Youd think with all the $$ the store saves not hiring cashiers that the prices would be better?? Enough with the self check out already. If I wanted no frills shopping Id go to Walmart. Oh and whats up with the deli??? Why cant we order directly with a live person? You can do it at Stop N Shop.

So as a new Alpha, NJ resident. I have to admit this shoprite is just the organized and the biggest I have been to. Love the selections. I did self check out, stations were clean and very easy to use. It did not give me an issue when I could not leave big items on belt after scanning 🙄 lord knows I hate when that machine beeps telling me to put item back on the belt, like it doesnt fit Hello 😂! All in all great place to shop.

This is a very busy location! The weekends and afternoon hours during the week seem to be their busiest times. I usually stop on my way home from work around 4pm during the week because it’s more convenient for me since I’m already driving by the shopping center during my commute. That being said, the store is usually very well stocked and there is many employees working in the store. The store is always clean and has fresh produce and meats.

Just shopped at this location after a long day at work. Was checking out at self check out snd asked the worker “David” at that designated area a simple question. He was clueless! When I asked him if he could find out by asking another employee he suggested that I go to customer service and waste more of my time for something that he should already know as part of his job. Honestly, this was my only customer service experience at this location and it did not make a good impression.

First time theyre in the middle of the day quite a while not too crowded. Also with the new masking rules was a little confused because outside there was a board that said to wear masks but there were persons inside that were choosing not to mask. I have no problem with that. I dont want to be judged because I still wear my mask. All in all good experience.

Waited an hour for my order to come out to me using their curbside pickup. Everything was correct with the order but it took an hour still. Smh.

Giving the deli 1 star for serving Black Bear products. Wife came home with Black Bear turkey. Was a substitution from Deitz and Watson witch is average at best. Black Bear Turkey is gross. I dare anyone to try Black Bear meats and cheeses. Garbage. Also ordered Truman’s ham was substituted for shop rite brand. Although not as bad it was still junk. I am going to Stop and Shop going forward. They sell Boars Head a far superior product to Black Bear and Deitz and Watson. Get better Shop Rite.

Big place with lots of variety. Everyone was extremely helpful and willing to assist. Minor issue I had was I couldnt find Spanish salami or frying cheese. Other than that, great place to get your groceries.

Always enjoy coming to shop rite when visiting from California. Besides most EVERYTHING I need, really enjoy cold cuts, prepared dinners and sandwiches and baked goods.Not like the simple original shop rite in scotch plains run by your eventual CEO, Herb Brody

Well organized. Fish department is very good and has a good selection of fresh fish and seafood. Meat dept is also very good and is always well stocked. Fruits and vegetables dept is also good with a great selection of fresh produce.You rarely have to wait in line for long when checking out and theres also a self-checkout area with plenty of registers available.

This Shop Rite just rocks...My hubby actually has staff groupies that tell him about specials...tell him about fresh items available...he even has a special gal he just goes to for check out...this staff goes above and beyond for sure!

Went on 4/20/21 to pick up my dads birthday cake which I ordered online. I ordered a chocolate cannoli cake with royal blue outline icing, light blue balloons and white writing. It was all in royal blue. Im not sure why its hard to follow what I ordered. It was actually handed to me without the writing, by an employee who wasnt very friendly, and I let her know that I ordered it with writing. She looked at the paper and said, oh ok, and brought it back. She wrote on it with royal blue icing when the paper clearly states white icing. Its too bad that the employee wasnt friendly and the directions werent followed, because the cake was delicious. I just expect it to be how I ordered and for friendly service.

Nice store. Clean, wide aisles. Good deli. Good prices.

Best thing since Grams chicken soup. Meaning, its all there. Priced to afford. You walk away full, happy and healthier. Really they beat the competition in many ways beside costs. Selections. Options. Knowledgeable staff.

I wanted to give a 5 star to the Bakery department. I ordered a cake for my sons birthday and they were kind and made sure I was getting what I wanted. You can tell they care about what they do because it shows in their product. The cake not only looked amazing it tasted amazing. I can not thank them enough.

I prefer this location...& it’s such a beautiful store to shop in. In fact, I drive from PA to shop here for my mom and go well out of my way. I am however, very unhappy with the inaccuracy of your hours posted on the website. I left with my disabled mother & drove all the way down to NJ to find that the store was closed early when I needed to pick up a specific item for her. Lost my business to your competitors, and I imagine that of many others when they find the store is closed and not operating according to the hours posted.😕

I have been coming there for years. And I want to acknowledge an exceptional employee Grace (cashier). She is always so helpful and every time I come she is running around helping customers. It is shuch a delight and pleasure to see someone who is always so pleasant. Especially during this time when you see people angry with the self check-outs, she is always there with such a great attitude and so helpful.

I recently moved to this area and wondered if this Shop Rite would or could match my previous one in Branchburg, NJ. Its not quite at that level yet, but the register folks are fast, friendly and polite. The seafood department is quite good too. My rating is 4 stars but saving one for some room for improvement. The meat department could use some better cuts and a better selection of chef grade steaks and chops. The poultry selection is top notch. The bakery selections really need some work as the gourmet cookies always seem on the stale side as is the artisinal breads. The produce layout seems off center and not quite a flowing, easy to shop lay out. Otherwise a great store and very good to excellent parking. The other issue is slow cart retrieval, the smaller carts are almost impossible to find. 4 stars for now.

It is always crowded on a Sunday but still has the best meat selection of all supermarket in the area.

ShopRote from home orders are consistently late and substitutions are hit or miss. We have used ShopRite from home at this location for 2 years, I cant remember the last time my order was ready inside the pickup window. I check in at or before the start of the window but the order typically comes out 5-10 minutes after the end of the window.

Cashiers are great work very hard.

