The did a great job on my 2009 F250. My transfer case needed to be replaced. He gave me the option of purchasing new or used. I elected to get a used one installed which saved me a nice chunk of change. He also gave me a 12 month warranty on my repairs (some repair shops will not do this). I will definitely use them again if needed.

I had tried my hand at swapping my SIs clutch but had to abandon due to complications with the bell-housing and I put it all back together. About 7 miles down the road my car lets out a clunk. Every gears a neutral.Called up A-Team and they sent a wrecker out to pick my car up the same day. Once they had a lift available they took a look at my car and identified the drivers side axle hadnt been seated properly. They cleaned out the transmission, installed the clutch-kit I was trying to install from the start, put it back together and slid the new axle into place after waiting for it to arrive. Labor came out to be about the same as if Id have taken it to the shop to begin with. A lovely bit of grace.The crew and especially the managers are great and humorous guys wholl stop at nothing to ensure a properly done job with the highest customer satisfaction. Only pieces they missed were more-so my problem, such as the engine shield which is a PITA to get on and off (Probably for the best that I put it back on as I know how to work around its finickiness). The other oddity was a clunk that I knew was the drivers side tie-rod joint, as Id forgotten to put the pin back in when I attempted the clutch swap prior to them working on it. Corrected it and tightened it back down without issue.They seemed to enjoy having my SI in the shop, with it being newer, cleaner, and just a piece of candy to be around and drive. If I ever have any sort of transmission work needs doing, Ill definitely consider A-Team Transmission!

Took my van in on a Friday. The diagnostic indicated a transmission rebuild which would be at least a week to repair. When they started to pull it out the following Monday they saw wires that had been eaten through. Replaced those and a shift sensor and thats all it needed. I was able to pick it up that same day. They saved me $2000 in repair costs. They also saw another issue that they dont work on but recommended getting that looked at. Their honesty and integrity make them a place I would highly recommend.

Here was my situation... Daughter at Capital University, me 2 hours away in Canton. Daughter calls me and tells me that her check engine light is on and her car is driving poorly; not accelerating properly but revs climbing. Being my second Ford Focus (shame on me) and already having 3 clutch replacements between the two, I knew what the problem was. I called Bexley-area garages asking for help and most couldnt even look at it for a month (pandemic BS). I finally called Bexley Car Care and they said they refer all of their transmission work to A Team Transmission. I called A Team, spoke to Chris and explained my situation. He said to bring the car over as soon as I could, they will diagnose the problem and get back with an estimate, but he said they are busy and parts are difficult to obtain. If it was the Focus-curse clutch repair and if they could get parts, repair would take 1-2 weeks. Not having a choice, my daughter dropped the car off on a Tuesday. On Wednesday (next day), Chris called and said they diagnosed the car, it was the clutches, he was able to get the parts and he hoped to have the car done by the end of the following week. With the pandemic labor shortage BS going on, I thought that was reasonable and gave him the go ahead. Chris called Friday of the same week (3 days after drop off!) and said that the car was ready. My daughter was able to pick up the car that day. Less than a week for a major transmission repair when other shops were quoting at least a week just to run diagnostics! Impressive service anytime but especially in todays labor situation. Many thanks to Chris and the technicians at A Team Transmission! I highly recommend them for any transmission work!

The owner and team are very knowledgable. They inspected my trucks transmission and explained how I could tow my RV more effectively to save wear and tear on my trucks transmission. The inspection showed the transmission was in good working order and ready for camping season. And they did not charge me for the inspection.

A Team Transmission saved me $6,000!!!Ricart Nissan stated that our transmission needed to be replaced. Their total was $6,300. My engine light always stayed on. That was the only issue. The drive, shifting and performance of our 2011 Nissan Murano LE was normal. Only 116k miles on it.I had A Team Transmission take a look at it.They noticed a low voltage issue when looking at the codes. It turned out that the engine wasnt receiving a constant voltage. So a new battery was put in for $300. Car runs the same but no engine light is on. I dont have to sell the car for parts nor accept the $500 trade in Ricart offered to us as is without any repair.I was elated. I tipped the manager and his service techs for their expertise in correctly diagnosing the problem. Thank you A Team Transmission! You are well named. These guys do transmission work 52 weeks a year.I highly recommend them. Especially for those engine lights that appear on your dash!Dont automatically accept a car dealersestimate as is. The folks at A Team took the time to check out my 4runner, make suggestions on next steps to get her running smoothly and explained my transmission to me so I know what to look and listen for. Even though I ended up not needing to leave my vehicle with them, they treated me like a customer and I will gladly trust them to do good work when its time.

