I recently went into OfficeMax to have some documents shred and found that all of the shredding bins are lined up outside of the Copy and Printing area and there is a large sign posted that advises customers of the new shredding procedure due to the pandemic. The sign clears states that customers are to weigh their shredding, place papers in the bin, and then go to checkout and let the associate know the weight of how much you placed in the bin. I carefully read the sign and then followed the instructions. After I had weighed my bags and started to put my papers in the bin, an associate looked over the Copy and Print counter and asked if I needed help. I said, No, Im just putting my shredding in the bin. Thanks. She said, Did someone help you? I said, No, the sign says to weigh it and then put it in the bin. She snapped, Youre supposed to have an associate confirm the weight on the scale before you do that. I said, Oh, sorry. I was just following the directions and I did weigh it beforehand. She glared and turned around. Once I was done, I went to the Copy and Print register and said, Im sorry, I didnt realize I was supposed to ask for help first, I was just following the directions. You might want to mention to someone that they should change the sign if customers are supposed to check in before they put papers in the bin. She just looked at me and so I told her the weight of my two bags of papers. She snapped, Both of them? I responded with the individual weights of each bag and confirmed that the total was those two weights added together. She told me my total, I paid and then she watched me as I walked through the store. I was careful to read the sign and follow the directions and she treated me as if I was doing something terribly wrong. Ill be going out of my way not to shop at this store again.

Came to print. Employee didnt want to help and Directed to self service. Ok, but no paper in stock. Guys stock up please. Regular print can made at home. There is a reason that people come to you.

Just walked in to the store to print one piece of paper. Female Employee in a yellow mask decides instead of greeting to say “hey,hey,hey we’re waiting for that machine to load.” Please advise your employees how to have better customer service, minimum wage or not, nobody deserves to be treated that way

Jason D. - Works in the stores in doing everything... from Stocking, Tech, sales, etc... He helped me with a printer. During the pandemic, certain products are just harder to get. In this are printers and lapstops! Who would have guessed!Well, Jason D. was kind, courteous, and did everything possible to help and is an excellent representative of that store. I work for myself from my home office. Next time I need a presentation folder (I go thru 50+ a month) specialized cream-tone legal-size paper, heck, a paper clip, I tend to go where theyre helpful and appreciate my business. Service means everything to me. Jason is the definition of great service.

Worst customer service ever! My husband is 74 I’m 67. We got help to get a brother laser printer. The young man behind the counter asked us to carry it and refused to get us additional ink. Look at your cameras! This store will be closed soon! No manager there to help us. When it was difficult to carry young girl yelled at me when my mask fell down. ? ?????? New girl days old at register.

Zack went out of his way to help me find what I needed. I could tell it was busy but Zack still took the time to help me and didn’t make me feel rushed. Super impressive customer care.

I went to OfficeMax after staples near my home was unable to help me with my print needs and your employees were very rude about it. I had called OfficeMax before heading down there in the woman in the print center was very polite and helpful. When I arrived she greeted me and walk me through the self-service print station. I wish I caught her name but she had really pretty long curly red hair. Thanks to her I was able to print my seven single page forms two copies each in a matter of minutes which Staples employee Jackie at the Tatum and Shea location rudely told me it was a lot of attachments and wasn’t sure if she was able to get it done today. Thanks to OfficeMax and they’re friendly staff in a matter of minutes I was out the door with my documents and very happy. I will take all my office needs to OfficeMax from now on. The employees are very friendly and happy and the store is able to take care of all your needs in a timely fashion! Thank you for the help to the lady at the print station.

Horrible customer service! Their printing services are a joke. They wanted to charge me extra to get my 16 pages printed in less than 7hours. Nope! There was no indication or communication that it would take so long. The lady I spoke to on the phone was rude. I had bad experience in the past. (They lost my order) but decided to give them another try. Well I wont be giving them another. They have completely lost my business.

The top shelves have empty file boxes; they are bar coded but not for sale You can buy a bundle starting at $30. The people there dont have any business savvy or talent for making a sale. I wanted to buy a box and package of file folders that were almost $8.00! Instead I put the folders back and OfficeMax dude took back the box. A smart manager would have done a misc sale for the file box and been happy to have a satisfied customer. That store has little foot traffic and must have really high overhead, they should try selling as much as they can while they can before Amazon eats what little they have left.

Worst customer service. The person behind counter sounded rude. Try to avoid this store.

I just had a great experience working with Office Max. Claude was super helpful, and another store manager also. Antonio is very friendly and personable at checkout. Wildly recommend...and love the chairs, I bought 17 manager chairs!

I was looking for new laptop computer. Sales person was friendly and knowledgeable. Offered some additional options to me, but was not pushy or persistent about it. I was comfortable and sayisfied with my visit.

Its an office supply store. Never crowded. Always clean. Good selection. Have bought ink, paper, school supplies, shredder, chairs, blank discs, etc. Nothing bad about it really.

Great service. Greeted as we came in and left. Helped us find exactly what we were looking for, walked us to the area and showed us what we were asking for.

Ally in the print shop was extremely efficient, and got me on my way very quickly. I might add that she was juggling 3 other customers at the same time.

I special ordered some pens and after going back to the store twice I was told the pens were still on back order. The representatives there didnt seem too concerned and offered little service. Ill have to rethink about using office Max again

OfficeMax, the place for all your office needs, but when you ask a associate for a Desk Blotter, and they show you a 2019 Calendar, whats up with that? If a OfficeMax associate doesnt know what a Desk Blotter is, then why are they working there? I dont blame the associate, but I do blame OfficeMax for not training their associates when they are hired.Anyway; OfficeMax did not have or carry a Desk Blotter which I really dont understand.

Theyre one of the bigger stores definitely good for asking questions whether it be Business Furniture to school supplies for kids to electronics to a new backpack to an online order with a store pickup to overturn they will definitely help you out and are more knowledgeable than those stores Ive seen and been to with their staff

When returning a notebook that I found unsatisfactory, the charming competent girl at the counter called for a mgr. Then came -----Dave-----. The first words out of Daves mouth were, I dont think we return those. Then he asked for a receipt. I told him didnt have it and that I only wanted to exchange the notebook for one more suitable. He was not interested in helping me at all. The closest thing he did to customer service was to hold his badge up so that I could see his name.I have been a long term customer of this store and have never been treated with such condescending disregard. I can buy office supplies from anywhere. Anywhere without a ----DAVE------.

Was in stock on sale items& staff was trained to actually answer questions without reading a label 13th to me.

Everybody was really nice there... The employees would ask if we needed anything and they made getting schools supplies way easier!♡

The print center is very helpful and has great service. Theyve spent extra time helping me make my projects look great and I would highly recommend.
