So impressed that they explained everything to us before doing the work and got our ok to do the work. I have been going here for probably 6-7 years. I tried several other shops around the area throughout the last 20 years, but have found this shop, and specifically Todd, are the absolute best to work with. They are fair, not over priced, so good work and put the customer first!

I have been going to this location since I moved to the Arizona area about 2 years ago. The team at Brakes Plus is always knowledgeable and friendly that as a customer I feel like part of the Brakes Plus family. I have referred many friends, both new and already established in the area, to this location because I know their needs for their own vehicles will be met timely, professionally, and with the utmost care.

For starters, I was at the location the entire time my brakes were being fixed and repaired. So I was there for about 2 1/2 hours. One of the men took the time to show me that my brakes needed new rotors and showed me to my car. Also he told me the price ahead of time which eased my mind incredibly. During my wait, I enjoyed a lunch and had excellent service from the front desk. I felt very comfortable and my car was taken care of to the fullest. I have saved so much money on my car despite me owning a European car which usually has to have specific maintenance done, unfortunately. This has probably been one of the greatest experiences Ive had and Im happy to say Ill be coming back. I give special thanks to Craig, Todd, and I believe Jose, for the wonderful service. This is a neutral rating due to the damage that was done to my Class B RV.The service manager immediately took care of the issue and the repair was done. They were really great about it. It was shocking for me to discover the damage firsthand.However, I was completely happy they took ownership of the damage. Unexpected things happen. That is why we have insurance.However, the technician should have known a hydraulic jack rated for an average car would not have worked on a van of this weight class.

Air conditioning failed after the system was serviced in Feb. Compressor was replaced then. Brakes Plus got the air conditioning up and running, replacing parts etc under warranty. Got the vehicle back the same day. Did a good job for me. Will keep using Brakes Plus.

I went into a brake shop for an alignment, the price was on the wall, and they charged me that price. WHAT! A brake shop? Ive never left a car repair place of any kind and not gotten 2 pages of items that need repair and service. I replaced a few components, axel, cv, etc and needed an alignment. This review is for Citizens inside and outisde of the immediate Ahwatukee Area . Read below and beware!Yesterdays rain brought a small flood to the dip in the road on 48th ST & Warner Rd. The flood puddle was only a foot in height and about 30 ft from start to finish. My vehicle died immediately after having passed thru the flood runoff puddle. None the less there were quite a few other people who had also gotten stuck in that same period at that immediate location. There were some very strange people in that immediate area that were lingering around seemingly trying to help people that had gotten stuck there. An opinion was thrown out that there a local news reporter of sorts that was seemingly at the center of this flooded area and up to who knows what other than closely observing what was transpiring at the momment. None the less a local couple with a jeep towed me to the Mc Donalds and helped me to pop the hood and to try to diagnose and then try to jump the the vehicle to no avail. I was able to get the vehicle towed to Brakes Plus by AAA. They were to perform a diagnostic. In the perormance of their diagnostic they informed me that in their inspection they discovered that the motor, oil, and transmission was full of water.They informed that they wanted to perform a flush of the motor oil, replace the oil filter, flush the transmission fluid, replace the spark plugs, plug wires, and perform a rear differential service. I agreed to the service in good faith that they could fix the issue based upon a few services that they had performed prior on my vehicle prior intall (minor aftermarket parts) and the immediate conversation that we had.Needless to say these people here scammed me for $756.67 after having perfomed these services. I do believe in converstion with the service representatives the actually switched out the paperwork right infront of during our conversation and before me leaving and after having signed the last page of the paperwork . All With an additional cherry on top for the kicker being that motor has a knocking sound which they observed and they described as lifter ticking after immediately having performed these repair services. The vehicle will not run properly at all.Upon my inspection the vehichles key fob auto igntion now no longer works whatsoever for the silverado. The motor knocks and extremely rough idle. The truck still throws the p0300, p0302 code after they supposedly had addressed the issue when I brought to their attention immediately when arriving at their shop. The oil intake tube and dipstick is all rusted out and was loosened. Ignition coil fasteners striped. Dialetric grease and antisieze was not utilized. Large portions of wire loom was removed and feet of wire is now exposed to the heat of the top and side of the motor block. Many of the wire harnesses and retainer clips were disconnected and left haning in the engine bay. The oil pressure gage only reads at 20 psi.The complete engine run time hours total on the motor is now completely reset to 0 indicating that the motor inside the vehicle has no runtime hours except for the 1.5 hrs that it now has indicated on the dash. This would signal and indicate that this Silverado 5.3 motor is new with only 1.5 hrs total engine run time. I was charged for an 2 part fuel injection kit @ $40.49 and an and a fuel induction service @ $59.50 that I was never told about before hand nor am I totaly sure these were even installed or preformed. Charged for Economy ignition wire set @ $128.00. I provided the spark plugs. They utilized a $5 oil filter. Their parts descriptor is stating that the parts they sourced for this repair came in @ a total of $319.33. Discrepancy in their paperwork and math shows I was charged an additional $192 on top of the labor charge itself.I did not recieve back the oil filter, spark plugs, ignition wires. I also did not recieve back the fuel injection kit that they are claiming was replaced.Did a motor oil flush a week ago the new oil was black as black. 2nd time here. Trans pan was loosened and leaking