By far the best thing in the area, but definitely nowhere near the level of Market District in Robinson Township Pennsylvania.

Lots of food selections, excellent personnel, & reasonable prices. Only negative is stores proclivity to change things around in the store. Very frustrating after Ive learned where items are in the store and then cant find them.

Had to eist the assistance of a front end manager, didnt get his name, who was also very patient and helpful. Will shop here when need arises and in the area. 5⭐

Shop Rite from Home online shopping is so convenient. The staff very friendly. If an item isn’t available they call me and ask for a substitute. If they forget something that I paid for they drive it 10 miles to my house! They have free internet fees often. Saves me time and money. I can enter notes on items, like green bananas instead of ripe ones. The shoppers get it right 9x out of 10! I highly recommend.

I drive from Saylorsburg into New Jersey to specifically shop at this ShopRite period we have a big giant one in brodheadsville and its always dirty. Staff is not attentive. And for months they still had the coronavirus sign limits all over the store even though there were no limits per the employees. It just has a feeling in that store of being less than the best.

Went to ShopRite Friday morning and shopping was fine. Not as crowded as one might expect for a Friday. I found most of what I wanted but a few items werent on the shelves.

ShopRite from Home, curbside pickup is fantastic for normal times but could use a few updates based on current events. First of all why do I need to sign a paper with your scurvy pen and paper to confirm pickup in this day and age? Please look at how your competition does it, they are winning here. Add numbers to the parking spots people, this is as easy as 1, 2, 3 literally. Also space out your parking spots while this continues. Every other spot works.There is a row of 10 parking spots, or so designated for pickup. Instead of having a human (very friendly but extremely unnecessary contact) come out to each car and ask your name and if you need to pay - mind you this is after you call and let them know you are there - why not ask customers to say things like Im parked at spot 7 and my name is x. Or even better, have an app to do that once the customer parks and let that take credit card payments, if the customer didnt pay in advance. I also dont want the same people that are handling cash or payments also handling food. Cant we have a zero interaction row? Just drop my food off in my truck with the receipt and let me go on my way. In summary great friendly service, but can use a few improvements to minimize unnecessary contact. The guy in the car next to me is coughing and sneezing and the wait time is like 30 minutes.

13 lanes and only one open with with a bunch of people waiting in line. Rediculous.

I recently had a communion party for my son on 9/20/2020, and I ordered trays of catered food for pick up, and the experience was terrific. The service was top-notch, and everything was on point. The staff was courteous and accommodating. I items were neatly packed and brought to me in shopping carts. The salads were wonderfully prepared with quality fresh vegetables. The fried chicken was also a big hit. It was not too salty, yet tasty and juicy. The sauce to the chicken marsala was very nicely prepared with perfect balance in richness and acidity, but the chicken breast was a bit overcooked (tough). The sausage and peppers were well prepared and tasted like it was made at the 18th Ave feast in Brooklyn or the San Gennaro feast in NYC. My group also enjoyed the fruit platter with chocolate dipping sauce and coconut shavings. The vegetable platter was so beautifully prepared and loaded with quality vegetables. The shrimp cocktail platter was nicely laid out with fresh, perfect bit-size shrimps. The Sushi Roll Platter was incredibly fresh and tasty. The sheet cake was a bit sweet for me, but most of my company enjoyed it. The BBQ ribs were the only item that forced me to take a star away. Instead of boiling the flavor out to the ribs first, the chef should have placed it a tray and bake it before grilling and brushing on the BBQ sauce. Overall, I would continue to come back to order food for parties. I just have to get the ribs from elsewhere.

They need more people servicing customers in the seafood dept. It has been taking over 30 minutes to get helped when the store is not crowded. It is very difficult to maintain social distancing when everyone is waiting in that small area.

Growing up ShopRite was just a super market that smelled like raw meat and produce😂🤣 but this ShopRite was so inviting, clean and bright. The many varieties and options. The produce looked so clean and edible. The olive bar was enticing. The bright lights made the store a pleasant trip. And the store is huge. As a child growing up in the North... to come back home to beautiful changes of a store chain I once frequent was welcoming.

A large store with a variety of brand name products at good prices. There’s a hot food bar and a variety of prepared foods and sandwiches. There is a pharmacy also. Some products that are advertised are not always available. The staff are friendly and willing to help you find what you need.

Horrible. My wife made me go for no reason. Everything was morphing into one giant blob and all the employees looked like giant green lizards. I could form sentences while talking to people and Im also pretty sure I was on acid......

We had the WORST experience here. They were near closing and had made an announcement to let the customers know. Two minutes later, as we were walking to self check out, Tomeka came up to us and word for word said we are closed already. We have been closed for a while and have already made an announcement about it. I let her know that we were already heading that way (mind you, we were in front of the regular check outs) and she told us Well I have to close the self check out but I guess Ill help you out. She and the other employees were rushing all the customers out as this was happening as well. Tomeka has the NASTIEST attitude and should work on her customer service. There is a better way to talk to customers.

Overall it is usually nice, however I get out of work about 30mins before they close. I work in the shopping center across the street so I can make it there on time, however on my last visit as I walked in an older man in produce yelled at me that we close soon and to hurry it up cuz we all want to leave & go home. Listen, that is no way to talk to customers. I work in retail and often close up my store. You cant yell at customers to leave or hurry up. Making polite announcements sure, but that was just awful. Rethinking go over to Stop & Shop instead

The store is spotless, well stocked, employees are polite, knowledgeable and personable. If shoprite doesnt have an item the employees will suggest going up front, which I do and they get it as soon as they can. Love this store

One of the best run,staffed and maintained food locations in the area. Forget about the competition shop tires general pricing policies beat the competition by a milestone. If you follow the weekly ads and shop the first page the savings recognized by a shopper are definitely worth the drive there.
