This is a famous place for getting some really yummy flavored ice cream, from Sundaes to shakes and cones. We swung by almost every night for my two week vacation here for a different flavored ice cream, after eating dinner. It is cash only, but its worth it. There are some tables and chairs outside in the back. This is an order from outside place only. There is handicap parking available.

Love this Pierre classic! Its a walk up that is open seasonally. Tons of unique sundaes and shakes creatively plastered across the glass. Plus a rotating sherbet of the day. Check it out if youre in town!

Great ice cream and food! You have to pay with either check or cash too. Variety of different things on their menu. Best day is the one time in July they have Christmas in July peppermint ice cream. The whole place is decked out in Christmas decorations then. Its a fun little place. They also have a sign you can read from the road now this year that lists the flavor of the day!! No more rubber-necking

Incredible little art deco-ish ice cream place that also serves lunch. Service was fast and friendly, although we only ordered ice cream. Several other customers had ordered lunch and the orders seemed to be served quickly. Reasonable prices, $4 for a small dirty river, twist ice cream, how fudge and crushed Oreos. Next time were in the area, well be back.

Zesto’s is awesome and they always have a huge variety of ice cream treats to pick from. Usually always a line but it’s always worth it. I do want to address the no credit card policy. It’s really just unacceptable now, especially during these times. As the pandemic continues, many places have opted to flat out stop taking cash all together and utilize card for a more contactless approach. The fact that Zesto’s does not take cards is baffling and I can only assume it’s because the owners don’t want to pay the associated fees that come with it. I do hope they get with the times and implement card payments. Other than the card issue, you can’t go wrong with Zesto’s. Just being cash... or I guess a check if you’re 65 years or older.

Kids go every chance they get. I like sending them. Its small town fun lol and really yummy ice cream. Family favorite is the cookie dough shake mmm mmm mmm

A very dated location, but the friendly staff is very welcoming.The large turtle was amazing. Honestly, the price was fantastic.Although the place can be extremely busy and requires a lot of waiting, it definitely is worth it. I would recommend attempting to sneak by during a less busy time, it is always worth it.

Can’t tell you the quality of ice cream. I can only say that it being “cash only” killed it for me. It’s 2019 there are several options to get a card reader without it being a nightmare as the owner.... perhaps it’s time you got an updated system? No outdoor seating or alcoves makes getting ice cream here a no go as the temps start dropping like they always do in Oct.Honestly I went to Dairy Queen because of the card options.

Best ice cream, sherbet, and hot weather treats in Pierre. There is always a line at the window, but they serve from 2 windows, so it goes fast. Part of the charm is reading the signage, complete with original drawings, and listening to locals bumping into one another. This is a MUST STOP attraction in Pierre. There is a shaded park adjacent to the Zesto with benches where you can enjoy the pleasure of your treat.

The best ice cream ever! They always have a flavor of the day as well as chocolate and vanilla, and lots of unique sundae type items. You can get fried food as well. They offer half gallons for $6, which is usually the route I go!! They offer a sundae called the Grandma Emma. I actually had a Grandma Emma. 😊

The ice cream is fantastic. They have special flavors that rotate every couple days, plus chocolate and vanilla at all times. They also do twists, which are my personal favorite. They have a selection of food, but Ive only ever gone for ice cream. Give it a try, especially during the summer.

Really good and best Ice cream I ever had but, never ate any other food there. I love it when they have black cherry flavor which tastes really good when you ask they to twist it with chocolate.

Was told to go here while we were visiting. I wish I could remember who told me because I owe them a thanks. We enjoyed the ice cream and Malta very much. The price is very reasonable too. Many places we’ve been to dish out smaller portions at a higher price. Zesto dishes out a large helping at an extremely reasonable price. Best of all, it’s delicious

You get a fair amount of ice cream for what you pay. Very pleased.

Its a great place to get dessert for your family. Sometimes you have to stand there, but it doesnt take long actually. It only takes a few minutes then they are at the window after people get their dessert. The works are really good at their jobs.

Nice place, but the fact that they havent figured out a way of accepting credit cards as payment is fairly ridiculous. To the owner: Square has been around for years now and will still mail you a completely FREE card reader, no strings attached.

This is the best ice cream confection stand I have ever found. I have stood in line (outdoors) in blowing snow to order. Their selection is large and there is some food as well.

Local institution. Try the Palmer dog and an Uncle Matt. Do not miss out on the sherbet which is its own special animal (its not sherbet but its not strictly soft serve). Bring cash as they dont take cards. If there is a line, get in it its worth the wait.

Great ice creams, malts, sundaes, pretty much everything. Cash only though, so bring some bills, but only a fee, prices are reasonable too. This place is great with tourists too.

Ill have a pizza burger and chocolate chip malt and be the happiest man alive. Ive been going here since I was a kid in the 80s and there is something very special about this Zesto. Next time Im in Pierre Ill be sharing this experience with my children.

Yes please! Any time is good time for ice cream especially from ZESTO. I have not tried the food items on the menu, like a pizza burger?, but the ice cream is great. No indoor seating, just two serving windows and the young girls that work the are friendly and helpful. They do have some basic outdoor seating. You can try icecream like dirt cup or muddy water, fun names for great ice cream. The prices are very reasonable and sizes are generous. Why you still reading this... go there!!
