Tried to order a fresh ham - bone in shank end for New Years. 1st Try: Visited the store in person 1 week before pickup to order. 2nd Try: Called on Saturday to confirm order - order was missing and I restated the order. Received a call back a few minutes later and restated order again. 3rd Try: Visited the store late afternoon for scheduled order pickup. Order was not ready and they tried to sell me a separate shank.Honestly, this is a butcher and ordering a fresh ham shouldnt be this hard.

If there is a better butcher in the valley, Id sure like to know where it is. Would be hard to top this place. There is literally nothing they could improve upon. Everything is of the highest quality, selection is always impressive, staff is always extremely helpful, other businesses should really take some notes. Ive been doing full carnivore lately and this is my spot for the real deal grass-fed, grass-finished stuff. Love the duck eggs too when they have them in. They blow chicken eggs outta the water.

Disclaimer: My father owned and ran a gourmet meat shop for over 25 years. This girl knows her meat. That said, the standing rib roast I ordered for Christmas, aged 45 days, was by far the worst prime rib I have ever served. Tough, flavorless, juiceless; 1/4 of it was completely inedible. The meat was like shoe leather. I have served prime rib for over 20 years at Christmas; even my eldest son said it was the worst we ever had. Additionally, although I ordered my roast two weeks before and gave a pick up date, the order was not ready when I arrived and I had to spend 45 minutes in line plus another 10 minutes while they wrapped it. I had not planned on spending that much time and it really screwed up my day. I appreciate the local, grass fed and sustainable thing, but I am not willing to give up flavor and tenderness for PC culture, especially at the price I paid. And honestly, who cares if it is grass fed if it is almost inedible? Talk about catering to the 1%; although I am sure all the people in line felt very good about themselves, supporting all the buzz words, while paying prices only rich people can afford. AJs still has the best meat I have purchased locally, but I will keep looking.

We pre-ordered a dry aged, prime rib roast for Christmas. Waited in line for 45 minutes to pick it up (as did everyone else in line). Thought to myself, wow, this place must be amazing if so many people are willing to spend so much time waiting for pre-ordered pickups. The pickup process was terrible. Once I finally got inside the transaction took 45 seconds...figure something better out for next time. That aside, my family and I are new to the area and this place came very highly recommended, which is why we drove out here from Surprise. The roast was inedible, as it was the toughest piece of meat Ive ever come across. The antithesis of what dry aged and prime are supposed to mean. Needless to say, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone for both their meat pick up process and quality of product.

Great selection if youre after pork or beef. Prices are going to be higher than the chain grocery stores but youre buying local and you have a clear history of the protein. Youre also buying a higher quality that is apparent when you look at the product. Its time to step away from corporate chains and keep the money in the local communities rather than in some corporate account out of state or a CEOs bank account.

Ive been here about 5 or 6 times since September. I discovered it while trying to find dry aged ribeye steaks for a birthday celebration and I did not want to order them online. The steaks, and everything really, are of exceptional quality and flavor. I love that I can ask for an unusual cut and they know what Im wanting. I usually have to explain it to the supermarket butchers. They have a guy there that makes the hands down best pate en croute I have ever eaten. My only (tiny) complaint is that I find some of the sausages to be on the leaner side, and they can overcook quickly if youre not on top of the timing. Expensive? It can absolutely be. But damn, you get what you pay for there; youre eating cleaner and smarter, youre supporting humane practices, and youre supporting local purveyors. They could not be more wonderful to deal with.

Everyone is super friendly which goes a long way with me.

Ive been here once. The pork tenderloin and lamb shoulder I purchased were both incredible, maybe the best Ive had. Very clear that these are non industrialized meats that are from cleanly raised animals. Very clean and well kept in the store. After brief research around for other butchers, I dont think Id want to go anywhere else.

I will definitely be returning.

I love that they sell bone broth! I used to go through the labor of making it myself. It’s not that difficult but it takes forever to make a good quality broth. Arcadia Meat Market has an exceptional gelatinous quality option. Not far from my place in Arcadia lite. A great alternative to grocery stores for good quality beef. We could use some good meat around here.

Hate factory farming? Hate feedlots, and robot dairy farms? Dont go Veg, eat meat from here with less guilt. These guys buy meat from small family farmers who treat their livestock like members of the family, except for the part about eating them eventually...Anyway. Seriously good meat, seriously good craft beer, wine, sausages are to die for, and super cool friendly dudes behind the counter. Sure its pricey, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Awesome place!

Very excited about the local wildflower honey, local dill pickles, beef bone broth, chicken bone broth amongst others. This is a butcher shop and more!!! Met Dustin the butcher who is knowledgeable, kind, courteous! Let us all support this local gem! The only issue I have that they need a bigger n bolder sign!

The employee is very unpleasant. We stopped at 6 pm on 12/30/2019, the employee was on the phone, did not greet us, we had to greet him first. As we were looking at the small selection of meat, he went back and started to wash some meat in the back of the store. REALLY? Terrible customer service. We left without buying the Picanha, which is not cheap, the place is very overpriced, with meat costing $37 a pound, at least the customer service should be excellent to make up for the high price. We will never return.

Wow, wow, wow. Perfection. I happened to catch the grass-fed butcher sign as I was driving past this place on 40th & Indian School, made a note to myself to stop by and couldnt have been more pleased with what I found. I will 100% be coming back for things like lamb liver, bone broth, microgreens, wine, etc.. and soon, a half of a cow for the freezer! Keep up the amazing work, yall have set the bar quite high 👌

If you thought Sprouts and Whole Foods is expensive then you were wrong! The meat is not worth it! Spent almost $20 for 3 pieces of chicken breast and it’s not any better than the meat from Sprouts. At Sprouts I would have spent half of that. Rude employees and very expensive product that is not worth it the money! Then I went to a Mexican butcher shop and paid $5 for the whole chicken and it looks more real than the meat bought from here!
