My husband and I tried this place for the first time, and we enjoyed it. They had great customer service. The food was delicious and the servers were attentive. They also had live music which was a plus for us.

This is the place to eat seafood at Pier 39! The prices are decent and the portions are plentiful! Two people ate the 2-person shellfish platter, had 2 drinks, and an appetizer for $98. While this is pricy, it is cheaper than any other seafood restaurants on the pier and the food is delicious!!!!I ordered the Lombard Lemonade (yum) and for $10.95 is was pretty large. The shellfish platter was huge--we couldnt eat it all!
Came in for the 2017 award winning clam chowder. I had it topped with crab and Caesar salad. The soup was creamy delicious. The iceberg lettuce was fresh and crisped. Sliced cheese on top. On the side was warm fresh sliced French roll. Altogether was delicious and filling. Great customer service. He was friendly and attentive. The day was warm and sunny to enjoy over lunch.Restaurant was on the 2nd floor of pier 39 overlooking the pier water. If youre looking for great clam chowder, this is the place to be.
I come here once a month and love the service and food. Melissa and Eddie were amazing servers. They are kind and friendly 10/10

Very friendly staff, nice ambient. The octopus tacos were very salty, however. Also, they could have served them with a side salad or some other side dish for the price. All you get imare the three tacos and thats it on a bare plate.
The aguachiles was $22 for a portion that shouldn’t have been $22. I walked in, told them I had ordered online, gave them my name, and was told it would be another 8-10 min wait, that they’d take my order out to me. I saw 2 large bags waiting inside but didn’t presume to check. I went outside to wait, wasn’t called for 15 mins, went back in and one of the bags that were already waiting and ready was mine. They didn’t even bother checking. Then, when we got home, 2 containers of salsa were empty. They seemed like trash. Sure the food is good but this was possibly the worst customer service ever.
Never a dull moment here. They upgraded the place and menu and every time I come here I have a great experience. Decent food and drink prices, their happy hour is a great deal. Live music always makes this a great place to be drink and eat. The only thing disappoints is how small the place is but other than that I definitely recommend people to come here.

Havent been there in long time.Their outdoor seating really changed and look great. I liked the space between tables and the tent along w each umbrella per table.Food was as spicy as I liked. No complaints here. Service was fast and friendly. Maybe cause it wasnt that busy. But I had a great experience.

The food was excellent! Super fresh shrimp cocktail! One of the best Ive ever had. Finely chopped, crisp, veggies. Perfect flavor. Nice and clean outdoor patio. Id definitely recommend. Not 5 stars because the service was alright -- nice people, but they didnt check on our table, we would have to call for them and it was not busy. They had plenty of people but they were prepping the empty tables -- which I get, but check on the tables with the customers. That should be priority. Our server, Allain, got a little upset when we asked a hostess for something, he said, you have to ask me. Other than that, we really enjoyed our experience. Cant wait to try the Pico location.
I was excited to try this place. Seafood was fresh! My campechana though had too much lemon, really sour lemon. I couldn’t even drink the juice I had to drain it. Hopefully it’s better next time

I went there with a few friends on a Saturday evening. Everything about this place is EXCELLENT! We got seated immediately after our whole party arrived and the service was great! Carla was our server and she was AMAZING! The food is incredible, I got the tacos mar y tierra and that is an experience of its own - I highly recommend this! I cannot wait to come back to LA again just for the food here! Thank you all so much!

I like this place for the food the price could be cheaper so it’s kind of expensive so make sure to bring enough money for the food puts them octopus tacos go for over 18 bucks for 3 but are really good. Get yourself a michelada those are worth it.

On Saturday July 17th went to have a birthday dinner here and ordered The shrimp- AguaChile. Ended up that the shrimp were bad and got food poisoning later that night. The shrimp that was served was old. Hopefully no one else got sick from eating there on this date.

This is one of the best Seafood places in LA.I’ve seen other ppl say that the michelas are the bomb, YES they are!!! A little pricey on the food, but it’s good. The tacos Governador are AMAZING, Tacos Sinaloense are even better. Take it from me, I’m picky but this place is the spot!!! I usually order the Torre Marinera, if you love sfd you won’t be disappointed.

I had just got a new car at Honda Downey, so to celebrate I Googled the nearest marisco and found this hidden gem. Service was superb tables and bathrooms were very clean as well. I got the sea food tower looks; small but once you dig in you will need to people for that bad boy. I also highly recommend the Marlin tacos, you wont be disappointed. And if you are less adventurous the shrimp tacos are packed(seasoned) with a unique blend that I can guarantee you have never had.

