What A Great Man Store... Everything under One Roof!

This place was awesome that everything I needed and the staff very helpful.

Asked workers for advice on a tool prior to purchasing it from here. He assured me it did what I asked about. I got it back to my shop and immediately figured out it wasn’t the tool i described to them. Attempted to return it 15 minutes after purchase and they refused stating all tool sales are final. I explained to the manager what I asked his associates and he immediately spoke in circles saying it won’t do what I was asking but it was a hammer drill. After ridiculous back and forth with the manager about it being a hammer drill but stating it won’t do what I wanted I left frustrated with their lack of compassion and understanding.They were so matter of fact about my question I felt comfortable with the answer but in reality didn’t understand what I was asking. Then they refused to be understanding and compassionate when all they had to lose was putting a tool back on the shelf and selling it to the next person.I have always gone here when I needed a tool or electrical supplies cause it’s near my shop and not a national big brand. They demonstrated today why they don’t deserve my patronage and I hope they never do this to another person again. Buyer beware. If you don’t know explicitly about a tool do not trust them to bridge the gap.Edited to respond to business:I was fine with your response until you gave your “side” of the story. Your side of the story is completely false. Prior to purchase I was never told that it won’t do that and you could order the proper tool. Why would anyone be told this won’t do what you want but we can order what you need and purchase the tool? The attempt to save face is ridiculous. I think the worst part of this situation is your inability to listen to your customer and consider what they are saying to you. I would have eventually been understanding if the final verdict was all tool sales are final. The manner in which workers said things about the initial interaction that never occurred while standing their speaking with the manager and the way the manager just kept repeating himself based on the workers statements as if that was going to change my perspective was insulting and frustrating. Both of those things crept their way into your response. Highlighting that it’s the status quo.*Never used the tool. Pulled the trigger yes. Used the tool absolutely not. Exaggeration. The package was ripped open is another exaggeration. It was opened. Torn at the original taped spot. The idea that it could not have been taped up is asinine. I’m over this. Enjoy your 4.8 rating and just forget about my bad experience. Please don’t drag me back into this by responding.

This place has it all.Great customer service and a huge selection of quality, hard to find, goods.We looked high and low for a certain end mill, to no avail. They had it. Not only did they have it but the price was fair.

This hardware store is very convenient and has everything you could ask for. They have the high quality tools for a decent price. You can get hard to find items for any project. If you can’t find it here, they probably don’t make it. I initially found this store by one of there staff coming into my business and handing me a small flyer. Thank you for that because you’ve saved me so much time and money, being in walking distance. The staff here are all very knowledgeable on just about anything. Thanks, go check it out!

I just became a plumbers apprentice and wanted to get the basic hand tools I needed for my job. I never heard of this place until the other day. I like how they have price tiers. Maybe some people like fancy stuff. The service guy was more than helpful and get me everything I needed at a fair price. I use most of what I bought daily and has been holding up pretty well.

An organized store, staffed with experts, that has every screw, bolt, connector that you need. An incredible resource. Would drive an hour to get here vs. wandering around a big box store. Have been coming here for years.

WOW!Im hard to impress, but its hard for me to say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend visiting. Im eager to find an excuse to come here again.From tools, industrial chemicals, hardware, plumbing, electrical, spray paint, welding, and other supplies McFadden-Dale has it all.This place is like Disneyland for tradesmen.Im a senior manufacturing engineer in aerospace and the only other place I have seen some of these things was in my previous manufacturing companys tool crib. Think Ace Hardware but replace all of the pre-packaged commercial stuff with parts and industrial tools and supplies.Their website doesnt list what they have though so you need to just call them and ask them.I had gone through calling all sorts of local fastener suppliers (including fastenal and grainger) looking for a specific high grade metric bolt and this is the place that had it. They have 3 - 25 aisles with hardware bins from ceiling to floor on two sides.The prices were fair (slightly less or equal to big box stores).Unlike big box stores though the staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and available.They found what I was looking for on the phone and had it sitting at will call. When I arrived I had time to kill and was able to spend 3 hours with my jaw hanging open looking at things on each aisle. I found an arm-full of other things I needed but didnt expect to find.

They have a little of everything here. Probably shop here for work once every two weeks or so. Easy to find stuff inside. All the guys there are always asking if you need help with anything even the grouchy guy who cuts the rubber is helpful.

Not you average hardware store. Tons of specialty items. Once you are inside you get distracted by all of the goodies and forget what you came in for

This small building is amazingly deceiving. Inside rests one of the most dependable well rounded hardware stores Ive ever encountered. Ace hardware can take care of the average home owner working on a small project, but McFadden is for the heavy hitting blue collar elite. Their inventory has rarely let me down and the staff know the store complete and are always available. On average I probably visit them 1-2 a day. The resources they provide have made myself into a much more effective service tech.

Absolutely great store. They carry every specialty product that I could ever need. The downside is whenever I shop there (in company uniform, company card in hand)the employees treat you like a shoplifter before you put the product on the counter and pay.

Disneyland for builders. I dont know what Id do without this place. The guys are great too. Theyll help you find anything and are very knowledgeable. Ive spent hundreds of hours in there, and I still find new things all the time. If youre a builder, fabricator, handyman, etc., you NEED to spend an hour just walking up and down the aisles.

I usually have good service here but today I had a question about a 220 plug and the sales guy was a complete jerk. Attitude right off the bat. I was shocked. I guess my company will take our business elsewhere. I dont need to put up with attitude. If I treated my customers like that Id be out of business.

Great hardware store! They have nifty toggle switches, really nice flash lights and little gadgets along like every bolt and nut ever made.
