waiting no fussing no guess working you see what you want you pick up and check out simple.
Expensive AF do not recommend lmao
Well stocked and thank God they have parking available on site. By far my favorite WF location.
It aint what it used to be: no bulk foods, lots of Amazon shoppers, no doityourself bread slicing. But the cheeses, meats, produce and fish are still good and plentiful!
It was really amazing to visit Whole Foods.
Good sushi, and beautiful people!
Always have the best fruit.
I was looking for an amazing piece of meat to prepare for a family dinner. I specifically wanted a usda prime grade dry aged prime rib. It was very hard to source and Whole Foods came through. They were able to get me a 9lb slab and it came out amazing. I seared it with a torch and slow roasted in the oven to perfection. It was probably the single greatest meal I’ve ever made and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Whole Foods! Thank you so much!
