Love this store! Huge selection of any level music for any instrument. They also have a great supply of basic band supplies. Ive never bouught my band reeds and mouthpieces anywhere else!

What a quaint place! Its a small store that reminds me of late nights in college spent on music theory and escaping exams through composition. The store is well kept and very comfortable. I was also very impressed with the employee (owner?). He was attentive and so very helpful when I couldnt find the right gift. I was able to find what I wanted after he helped and then some. Ill be back for quite a few more purchases after this!

CentralMusic purchase policy of NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS: bought a gig bag/very nice. Also bought, and am now stuck with, Kremona KNG classical guitar pickup: rubber on the plug end is brittle/cracking. I tape-wrapped it BECAUSE NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. However, I do apologize to you, Central Music, because I should have examined that pickup, should have said rubber boot has breaks or something to that effect. But I bought it the day before my wifes funeral service where I was scheduled to play for a bit. So, I was a little pressed for time, grieving My Beautiful Wifes passing, not thinking before I posted my comments about Central Music. So, I am sorry if I sounded rude, because thats not who I am. On the bright side, your shop was open, item was available, product does work, and I wish I could read music better because you have lots of sheet music available and other gear for sale.

You also have a great selection of various instruments. This store is also great for gift giving as they are stocked with gifts from $3+ and for any age.

This is a really nice music store. If youre looking for quality literature to play this is the place to go. The store is well organized and its very easy to find what youre looking for. You can also just browse if thats what you prefer. They have shelves and shelves of music for all instruments, voices, and ensembles. They also have various things for guitars and singing like strings and what youd expect from most music stores. I also saw things for orchestra players and those who play in the concert band setting like reeds and mouthpieces. The store is small, but they have just about all you could need.

Central Music is a Phoenix treasure. You can buy all kinds of music there. I am a piano teacher, so I particularly appreciate the variety of method books and classical piano music, as well pop and contemporary music. Dont be misled by its small size. They pack a lot of music in there because its so well organized. But its crowning jewels are Roy and Preston who have 65+ years (combined) of work experience there. In this age of online shopping, it is so refreshing to enjoy the luxury of old-fashioned, quality retail service. If you are looking for something, just ask Roy or Preston. They are amazing. (Roy is like the Google of music!)

I love this store! I was able to get my sons last minute request for his viola book 2 for school here. None of the other stores had it. They had book one but not 2? Amazon couldnt even ship it out for at least a week. Its a great store to look around, its a treasure in central Phx!!

The first time I ever visited this place, I expected it to be a lot bigger and flashier. That was back in 2010. Up until 2012 I kept visiting every other musician shop, and have always found myself back at this place. Frankly, I am a loyal customer to this shop. They are the only shop in Phoenix that carries SIT strings (preferred) and I love that they allow the opportunity to stock up on certain string sizes, build your own set, or buy single strings. The employees dont hassle you to make a sale, and the equipment is always packed up nicely and clean, unlike other stores. Now Ill say it again, I expected this store to be a lot bigger and flashier, but as Ive grown as a musician Ive learned this store is the best, because everything is essential musician equipment, and it worked for me 100%. Dont buy into big name music stores that hire people to only make sales, go to this shop, and see how knowledgeable their employees are, they practically helped me fine tune every aspect of my instrument, sound, and music theory. They are the best, period.

Give your music business to this locally owned, long established shop. They have a little bit of everything. I called them to see what they had in stock for violin cases. They had the perfect item for less than online. I was able to see it before I bought it!

They guys in there were super helpful and tuned my violin in just a couple minutes. The store is cool and I feel like I could spend a lot of time there but we were in a bit of a hurry.

One of the only places you can buy sheet music for most instruments. Its great. You can sit for hours reviewing music. I always find all types of music here.

Ive been buying music from Roy all my life. The store is well stocked if youre a singer, and if they need to order it, it comes fast. Ive never had anything but courteous, great service, but then, I usually know what I want and dont waste their time asking stupid questions.

I go there frequently to buy strings, picks (I love the cool picks and the ice picks), polish, fretboard conditioner, etc, and no matter if Im spending $1.00 or $100.00 theyre always friendly and helpful. I just wish they had guitar parts and things like effects pedals. Maybe someday they will but until then Ill keep buying my essentials there.
