Its a sports store. I look at this store as a hit or miss. They have a ton of merchandise squeezed into the store. I was looking for another pair of walking shoes.I have gotten a great deal a couple of times but have walked out more times. I believe all their foot products, shoes and or athletic, sneakers, are closeouts from manufacturers or distributors.The employees have always been polite and helpful when I have asked questions.A good place to go to just look around and maybe find what you are looking for. I did see tons and tons of socks.

Love big 5, used to work there and whether its workout gear or other items, they tend to have it.

This Particular Location Has The Worst Customer Service!And it is not just a one time thing. For the past 2yrs its the Same Thing!If you need help with something you have to walk to the front of the store, And like Magic you will find 3 employees standing there Talking!!So today I went in, and I needed help with shoes.And like always, NO SERVICE!I waited & waited. NO one came to help. So I made it a point to stand there and Look their way.We made eye contact several times. They knew I was there. They knew I needed help with shoes. Yet NO one came to help. So, about 15 minutes later, one employee started walking my way. Im thinking Finally!!But, Before reaching me. He cut to the Back. Travelled through the back, To Pass Me!!! He came out futher down and asked another customer if he needed any help finding anything!! WHAT he wasnt even waiting for Service/Help! He was looking around. Needless to say, I walked out.!!And as I was walking out the other 2 so called employees are still there Talking. And for their amusement, they say Have A Nice Day!Knowing They intentionally ignored me & I was frustrated!I Will Never Come to This Location Again!

I like this store but when I went in there the customer service was really bad I could not find anybody to help me in the back and I guess I had to go all the way back up to the front and find somebody and yeah when I did there was two behind the counter just talking. But one thing they did when I left they said have a good day so I gave him three stars. Normally this place is 4 to 5 Stars it was just a bad day I think or I hope. If you read these yes we do like to have help thank you!

Went in just to LOOK at a couple of shot guns on display. Waited 10 minutes for one of the 3 people working at the register-just BSing more like it. I asked to look at one of the shot guns, the guy says he needs to get the manager-he tells her and then presto, she hides in the back. More waiting ensued, no manager until we were leaving. She re-appears like magic. Maybe it was the color of my skin?All three sure hopped to it when a white customer came in with an issue about an air rifle.Had planned to purchase other items, but no longer coming back to this store. Bad customer service, if youre a certain skin color.

While the inside of the business is nice and clean the outside looks horable in dire need of painting and a spruce up, along with the parking lot but despite those issues the staff are always nice and polite well stocked selves with quality items and shoes. This why I give it a 4 star rating .

Its a smaller store but still pretty decent. I can say, that if you have the time to go through the shoe clearance area, its worth it!!

Called ahead specifically looking for an external frame backpack.I drove all the way here from lake pleasant where I live, they didnt have any external frame backpacks, the employees didnt seem to have any idea whether or not they usually had this item, and they absolutely could not have cared less. I wont come back! Thats for sure. You only get to waste my time once.

The store and the staff are great. Unfortunately it is in drug central. The police in the are need to get the tweakers off the streets and out of Big 5. The guy in front of me bought 5 pairs of the same $100 shoes, in ripped jeans and a wife beater tank,,could not stop moving in hyper mode and loaded them into his uhaul to go to Utah. Tweaking. But, staff us great and the store is better than in the mall.

They have a clearance section for their shoes. I wear a larger size and almost always can find shoes or boots that actually fit at a discounted price. Also, they carry pretty large sizes (15) that my son wears and the prices are reasonable. The female cashiers are very personable and are very helpful when Ive needed something tracked down.

Sales are best at the 19th Ave. and W. Bell road location because they carry a larger stock than most of the stores. We get kids shoes, work boots, tennis shoes, cleats, hiking boots & shoes at great prices. End of year clearance for great deals are in July and August. We just got work boots, insoles, and boys Nike cleats for about $50 total this month.

Had to go here for the 1st time in years. Hooked my son up with all the soccer gear. Cleats, shin guards, socks, and the ball. In and out in half an hour. I forgot how cool Big 5 was. They have ALL the sporting goods including pocket knives and sunglasses. Big selection of Under Armor as well.

10 minutes to buy three pair of shoes. Less than 70 for all three. Thank you shoe guru. Worked for my 12 year old son who is at size six which no one carries and I found some sandals too. 15 minutes including check out time. They were great.

The staff was extremely helpful. Selected five or six pairs of shoes 13 extra large wide and they found them in less than 5 minutes I was in and out of there when done awesome

Always find what I am looking for and it is so much easier to get in and out than a larger sports store. They usually have coupons of $10 off if you spend $30 so sign up because it is worth the savings.

Someone directed us to the back of the store for the soccer gear. We got back there and asked a guy back there for help with shoes and every time he grabbed a pair and brought it back, he ran off. Everytime we had to chase him down if the previous size was to small. He did not only wander off, he wandered off to play on his phone.

I called ahead to see if they had a high wind disc for Ultimate. He said they had one gray disc and held it at the register for me. Would have preferred any brand other than Wham-o and a different color, but it was helpful in a pinch.

Big 5 always has the deals. I went in for roller blades and gear for my son. I had to stop myself from buying way too many things. Ill be back in a couple weeks.

Prices on boots & shoes are very reasonable for name brand and staff are quite friendly. But go elsewhere to buy socks. You can buy the shoes cheaper than a lousy pair of socks.

Good selection but the manager made me feel cheap. I had spent about 200 bucks but bought a left hand throw glove so I came in a exchanged it. I got the right glove but it for my son a little small so I took it back and he made a comment like wow this is like the third time exchanging this. Well I decided to return it and I havent worn the boots for work yet and Im tempted return those as well. The belt, batting gloves, and my daughters glove were already used once and theyre ok. But great selectn rude and disrespectful manager.
