A few weeks ago our Ford Explorer needed a tune up while it was out of town. We chose Simon & Sons as their prices seemed reasonable though bit steep, but not too terribly out of line.From the get go there were issues.🤬 the techs(???) who received our Ford were told that it needed plugs and wires and it would be picked up at 5ish. When our daughter arrived, NOTHING had been done. The techs had told the mechanic that we had done the tune up, and we wanted the job inspected, not that we NEEDED a tune up.When our vehicle made it back home, and we were doing our standard inspection on the oil and water my husband noticed that while the tune up had been done the final fine points had NOT been completed. My husband noted that our sparkplug wires had not been put back in their brackets (and one was setting so that it would eventually wear through) and and a part that had to be loosened or removed during the during the tune up had not been replaced and tightened down correctly.I have to wonder what would have happened if we had taken it to them for an oil change? 🤯NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK

Great Auto repair shop....came by to get free diagnosis but they were too booked and didnt have time but he was able to run out and listen to the noise my car was making and suggested it may be the water pump and he would have to remove the belt to be sure but didnt have time at the moment. So I went home, removed the belt and the noise went away. Replaced the water pump...problem solved. Thankyou!!! Highly recommended

Abe was able to see us on very short notice. He was realistic about how much time and money we should put into our very used car, and told us honestly when he thought the expense wasnt justified-- rather than talking us into spending more money. Simon and Sons really went above and beyond to provide quick and honest service at a good value. Highly recommend.

Questionable customer service, guy running the shop was disrespectful. Very little transparency on price, i asked him very simple questions to understand whether or not i should leave my car and he was very dodgy on anything relating to price.I dont trust mechanics who cant be transparent on a simple price range for a basic tune up. Wouldnt recommend.

I bought a real lemon from Copart (beware of that place and their auto inspection service), and brought it to Simon and Sons. The issue needs a dealer to fix, but Abe was honest and professional, and gave me good advice on what to do next. And didnt charge me for the bad news. Would recommend this place highly.

Abe is a great guy. Has professionals and knows what he is doing. Busy sometimes but if it wasnt then i would be worried.

I had a 10/10 experience at Simon & Sons. My car’s radiator fan went out and the Ford dealer wanted to charge me $130 just to get the problem checked out. Instead, I took my car here and Abe had no reservations taking a look under the hood as soon as I got there, and within 5 minutes told me what the problem was. He then told me to bring the car in the next day and he’ll take care of it all- in about a day my car was up and running again and he charged me a very, very fair price for the labor. These guys are honest and hard working, two things that are difficult to find. I would bring my car back here with no hesitation.

This is a great shop if you want honesty go here watch out for all the other shops in Phoenix theyll let you give them a rating then they start ripping you off this guys not that way great people here

They did not notice that my car was out of coolant! I went on a family road trip and my car overheated and broke down in the middle of the night. It was so stressful and totally could have been prevented if they did their job! Checking for coolant is absolutely one of the first things they check in an inspection. These guys had amazingly cheap deals for tires, which I why I went to them. Definitely not worth it!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Simon and Sons today. Abe was amazing! My vehicle was towed in and fixed the same day. The pricing was very fair, and the service was very fast. My father was a mechanic and maintained all of the family vehicles, unfortunately he no longer can. I know the value of a good honest mechanic. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Camelback Ford quoted me $800 dollars for a part that wasnt covered under my warranty. I brought my car here and they found the issue had nothing to do with what the dealership told me, and I was out the door with working air conditioning for $170 bucks. Honest mechanic, I highly recommend.

I recently got a what i THOUGHT would be a simple oil change. On Monday Nov29th around 5:50pm to be exact i paid $35 and by Saturday Dec3rd around 7pm i was getting an alert on my dashboard stating LOW OIL PRESSURE.That was UNBELIEVABLE due to me just getting my OIL CHANGED NOT EVEN A WEEK PRIOR Smoke was coming from under the hood and the ENGINE STALLED in the middle of the street. I had a car full of 1st grade girls to head downtown to ice skate. A few good Samaritans pushed broken down VEHICLE OUT THE STREET. One checked my oil levels NO OIL WAS IN THE ENGINE. On the scene i was advised the filter was put on improperly and that i may need a NEW ENGINE if it locked up. Im on the verge of tears I NEED MY VEHICLE. I PAID FOR a TOW and HAD TO MISS WORK. Due to the typical run around. The OWNER Abe or Able advised that the SEAL on the engine had CRACKED due to common manufacturing issues with Buicks. The OWNER became very defensive and argumentative when I a repeat customer mentioned what i was told about the oil filter being put on improperly or something was not tightened back after the job. HIS EXACT WORDS WERE THE PRESSURE FROM THE NEW OIL COULD HAVE CAUSED THE SEAL TO CRACK so this is very NEGLIGENT on the side of Simon and sons. The WORK WAS NOT CHECKED OVER NOR INSPECTED before i was handed back MY KEYS AND TO DRIVE OFF. Now due to THE RUSH JOB OF SIMON AND SONS I being a single mother of 3 young children HAVE MISSED SEVERAL DAYS OF WORK, right in the mist of the holiday season. And now i need to BUY A NEW ENGINE. The average price is about$2500. All from a oil job from the EMPLOYEES AT SIMON AND SON being CARELESS and in a RUSH. They didnt even put my oil change sticker on the inside of my windshield. And the GENERAL ATTITUDE i was given was a it SUCKS TO BE YOU. They didnt even offer to REFUND for $35 or offer a loaner car. TERRIBLE WAY TO TREAT A REPEAT CUSTOMER!