Kept changing the price, to a higher price after asking if I had a stimmy check !?! Wouldn’t give me the number to the other shop so I can confirm the price they were giving me. I just had my car there in Jan and had to take it back March 31th as of today they still have my car it’s unprofessional and they lie about the price so they can charge more I wouldn’t use them again and if you do make sure you get the price IN WRITING TRUST ME YOU MAT NEED IT

Needed some transmission work (rebuild). Hector was honest and informative from the start. Fairly priced and I didn’t pay more than what was quoted over the phone. Kept me updated throughout the work. Noticed a tiny leak after I got my truck back. Took it back and they got it taken care of within the day with no charge thanks to the warranty. Will recommend to anyone, hopefully won’t have to go back there but if something comes up I will.

Said they rebuilt transmission ( which I belive they did ) and said they replaced ecm, which Im not sure. IF they did, by their own admission they installed it incorrectly. Doesnt matter anyway. After 3 trips back it still wasnt ever taken care of. They really have no clue what theyre doing except taking payment and eating donuts. I got rid of the car and strongly advise against anyone using this establishment.

Brought my E250 van in to have the transmission checked because I had smelled what I thought was burnt fluid. I have been waiting on a tow truck to arrive after speaking with an employee at 8:30 am. I was told during the first phone call that the driver had one stop ahead of me. At 11:30 am I called back to follow up and was told that the driver had one stop ahead of me again. I called at 3:00 pm and was told that there is no way to tell what time the driver will arrive because he drives for both locations. I asked if we could set an appointment for the driver to pick my car up in the morning, and the employee said the shop is closed on weekends. After reading the customers review from 3 days ago explaining that the cars are left outside and their parts were stolen, and how poorly they were treated after, of course I wont leave my car at this place over the weekend. My experience with this company was extremely poor, I cant get back the time wasted on waiting for their tow truck to arrive.

Less than one star! My wife and I took our vehicle in for an inspection. They had my car for 6 days and couldnt find what was wrong with it. No big deal there, that happens so we go to pick the car back up. Find out the catalytic converter got stolen while in their possession. Found out a few days prior that someone else car was vandalized (manager told us directly, it was a minivan with the passenger rear window broken). A-Team quickly responds with they are not liable and quickly showed us the door. We tried contacting the owner Sean Avner via phone and email with no response. Their service MIGHT be good but they will leave your car outside overnight, parking lot is wide open, not well lit, and a camera that doesnt capture anything for anyone drive up and vandalize/burglarize. A-Team will tell you they are not liable and will quickly stop communicating with you and will not work with you on this subject at all. Either someone on staff knows who is vandalizing these vehicles or the people doing it knows how easy it is to break into these vehicles with A-Teams lack of security. Either way I wouldnt leave my car their overnight for any reason! If they cant get to it that day DO NOT LEAVE YOU CAR WITH THEM! They will tell you their not liable and you will be left paying for the cost of the repairs out of your own pocket for something that happened on their property and in their care.I hope everyone reads this review and dont end up like us or the persons van that was vandalized.Lastly, police will not do anything!!! To help. They will not investigate at all and will tell you to handle it through your insurance so this pattern will continue.

I brought my coffee truck here rather than some other place that don’t specialize in transmission although it can be more expensive. But at least I know they do the job right.They towed my truck and rebuilt my transmission in two days. Had a new transmission put in ($3,000). I was told that it would be a 3-5 day job, but it was actually an 8 day job (said they had to order more parts after the digging into it). Customer service was good. Everything seems to drive well, but for some reason the check engine light is on. Took car back after a week... will update when they tell me whats up with the check engine light.Update... C2 sensor was replaced (A Team paid), check engine light gone.

I recently took an old project truck to A-team to have them look at a growling noise coming from my transmission area. They determined there were a number of issues:(, but Adam took the time to show me the issues, the damaged parts and walk me through the steps that would need to be taken to fix the problems. Adam made me feel like my truck was in the right hands. Because my truck was old (1971), some of the replacement parts were hard to find. However, they were able to source the correct parts they repaired all of the damage. My truck also didnt have a top (old Scout) and they made sure it was kept inside, and out of the rain, during the whole repair process, which told me that they really cared about my truck. The thing that impressed me the most with A-Team was their customer service. The owner, Sean, made a point to make sure that I was 100% satisfied. Which is very rare these days. The A-team workers should be proud to work for a business owner who makes sure that their customers are completely satisfied. Thank you Sean for being great to work with! If I come across another project vehicle, I will be back with any future transmission needs (just hopefully not too soon:).

Dropped my car off after hours on a Sunday with the check engine light on and inconsistent acceleration issues. Heard back by noon the next day and had a sensor replaced by 2pm. Fast, honest, good communication, friendly. Overall a pleasant experience.

