Horrible owner and stay away from Paul Montano. Purchased a $6000 3cm translucent glass countertop for my island in my kitchen and it has chipped corners from shipment, there are surface defects (probably a clearance items and he charged me top dollar) and Paul has done nothing to make this right after phone calls, emails, sending photos of the defective product to Paul Montano. He ordered the wrong Size LED pad lighting for my kitchen and he never made that right either. I was out $2200. He took 22-23 weeks to deliver doors and windows. Some of the doors did not have the right handles and he did nothing to make that right. Some of the windows and doors delivered scratches, dings and dents and he did nothing to make that right. Must of the windows and doors were not the right size and I had to spend thousands of dollars to have pretty much all the openings in the house reframed costing me thousands of dollars. Paul blames everyone else and never takes any responsibility for the products he sells that is defective. I filed a lawsuit and the day I filed a lawsuit he filed some nonsense harassment claim on me and I had not had any contact with Paul in months. Paul cost me thousands in legal fees to get harassment claim dismissed and dropped where he was a no-show in court. I paid him $40,000 upfront and all he did was screw me over with lies, delays and a lot things that cost me additional $10,000 to get them to work halfway decent. The locks and handles on the doors do not work correctly. I had two LED mirrors that have missing mounting brackets and he never made that right. He steals from Peter to pay Paul, himself. I have a court ordered judgment and he is yet to pay a dime. He works all the angles and dodges the system of being a honest and fair businessman. The list goes on and I say one more time to anyone doing business with Paul Montano, Southwest Building Products, Matadoor, all his related Companies, LLC’s. Dishonest and most of the things delivered was broken or defective in some way shape or form. Ugh, a nightmare experience.
