While traveling through Phoenix on a recent night, I had a mishap with my travel trailers step that prevented me from continuing my trip to Cottonwood safely. Within a block I saw their street sign and did a search online hoping they could help the next morning. After speaking with an office employee, they introduced me Donald to possibly resolve my predicament. He was friendly, very helpful and allowed me to resume my travel without delay. I truly appreciated their exceptional assistance in a stressful situation!

Customer service is the worst. Last hand full of times I’ve been in there it’s been a headache.Called 24 hours ahead of time to place my order, gentlemen said the 4 different types of material I needed was in stock and would be ready. Next day I show up to pick up my delivery and guess what? One of the 4 items I needed they don’t carry in stock anymore and didn’t tell me. another one was the wrong wall thickness, which isn’t a big deal but still.I get everything figured out with the yard guy I was talking to and go back up to the front and said, this is what I need and figure out the difference I’ll come back and pay it and pick up my order.When I returned about 45 mins later the paper work is all fixed and paid the balance and go to yard and talk to a different gentleman and guess what again? NOTHING WAS PULLED STILL!!!Sitting there waiting finally my order gets loaded and the gentleman goes hey you know you order was already cut and put aside yesterday. Went and looked at it and of course it was incorrect.

Pick up all my steel supplys for the last almost 15 years.. great staff always have what I need and if not will go out of there way to get it for me. Thanks guys

I am one of the owners of Advanced Metal Sales and we understand that our sales office has had some customer service issues in the past, and we have taken steps to correct that problem. we have added two new sales people inside and have had nothing but complements on how they are doing. Pat has been with us from almost day one and there are many customers that always ask for Pat. please except our apologies for any problems you may have had in the past. all we can ask is give us another chance now and you will leave with a different outcome from what you have experienced in the past.

I am new to metal work and welding and I was looking for a place to buy some steel for some projects I had in mind. Despite some of the negative reviews I went to Advance Metal Sales to get some steel. As their ad states this is Arizona’s Most Diverse Steel Center, a very large outdoor steel yard. They do not have a showroom, just a trailer that serves as the office. Entering the office, they were very busy, and yes, the salesman are sitting at their desk filling orders for both customers that were in line and on the phone. Unlike the big box stores they are not robotically trained to yell hello at you when you come in and then just ignore you. Standing there listening to some of the orders that were being processed I realized I had no idea what for the most part they were talking about. The process went quickly and those in line were served as first come first served and now it was my turn. Pat was my salesman and I explained to him what projects I had in mind. He looked at the list of materials I had written down and then went on to explain a different way to buy the materials I needed and SAVED ME MONEY!!! He not only took the time to tell me what materials I needed but offered advice on what to use. This attention was given to me even though many of the individuals that were in line had orders much larger than mine. He then took the time to explain how the process works and where to pick up my order (some steel had to be special cut). The workers in the yard were very courteous and professional and I left there with the materials I needed and a price considerably lower than what I expected. I want to thank Pat and the workers in the yard for their fantastic service. I will continue to go there and would recommend the yard to anyone regardless if you a new to working with steel or a seasoned veteran.

If its metal, they can fab it up. Great people, great business.

Guys lied to me about pricing on the phone and product availability had my guy drive all the way over there just to find out they didnt have the cheaper scraps like they thought and a full sheets were more expensive than I was told. Same stuff is available online with free shipping at 25% cheaper look around better places out there.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. I called and had my order placed on will call about 6 hours before I needed it. When I came to pick it up no one could find it. Most of the inside sales people were either rude or indifferent. One of them finally showed some interest and told me to come back the next morning and he would be sure my order was ready. I spent approximately an hour there and left empty handed. When I went back the next morning they did have it ready. I wont be back.

Great access to metal supplies. Their front counter help is lacking a lot in customer service. Go in with low expectations on front counter help but, great expectations in product. The yard folks are great to work with though!

All around good guys. Willing to take me into the yard and educate me about the materials and make great suggestions that have helped me make money! What more could I ask for!!! Some people gripe about service. Thats never been an issue for me.

Advanced Metal Sales has always given me top notch customer service and expertise. I have used them for several years and have not had a single problem. In fact, they often go out of their way to make sure my project went well.

Was told the job was going to take a day I ordered it to be done I called the next day at the same time I dropped it off was told that I would get a call right back I never got a call back so I drove all the way up there expecting my job to be done like I was told and was treated like I was bothering them because they were closing and want to go home I told him to cancel my order and he said but its already been worked at how do you know if it worked out if you didnt know nothing about the order . I definitely wont be giving this place my business anymore been going there for years to have my gas tanks filled up but now I have them do a real job and their customer service falls right to the floor

I think these guys are awesome. If you you walk in with a great attitude expect great customer service. They always help me out and are a good bunch of people.

If you like being ignored until the employees are uncomfortable enough to acknowledge your existence, this is your place. If you like to be told the common product you want does not exist, also your place. Google steel tube 1.315. You will see dozens of listings for a product that according to these jokers doesnt exist.

I only purchase from AMS hands down the best in the valley. Next day delivery for a price you can’t beat.

3 stars for the selection and decent prices. If you go here, dont expect friendly faces or any type of good customer service experience. They arent looking to help you much, theyre more just looking forward to you leaving.However, if you know what you need, youll be ok getting it here.Lastly, their cutting service is not about precision. If you ask for your stock to be 6ft, expect anything from 511 to over 61. Youre going to need a way to size your stuff at home.

They doubled up on my quote and added some stuff i did mnbn t even ask for...smh they used to be great i dont know if it was just this one time but ill try em one more tome and l wer t yall know

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have metal products no one else in town has. Prices are very fair and they stock most things I need

Horrible experience, the staff here are more concerned about who does what then helping a customer. I also had an issue with a return and wasnt properly compensated. It seems they just want your money and arent concerned with customer service. I wouldnt recommend to anyone. I will go elsewhere for all my metal needs-Jim

I was extremely displeased with the service at Advanced Metal Sales. I had waited over 20 minutes to get my one piece of steel cut, all while 2 of the employees constantly bickered about their workload and how one employee did more than the other. I was left in an unorganized line still waiting for my metal to be cut,finally after 25 minutes of waiting in disorganized chaos I mentioned to one of the employees that I would like a refund, that I was displeased with the service, He started to laugh/smirk and mumbled Good luck or something to that effect. I was aghast and stormed off without my metal or even bother going back in the office to receive my refund. Later I called in to explain my story to the owner or manager he said he would look into it. The next day he called and determined he wouldnt issue me a refund claiming he didnt know if I had taken the metal or not. Guess they thought I was trying to scam them, in reality I didnt receive my steel or a refund. :(Overall very dissatisfied and would not go here again or refer anyone here.

Poor customer service. Good price on remnant section for steel, but horrible customer service. Everyone had an attitude and acted like I was interrupting.
