I needed my hair cut and I found Rachel. She’s so sweet, kind, and professional. She cut my hair into a bob and she SLAYED this cut. When I say she gave my hair LIFE. She colored, cut, treated, and styled it. My hair look so good it looks like a wig. My hair hasn’t felt this soft in years, nor has it looked this healthy. If you’re in the DMV area she’s worth the drive. She definitely has a retuning customer. Ladies don’t miss out she’s amazing!

Rachel owner/stylist has been caring for my hair for over 13 years. I am very pleased with the salon, it’s clean, great quality of service, professional environment and more importantly the excellent care Rachel takes to ensure that my natural hair is healthy, as well as being skilled to provide low maintenance alternatives that gives me flexibility.I trust Rachel, “my stylist” with my hair..She takes the time to get to know the client and what works for you personally..I might add...Rachel is a skilled colorist.. I’m talking from experience.. She is the only stylist that colored my hair and did the proper maintenance to insure that my hair thrived, grew and didn’t break off.I have and would recommend this salon to anyone.

Salon Rache is hands down one of the best Upscale Salons in the DMV area. The level of professionalism and service is unmatched. I have been serviced by Rachel the salons owner on both my natural hair and with a full weave installation, and all I can say is that she is a true stylist through and through. The Salon environment is always clean warm and inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend to all my family and friends no matter what their beauty needs are I’m more than confident that Salon Rache can meet them 100%.

Cant wait to be able to get back into Rachels chair!! She is incredibly talented and super friendly. I had my first weave install back in December and I couldnt be more pleased especially since it still looks so good this far out! We had some issues getting started on time but it was totally worth it. Looking forward to a re-install when we get somewhere close to back to normal.

I moved to Maryland just over a year ago from TN and had been very nervous about finding a new stylist but I hit the jackpot my very first try. A young lady by the name of Janette braided my hair. She did an awesome job! It looked even better than the picture I provided. I will definitely be going back!! The salon was nice and clean and all the ladies seemed very professional and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place!

I Love my hair stylist Rachel! Ive been going to her Salon for years now. My experience there has been pleasant and the staff is very professional. Rachel has done my hair even when she wasnt feeling well. My hair is always on point. I am a very picky person. She never disappoints. I Love my celebuton hair too😙. Ive moved 1 hour away over a year ago and I still go to her only. No one else will touch this hair.

Salon owner Rachel is very rude and unprofessional! very uncomfortable in the atmosphere. NOT KID FRIENDLY AT ALL! I walked in with my kids to get them serviced and Rachel looked at me in disgust and told me they couldnt be there when my stylist let her know they were there to get serviced she said my BABY couldnt be there! my 9 month old baby who I do not trust with a sitter yet. I do not recommend this place to anyone! Another time I was there getting my weave taken out and I had more dandruff than usual coming out my hair . She again looked at me and my stylist in disgust threw wipes at my stylist and demanded her to clean up the area we was in right in the middle of her taking my hair out! I was so humiliated and embarrassed that tears just started coming out my eyes and I got up and walked out!

I scheduled an appointment online with Marelle and received a confirmation via email for my appointment a few days prior. I made my appointment for 10 am because that would give me enough time to get my hair braided and see my nephew off to prom later that evening. I arrive on time and am confused on where to enter because the entrance to the salon doesn’t have the business name on it. In fact the windows are frosted so you can’t even see inside! A business logo on the front door (that’s actually on the side of the building) would be helpful. None the less, I figure out how to get in and tell one of the stylists working that I’m there for Marelle. She tells me to have a seat. I sit among an assembly line of woman whose hair had already been washed and blow dried in preparation for their turn. I wait about ten minutes and a woman walks in with a little girl. Another ten minutes go by and the woman comes over and asks me what I’m getting done. I ask if she’s Marelle and she says yes. I tell her what I want and she informs me that she has another appointment at 10 am (it’s now 10:25) that she booked personally and I would have to wait until 1 pm since I booked online. Here’s why I’m giving one star, If hairstylists want to manage their own appointments then they need to block their book off during those times so other potential clients don’t also book during that time. Also, why is it that I didn’t find out until 25 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start that I wouldn’t be getting my hair done that morning? I could have made other arrangements. While she was nice, she wasn’t apologetic or taking ownership of the double booking either. I left and went elsewhere and because I didn’t have an appointment, my hair was started later and I missed seeing my nephew off to prom! Totally unacceptable!

Rachel is INCREDIBLY talented! She is sweet, kind and will do her best to achieve the style of your dreams. I never had a weave before and I got a partial with two bundles. It looks EXACTLY like my natural hair. The installation is seamless/invisible; PERFECT. My friend curled my hair and couldnt see where my weave started. I purchased the 18 and 20 Celebuton hair. Its TOTALLY WORTH IT! I made a last minute appointment and also got my hair colored. Its sooo pretty😍

I had a wonderful experience at Salon Rache! Lets start from my arrival time to my departure time. Once I arrived, the staff was very friendly and polite. Everyone said hello and greeted me with a smile. My appointment time was scheduled for 12:45 p.m. and I arrived at 12:40 p.m. Rachels assistant, Taylor, began the shampooing process around 12:42 p.m. Overall, Taylor was very nice! Specifically, she was gentle while shampooing and detangling my hair (I have natural hair; therefore, its extremely important to be gentle during the shampooing and detangling process). Also, I asked Taylor several questions pertaining to the types of shampoos and conditioner, and she was able to provide me with an accurate answer; its great to have a knowledgeable staff! After receiving a deep conditioner, Taylor completed the process by blow drying my hair, which she did a awesome job! Next, I transitioned to Rachel. Rachel is truly awesome! Not only does she have over 20 years of hair care experience, she truly cares about the health of your hair. For example, during toadys visit, Rachel took her time flat ironing and curling my hair, she provided me with hair care tips, product recommendations, and answered my questions pertaining to my hair. To conclude, I must say, Salon Rache is a special gem, and Im excited to be a Celebuton!

I loved the ambiance of the salon but I did not have a good experience. The owner agreed to refund me and at almost a month after my first experience I am still awaiting a refund. Issues occur in business but I was disappointed, one that I didnt get the service I paid and tipped for, then by the general vibe of staff and finally that my new appointment was pushed back. The owner had travel which is awesome for her career and did try to make up one appointment but by then my experience was ruined as there was a lot of back and froth communication and schedule issues between busy professionals. Sometimes, its just not a good fit but do hope my refund will arrive soon.

Great place for friendly people

Rudest person ever to answer a business phone. Turned me off to even wanting to make an appointment.I called today for a last minute hair cut- the phone was answered with an annoyed hello nothing else. I paused and asked if this was salon rache- again the annoyed female responded yes and nothing else. I decided to make one last ditch effort and asked are you open today? The person then says depends on what you want to have done then silence ... I then decided I didnt want my hair cut that badly that I would go to a salon that had great reviews but had terrible first point of contact representation. This person should NEVER answer the phone for a business, she lets it be known shes annoyed.

I love salon rache!!!!! Rachel does my hair and she is the best. I drive from dc every week for Rachel to do my hair. She practices the best hair care. When I first came to rachel my hair was damaged and she brought it back to life through hair care and an amazing color. I have never had a bad a experience and the hospitality is wonderful along with the staff. Rachel does not play when it comes to her clients. I am a client for life!!!!!!Tracy from DC
