Processed a warranty exchange on the spot and sent me home with a new out of box light, MUCH easier than I ever would’ve expected.

Great help and the store has basically all you need if youre looking to start your own plant project. I would highly recommend them and the quality products they carry. I felt as though the staff was intentive and was able to help me with any questions i had. Not once have i gotten the feeling like I was getting something pushed on me. Big help from employee Misa. Its just a matter of time before I return.

Best hydro shop in Phoenix Ive been to so far. The customer service is hands-down top notch and professional. There was more inventory than any other place Id been to in Arizona and The prices were competitive with any online store. I will definitely be going back.

Stocker was super helpful and professional, answered questions, gave suggestions and helped guide me to a product to fit my needs. The checkout process was also easy and the prices were very fair.

This is the third hydroponic shop I have been to.By far the best shop I have been to, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to help me find a product for leaf hoppers. The other shops could not explain to me what the product they were trying to sell me should be used or what it will do. I was confident in buying products recommended to me by the staff. I just wish pricing was displayed on all the products for sale. I will be driving a little longer now to go to this hydro shop!

Went there with very little knowledge and Travis Assisted me as soon as I walked in was very knowledgeable and informational on everything I needed to get me set up so what I wanted to do. They have earned a faithful customer in me just because of that service as I will be referring everyone!

They were out of a few things I was looking for but the employees are very helpful and showed me some other options as well as loaded all my soil into the car. Great customer service pricing is much better than at sea of green hydro.

I used to spend almost 1k a month when this was hydroponic depot, they had great customer service and competitive pricing on products. Since they sold to the new corporation i have noticed a decline in customer service. They dont greet you or ask if you need help when you enter, the wait time to check out is longer even though it seems there are more people working, and when i exchanged a co2 tank the worker whose job it is to get the tank gave me an attitude after i asked nicely for a tank that had the same type of handle as the one i was exchanging. Poor customer service aside, the pricing has become ridiculous. First after it became the new corp store prices remained the same, but about 3 months after acquisition they have jacked up their pricing on everything about 20-50%. Soil that was 40$ is now 55$, co2 exchange that was 20$ is now 30$. When asked about it a rude indifinitive answer of well prices are set by corporate, was provided by the manager. Rude employees and poor customer service are annoyances but jacking up prices is a good enough reason to shop elsewhere.

TLDR: new ownership ruined the store. Price gouging and poor service.This used to be my go to hydro store when it was still hydro depot. I have been going here since hydro depot opened with perry and pat. I have spent over 250k at this store maybe even closer to 300k throughout my career. They used to make delivery to my spot for free and were always so caring. They would answer the phone in the middle of the night to help me out with emergencies and equipment failure.I had been out of town for about a year and came back to grow generations which is a corporate company out of Colorado. They switched up the whole inventory and dont carry much for brands and products anymore. The customer service is terrible. The store was just jam packed with commerical orders so you could barley even walk around. They dont honor my previous commerical discount that was set by the previous store and just refer back to prices being set by corporate. They couldnt even come close to the previous rates so I had to switch stores. Its crazy to think how much this corporation started skimming off the top.I would stay away from any grow generations. Find a store thats cares about your grows the way you do.

Walked in to No hello...nobody came to help out.I grabbed Fox farms nutes put them on counter and waited few minutes.Person at counter was talking to a customer and never looked at me and said:Someone is gonna be with you soon Sir...or anything.So I slowly walked out...took my money to a Peoria store.This is all new crew and a very different store and a Vibe...used to be a very friendly joint.There is no excuse there was only 2 customers in the store!

Drove across town because their hours are through 6. Get here and they are closed for inventory. This place closes at 6, so why not be smart and do it during your closed hours or on a short hour day. Or even update hours so it reflects that. Was a regular customer but not gonna be buying anything else because of this. Wasted my time.Nobody was answering phones and no info other than “closed for inventory” slapped on the door

2020 must have affected the staff. Either its the Covid or the fact they sold out to Big Corp they just havent treated me the same. In October everyone was so helpful. Last Friday it seemed like me being there asking questions was a bother. Do yourself a favor and find another shop.

Not what it used to be.. prices increased and they never have anything in stock now

So, went here for the first time(first grow shop Ive been in, everything Ive bought so far has been online) And dudes were real laid back, real helpful. I was waiting for horror stories about upselling&blahblahblah but they basically just let me do my thing. I originally went in for some Biobizz Algamic, but they only had 5L bottles that were very old which the guy told me he really doesnt even wanna sell to anyone, and recommended another Kelp based product. While I dont care much for the General Hydro/Organics company, I did buy the bottle for the same purpose, along with some Fish Sh!t, Co2, and some shears. All in all a really good experience. Will be returning if I need anything immediately, again.

I will never do business again with this company. The staff is rude, and discourteous. My son bought a lamp for $475. He subsequently passed away. I took the product back, intact, never opened by us. The customer service rep at the store ripped the box open, ran sacked the contents, then informed me there is a 20% restocking fee. This is no way to do business!