For 5 years weve been having our vehicles repaired @ Brakes plus on 48th st./Chandler Blvd. Todd and his crew are awesome, they are honest, the repairs are TOP NOTCH! and they provide courtesy rides to and from the shop. I wouldnt be afraid to recommend them.

Thank you Todd for your excellent service to my vehicle. My car would totally die. I checked the battery cables, wiring and was not able to resolve the issue. I called Todd up and had the car towed to the Ahwatukee location for diagnostics. Brakes plus was fair with the price and the issue is completely resolved within a very short period time. I did not have to use any vacation time to have my vehicle repaired. I appreciate your professionalism and quick turnaround at a very low cost. I broke down less than a mile from home. my jack was rusted so I walked across the street to Brakes Plus to ask if I could borrow a floor jack. They didnt have to help me but they did. In fact Justin (from Brakes Plus) followed me as I limped my truck with a bad spindle 3/4 mile to home. you cant beat that commitment of going above and beyond to help out a stranger. just imagine how dedicated they are to taking care of their customers vehicles.

Been dealing with Todd for many years and hes probably a top producing store manager as I never get out for less than $400-500. My last visit for new AC was triple that for a system that never really worked well, and now 2 years to the date is dead. Supposedly the compressor is lifetime warranty but Im sure it will still be another $1k+.Brakes are never the price on the special, always around $400+. The $29 oil change always finds its way to an inflated find running up my bill. Im a glutten for punishment as I continued as a customer up until the AC crash and burn 2 years ago. Gotta take it into check ac but its killing me.

I brought one of my vehicles to them today to have some routine maintenance done and also asked to diagnose a steering wheel vibration which occurs around 65mph. They found the problem (damaged passenger side rim) and also saved me the time and effort to bring the wheel to next door business Discount Tire for review/replacement. They then obtained the replacement wheel back from Discount Tire for me (after I had authorized a replacement rim) to have my vehicle ready same day. They found the problem when another shop could not. Kudos to Justin for correctly diagnosing the issue and facilitating the repair/transfer. I really appreciate a shop that does great work, and has a high degree of integrity. They are an excellent choice for all of your vehicle needs.

Todd was amazing. Mine is a 2004 Honda that needed new struts badly. The location on 48th Street was highly regarded by a friend who knows about car repairs. The price was great and service was wonderful. I went back to make sure my very old car was brought up to top notch condition for a very long trip and things I had never thought to service were finally taken care of. The price again was fantastic AND the car drove like a new car. Who thinks of replacing the cabin filter? My a/c is even better just from that! I am more than pleased and recommend this shop very highly!

After taking my vehicle in for a vibration issue and being advised the issue was fixed, it was not. I brought my vehicle back to them and they replaced the rotors at no charge. Very good customer service!!!

While I appreciate the brake service they did back in February. Great job then btw! I had another issue with my power steering leaking just recently that they fixed for a nice hefty cost, just to bring it back a few days later with the problem being much worse. They told me there was a problem with the rack which was replaced at aamco 2 years prior. That it would cost nearly another grand to replace... I brought it back to aamco for a second opinion with the part being under a lifetime warranty. They stated there was absolutely nothing wrong with the rack, that a hose was just installed improperly and seemed intentionally to do further work. They corrected the mistake at aamco at no cost to me within two hours in their scheduled day, cleaned up my car and sent me on my way... I have let almost two weeks pass before writing this review to be sure my car is still functioning normally with no further leaking.While I think the gentleman that work at brakes plus are very kind and seem knowledgeable, I dont think I will use their services further. I do think they were trying to take advantage of me. They should have stated the first time bringing my car in the rack needed replacement before overhauling the power steering system. Never said a word until after. Misstep? Or trying to get more money from me?