This place is by far the best place Ive had the pleasure of eating at. The staff is super friendly and when I mean friendly it means they catter to their customers like they really care. The prices are great for what they offer the food is deliciously amazing drinks as well parking is somewhat of an issue but dont care the place is amazing. The part that stuck with me the most if that right before we paid and left the actual owner of the place came to our table and asked us how our experience was and if we were ok or needed anything else and at the end of our conversation he offered a free gift card to get on our next visit a free plate of Agua chiles loved that he took the time to check on us as customers you dont see that often or at all I should say, I can see why his business is successful. Try it our I highly recommend this place did I mention it has live music the ambience is a plus.

My mom and I tried this place for the very first time and found it to be very accommodating and the food was excellent. The waiter mentioned that that the manager would be over in a few minutes and place a red napkin on our table. The manager was nice and gave us a card for a free appetizer on our next visit. Diffinitely worth a revisit.
Their kitchen is so dirty majority of the time their sanitizer in the Dishmachine doesn’t work so they’re not even sanitizing their dishes half the time.I’m glad I saw it before I ever ate there. Dodged one there. Just thought I’d share this info with the people.

Been here a couple of times. Peaceful during the week, but there is always music in the background. On the weekends music is way too loud and its packed inside and outside, so if youre not comfortable with that beware. This place is popular for their micheladas (but ive never had). Waiters always kind and attentive. Place is always clean and fresh. Their pinapple cocnut caramel cake rocks (7.99). Dessert menu doesnt have prices so always ask! And VERY LIMITED PARKING, might need to park on the side near del taco.
We had reservations and upon arrival we were third in line. We wanted less than 20 min to be seated. I would highly recommend reserving online. Everyone was really nice. All throughout the evening we were ask continuously if we needed anything by anyone worker who walked passed. Our sever Genesis was wonderful. She was very attentive and very welcoming. Great experience overall. Thanks for doing all you can do and making it work durring this pandemic.
Their food was extremely good, however their drinks were weak and expensive! Even after I asked for topshelf tequila, there drinks were watered down. The waiters were attentive and polite, so their customer service made it enjoyable. I recommend that you drive by and stop and decide for yourself if its worth it or not...

Loved this place. Liked their style. I decided to eat inside because it was a rainy day but I wish I was outside with the music and fun. A lot of parking on the side street which was also a plus. I ordered the fish tostada which was really good. Governador taco and the Marlin taco was really good. My favorite.
The food was pretty good. It wasnt amazing but good. The michelada was delicious. I personally had the fish and shrimp taco. A friend had the Camarones Costa Azul which looked delicious I would come back to try that. Good and friendly customer service. The area had a lot of homeless people around so be weary because the parking is a challenge.. but overall good experience to come back and try again.

First time here and we were given a thorough introduction to their menu by the host. After we were done we were approached by the manager who genuinely wanted to hear our feedback and invited us back for a second visit. Theres a lot of competition out there but moving forward this place will definitely be on top of our list. Thank you CHOIX staff!!.

I came here for lunch on Sunday and was sat indoors. Its much more quiet as there is live music outside. My friend and I got drinks. I got a Michelada which was really good, I definitely recommend. She ordered a tostada and I got tacos Gobernador. We werent there long and the service was attentive, the food was brought out promptly. The server let us know a kind man paid for our meal dont know why, but thank you kind stranger!

The best shrimp cocktails
I ordered for the 1st time since I read very good reviews. I ordered the tostada aguachile and was very disappointed when I opened container as I ordered thru doordash I received 5 shrimps and very little finely Chopped onion and more than half of the container had cucumbers it was like I ordered a cucumber tostada to put so much cucumber and only 5 shrimp and very little onion was disappointing especially for the price.I have ordered aguachiles from different restaurants and onion and cucumbers are cut bigger, these look like the onion and cucumbers used for the coctel. Dont think Ill be ordering again.

Best micheladas and Aguachiles hands down!! But went on Saturday 1/30/21 and ordered more than 200$ worth of food, upon pick up I asked the waiter if we can have some salsas, hot sauce, crackers and tostadas she said everything is already in the bag... when I get home to my guests there is not one utensil nor salsas, crackers or tostadas in the bag!!! Nothing just the food I ordered!! Make sure you check your order even if the waiter is rushing you out the door!! take your time to open your bag and confirm all you need is in there!!