Love this place, as soon as I discovered this place 3 weeks ago, I’ve been coming back and forth... they have everything I need for my food forest as well as my pond supplies. They have all sizes of pots (plastic or fabric), differend kinds of fertilizers, worm castings, food for our plants and everything I need to make my garden happy!!! Highly recommended, best people to ask too!!! Boss is very knowledgeable!!!Will keep coming back.....

Sighs... This is in response to Carmen down below... Unfortunately this customers item was very small and slid off of our red SPO shelf and wasnt found until this afternoon. We attempted to extend him our cost on a comparable item but that wasnt good enough for him and all excuses aside, we hate to see our service slip. This guy loves to leave bad reviews... I mean a bad review to Burger King because you ate too many cheeseburgers and got a tummy ache? Come on bruh? We grown men around here and anybody who shops with us knows we do whatever it takes to satisfy our customers needs and would gladly give this item up for free to make up for it.We can confidently say we are the best game in town. The vendors know it, the other shops know it. This is where the real growers shop in Az so dont let a guy who seems to enjoy leaving bad reviews stop you from taking advantage of what we at Hydroponics Depot have to offer. We deal with volumes of people, and guy who spends a dollar is just as important as the big fish but if youre gonna spout like you spent a grip let me set the record straight. $538.11 in 14 months and hasnt been in our shop in over a year. We keep it real, we expect our customers to as well.All our bad comments stem from Disgruntled business owners or people that you just cant please in the first place. If given a chance to make it right, then this wouldnt have been another bad review like the Mcdonalds, Burger King, and KFC reviews. Maybe dude should start eating at Sprouts.

They are very knowledgable and helpful without high pressured sales tactics. My husband and I came in knowing only that we wanted to try hydroponics using a large tote bin. They were able to lead us in the right direction and Henry was there to answer questions and provide recommendations when we needed it. We came home feeling much more confident about starting our new hydroponic garden.

Looking at these reviews made me want to leave one, these guys have always been super friendly and helpful. Have never even seen a hint of rudeness.. They have good info, good knowledge, and they have generally very good prices compared to other places Ive been to around town. These 1 star people obviously have issues because my several experiences here have been nothing short of great.

Bought some Ona spray, it works phenomenal in my house and car. The young lady at the front desk was helpful in direction me in which product would produce better results.God bless

Wow couldnt ask for a better place for first and foremost customer service, educating, product with awesome prices. My husband built me a awesome hydro grow and after a few failures went to a source personally. After looking around our area Hydroplonic Depot came up and was close to our home. We rolled in was greeted immediately by Collin smiling and believe me when he asked if we had questions and we said Ohhhh yaaa we do, he was so eager and had lots of knowledge. Went over everything start to finish and he than went to ask Henry for a little help and BAM we are full of amazing knowledge, product, tools and a new favorite store. Thanks Henry and Collin be back soon for phase 2.

I walked in here knowing ZERO and the guys tag team taught me a lot. I had a basic understanding of what Im looking for and they found me a few better, smarter, faster and much less expensive ways to get my setup going. Its been 3 weeks and its going gangbusters. Im happy I listend and followed their advice. Its good to have a local shop that does this and does this well, so much better than youtube and hope.

I go to metro hydro depot all the time and they are always great. Descent prices to begin with, consistent with in-store prices but for the supplies i need all the time they are awesome. Make sure you hit this place regularly for those things that you need for your grow and you will no doubt see those manager deals you seek.

Not going back. When we went in to buy pots and soil they advised with the pots we were buying that it was going to be 2 pots will take about one bag worth of soil. Needles to say we bought 80 pots and so we need 45 bags of soil right? Wrong, we bought it and have 14 bags left over, in an air conditioned facility. We called to ask about returning the left over bags or at least some as we wont have a use for this much left over soil... They advised that due to the temperature outside (not relevant as we have kept the bags inside in 75 degrees) but that we should have returned then within that week.... We didnt even start on it until last week so we didnt know until we were finished getting everything ready this week. The manager wouldnt budge after we spent over 800! After speaking with another store who advised the fact that they blamed the temperature was ridiculous seeing how it could be stored outside and trucked over in heat before even getting to the store... So to have another store give their opinion that hydronics depot is being petty about the situation they kind of got us suck in due to their employee giving the wrong information I am Never coming here again. Super disappointed.

Seriously good shop. Went to the front counter and asked for help and was greeted immediatley and helped out. The guy who helped me was new and from Colorado, I forget his name but he helped me alot with desert condition growing and lighting. You guys got a new customer in Phoenix. Oh yeah and the dude carried my soil and rock wool out for me ... dont waste your time elsewhere in phoenix.

Ive tried all the other hydro shops in the valley and always left feeling ripped off and taken advantage of. Not here. These guys will beat any price around and give you the time to explain In depth there products and have the knowledge needed for all ranges of gardening.

Didn’t think it was worth posting a negative review about my experience here till I noticed the owner actually had the audacity to discredit another reviewer about their bad experience.I walked into this place, was never greeted; but instead followed around the store. An acquaintance of an employee walked in, it wasn’t till then I had a question about some material. Employee seemed upset I was interrupting his little pow wow, was very short with his answer, and zero help. Price checked at Home Depot and Lowe’s, significantly cheaper.