The staff who checked me in were friendly and efficient and used my vehicles VIN # to confirm what service was needed for my VW. Brakes Plus on 48th and Chandler, is the best place to get your car or truck fixed or maintained. I highly recommend this place.Every time I have needed something done they fit me in and were straight up with me. They are fast and efficient at what they do.Today I got my CV Axles replaced on my Nissan and they got it done within 2 hrs. Todd even showed me the oil and the reason they needed to be replaced. This place is honest, which is hard to find.

Brakes Plus was a solution to my jigsaw puzzle and they did it fast and reasonably priced. I have an out of warranty Mercedes with a battery that is pricey, hard to find, and hard to install. After calling several of their competitors to no avail, I gave Brakes Plus a call and within an hour or so my challenge was resolved. The shop is clean, the coffee is good, the staff are pleasant, effective and knowledgeable. They saved the day, I will be back.

Really bad experience. Paid nearly $400 for brakes to not squeal at stops. My car started squealing the next day after the initial fix. Had to take my car back at least 3 times after that just for a squealing sound. During the last session, Todd, the gm, says, well what do you want us to do?.. Fix the squealing Tod. Thats it. Thats not it though. When I dropped my car off to be serviced. Tod ask if he can have some time with it. I left it at 8am and had to call them an hour before closing for them to tell me I can pic it up in 30 minutes or leave it overnight. Then when I get there 30 min later, Theyre still driving it. Now I have to press a lot harder on my brakes to stop but hey, the squeal is gone.

I dont recommend anyone to go to this location they are thieves. I took my daughters car for a routine oil change and they did not change the oil or the filter all they did is add more oil. And whats worse they were trying to convince me that my axle not only one but both of them were broken and yet to be replaced right away the total cost that they wanted to charge me was going to be 500 to $700 . I took it somewhere else to get a second opinion and they told me that my axles were in perfect condition they were not damaged nothing was ripped or broken or cracked. I will never go to this location or trust the people that work at brakes plus ever again I do not recommend no one to go to this place. Never trust the salesman and double check to see if any work was done to your vehicle.

Incredible service! I have lived in the Phoenix area for over 20 years and just stumbled upon this place recently. I have had them do oil changes, brakes multiple times, and they fixed my air conditioning earlier today. Undoubtedly the best service team I have ever found in Phoenix from top to bottom. Todd, the general manager, and all of his staff are honest and trustworthy on your vehicle needs. I live in Gilbert and will continue to drive out of my way to go see these guys for oil changes and any other maintenance I need. You will not be disappointed!

Ive been going to Brakes Plus in the Denver area for years, recently moved to Phoenix. I had an oil change done, and also had them check my brakes for a clinking noise Id been hearing for some time. They checked it out thoroughly and assured me it was not an issue, and that I didnt need to have any brake work done at this time. I was also shown a strut that was leaking-no high pressure to sell me new ones right then, just something to start thinking about. Thanks guys-great service!!!

My truck broke down in the parking lot next to Brakes Plus. I called AAA and they came out in a mini van to tell me my starter was bad and my battery needed to be replaced. Its Friday after 3pm so I run across the parking lot to see if Brakes Plus can help. Justin sends two guys out and they help push my truck around a building, through a parking lot and into one of their bays. He tells me hes not sure if they can get it done before they close but hes going to try hes best. Justin did his best because I was out of there before they closed with a new starter and battery in my truck.Im very particular about my truck since it is very custom, but Id take my truck back to these guys any day for a repair needed.

I came in thinking I needed new brakes, but the mechanics didnt try to upsell me anything, or coerce me. They just recommended a cleaning for way cheaper than Id expected. They also explained the difference between brakes since my car had a different type of brake.

Today was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back for all my future brake issues. These guys are honest, professional, Informative, and all around awesome. The prices are reasonable and I strongly recommend this location.

I went here to get my brake pads looked at. It was free to have them examine my car, which was wonderful to hear. They were very quick at getting my car in and after they looked at them, they walked me back to my car to show me what they found and what they recommended needed to be fixed. They were honest and told me only one axle needed new pads instead of trying to make me replace both axles for more money. Everyone I spoke to was professional and friendly. If I ever need my car serviced again, I would choose this Brakes Plus. I definitely recommend them to everyone!
