Company does not care about employees, as you can tell in one of my pictures the mill area is always full of smoke from inconel and stainless steel jobs that we use only cutting oil in the machines, several employees have already complained but never makes is beyond our department. Most long term employees are fat, smoke cigarettes and are clearly in a health decline. Machine vapor collectors are affordable and effective for a company that’s is pulling in 4-5 million dollars a month.
If you want to BREATHE IN DIRTY CHEMICALS...As someone else said in their review, cassavant does not have mist collectors on every machine, and the air is often HAZY with a cloud of dirty oil and coolant which is never changed out. For a company that makes 7 million a month, youll stand in front of a machine that is spraying the mist out, right into your lungs. This place puts their profit FAR above your health. Started me at 24 per hour. Wouldnt do it for 40. There are many things they do which shows they dont care, and HR (CARRIE) especially does NOOOOOT CARE AT ALL!!! The health insurance plans are very low standard and expensive. Please never work here until they change. Be prepared to have a random medical issue pop up from working at this job.
I am the son and operations manager of a Mom and POP IT Company here locally in phoenix.Recently this business purchased Another Aerospace machining company who had been one of our long standing customers, after agreeing to continue services for Cassavant since august, this business now owes our company $17,000 in serviced IT work and refuses to even return our call/emails. We are Mom and Pop IT company who has serviced the phoenix area for the last 9 years with a reputation of always looking out for our customers. This has had a huge impact on my families business financially and is totally disheartening considering we work graciously and tirelessly to provide for all of our customer in the most effective and cost efficient way possible. We have well over 120+ man hours logged at their site and they even signed the work orders stating what had been done. During a time like this too? Unbelievable, I would be skeptical of doing any kind of business with this company...
Spent few months with Cassavant Machining, and its just an extraordinary place to work for, the best aerospace company in the valley that Ive ever worked for, I am looking forward to grow and learn more with Cassavant, also Cassavant is one of fewer companies thats been hiring through the difficult times of COVID-19.
Absolutely the worst run business ever. HR lady (Carrie) is never at her desk, never does anything, except put the blame on everyone else... Never responds to multiple voicemails. If there is ever a deadline for an outside company to get information from Cassavant (Unemployment, Short-term disability, Department of Economic Security, etc) you will need to file for MULTIPLE extensions if you can.Asking for a simple termination letter of when someone stopped working there, Carrie mentioned the company needs to go through a portal and send a request - simple phone calls, and multiple voicemails from companies, as well as myself just go ignored. My suggestion for Cassavant, train your office staff to stop covering up for Carrie, and stop covering for the entire company as a whole. Carrie definitely needs trained in HR as there is no way she is qualified legally to do so.So in closing, if you are a type of person that could EVER possibly need an HR person to assist with ANYTHING, then this IS NOT the job for you. You would get better assistance from anybody else... I was going to say somewhere like McDonalds, but that would be an insult to McDonalds.Totally mismanaged company.
An amazing, and rewarding business to work for. Well organized, well run, and a management team that really cares about there employees, and shows it. Their reputation speakes for its self. Honeywells recipient of the #1 Engineering Team of 2019 award! I am beyond proud to be an employee of Cassavant Machining!
Its a great place to work. Monthly catering, free soda fountain. Free online training through Tooling-U. And if you are a go-getter they promote from within. Ive worked for some pretty bad machine shops in the valley and this is definitely not one of them.
Had the opportunity to tour the factories and it is truly an incredible operation!
They don’t have a unloading dockNo wondering why reviews is bad.(Tommy Armstrong) the forklifting driver you have no idea how’s FTL & LTL work and you need more experience in this industry, please clean your self cause you stink.FTL driver is not responsible for unloading the truck or tailgate the products plus driver don’t have to have a pallet jack. The LTL carrier do load unload the products.
Great company to work for and I love my job !!
They hire Deburr leads with absolutely no clue to what they are doing. The blind leading the blind...
I have never worked for a company where they dont care about their employees. I was promoted a couple of times and never received a thank you or a raise in pay. The politics of this place are ruthless only care about upper management while the rest are the bottom of the barrel. If you are looking to work in a machine shop I suggest you cross this one of your list.