I had nothing but great customer service with A Team Transmission. I am very pleased with their service. I am really happy that they were able to get my vehicle fixed in a timely manner. Great staff also.

These expert technicians said my transmission repairs would cost approximately $4,000.00. The A-Team guys said I needed a new CVT and transfer case. After taking it to another mechanic shop they inspected my car and discovered that my car had a torn transfer case seal (not cracked transfer case) and they said they believed a faulty sensor was the problem with my CVT. I took my car to a Nissan dealership and they said the mechanic was absolutely correct.. it was a faulty sensor. My repairs cost me a total of $350.00. Think about that for a minute.. $350.00 vs $4,000.00 in repair work cost. HUGE, HUGE ERROR in trouble shooting diagnosis! Way too much dependence on automotive technicians relying on computers, and not enough money invested in hiring, experienced, master mechanics who can THINK outside the box and substantiate/refute what a computer tells them is wrong with a car. I will agree with what a customer posted on Angie’s List about this place.. I would scrap or take my car to the dealership to be traded in for another car before paying these guys a dime!

My experience was brief I made a phone call to check with pricing on the rebuild of my transmission I was told a large number when I have crossed with several rebuild shops and have some in my local area that do it for $750 and there is a rebuild and Coal Grove Ohio thats willing to do it for 550 so why so expensive

My transmission blew last week and I brought the Cherokee in. They rebuilt the tranny and got the Cherokee back three days later. The people were great. They stayed after closing to finish it. I choose A Team Transmission because this is the third transmission I have replaced in the vehicle and heard good things about their service. It was easy financing with them thru lenmarn financing and they have done a wonderful job replacing it I reccomend them to everyone who need transmission work completed.

My experience has been pleasant. They have helped me more than once and I am grateful they are willing to take the time to explain important information to me. I also am happy with the amount of time spent with my car - it was finished exactly when they said it would be.

I suspected something was wrong with my transmission, so I searched online and found A Team Transmission. I took my car in, spoke with the owner Doug, and he did some testing and determined my transmission needed to be rebuilt. Doug gave me a quote, and told me how many days the process would take, and told me I could bring the car back whenever I was ready to have the work done. I took car home for a couple of weeks, and called around to get quotes from other companies. What I noticed while calling around was that most of the companies seemed to give me the run around about the potential cost and how long the process would take, and if they did give me a ballpark figure price, it was usually about $1k more than A Team’s quote!! I ended up taking my car to A Team to get the work done...best decision ever!!! I dropped my car off on a Wednesday, and my transmission was rebuilt/car was ready for pick up the next Wednesday, just as they promised! They even had me to bring it back within 10 days, so they could drive it to make sure everything was working okay! Ive called them exactly at 5:34 (before they close which is 6) and they just said I will give the person towing your car(whatever person) every detail about the car and what was wrong with it Ive been standing out by my car for over two hours, and not even a call. Not even Ill be late. Where is there professionalism? I have to work early tomorrow. I know, we all have that concern.. I have an ’05 Ion and I brought my car in for a routine maintenance checkup. It was fantastic from beginning to end. They let me know how things were going along the way and gave me status updates. The absolute best shop Ive had to deal with! My car was over heating, radiator had just been replaced a few years ago. All Lindsay Acura told me was it went bad again! A - Team Transmission got me right in, had it diagnosed in no time. They told me that whoever put the radiator in a few years ago didnt secure it and caused it to crack from moving around. They offered a low price to fix it but recommended I try talking to the manager @ Lindsay. Sure enough, they FIXED IT FOR FREE!!!!!!!!! These guys are awesome. Someone at firestone drove my car around the block and said that my transmission was slipping and that they would charge a $100 for a diagnostic. I was mortified because I had just purchased the car. Days later I took it to ATeam. They ran a diagnostic for FREE! Also drove it with me in the car. Looked at all the fluids and gave me the green light. Cant say enough good about A Team. They have payment plans and are super friendly.

I wish there were a negative star rating system. This branch does not deserve a 1 star. The customer service is terrible. The car has been with them now for 9 business days (not including the weekends). They have refused to give a time frame of when the car will be completed. I was told yesterday that the transmission just needed to be put back together and test driven. Within a hour, I was told the car would not be ready yesterday because the person stuck with putting it back together doesnt have the experience. They did pay for the rental car from Saturday to Tuesday morning (the rental was returned because it was the understanding the car would be ready). There is no way I would take another vehicle to them.

Quoted a price of $2000.00 or less. They started working on my car. Took the transmission out and then called and advised it would be an additional $2000.00. When I advised them I couldnt afford it and no longer wanted the car serviced they informed me it would be $700 to put the car back together or they could just put my transmission in the trunk. Terrible service. Money hungry.
