2 people working in the copy center. 1 was doing a small lamination job and the other girl was helping the customers. There were 5 people waiting in line. No one greeted or acknowledged customers for 10 minutes. The one girl was trying her best to complete things but orders should have been taken to speed the line up. I was attempting to drop off a package.
I give my hometown Staples 5 Stars because of the kindness, attentiveness, knowledgeable, considerate, and professionalism of their staff. Particularly a gentleman by the name of Paul who went above and beyond in customer service last Friday. He was respectful & so helpful. He went out of his way to do everything he could to alleviate my anxieties, resolve my issues, address my concerns, and get us in and out of the store as quickly as possible. He offered us additional services and products that would be useful to us, and basically did everything for us. For this 1 staff member alone, this Staples, deserves 5 Stars. I’ve never received better service in my life. Nor have I ever experienced such personalized service. Of course I’ll be back!😊Even though stress & tensions are still high because of the pandemic, from this interaction, you would never guess it was anything more than a normal, pleasant day.While in the store there were some unhappy customers. After finishing with us, he quickly tended to the other customers and deescalated the situation professionally and readily, without incident.Suffice to say, I was very impressed with his performance. I wish all staff members of every establishment were like him. The man deserves a raise, to be frank.Thank you so much, Paul! Visited today for what I thought would be a quick no biggie copy. But I was wrong! the helpers there are very nonchalant and condescending. I wanted a two-sided copy of my parking card and was barely directed to the scan/copy printer. I was told to put money on a staples card after I left the counter. These girls had no customer service training omg they mumbled every word. I had to ask ten times for the correct print. The young lady put the wrong setting for a two sided copy then walked away. So I had to keep adding more funds
I came here to have a map that I owned laminated and a calendar blown up and laminated. The people are kinda nice but they are understaffed so the store is unkempt, the wait is long and things dont get fixed like it needs to be. They lost my document, after I paid extra for express, after waiting 15 minutes looking for it and waiting an extra 15 minutes for them to print one from the internet and laminate it all over again. They found my map!! And reduced my cost considerably. So I left happy and even bought some extra stuff (I was so happy to get my map back!) But I still had to wait 25 extra minutes so the rating will stay the same.

I went into Staples in Pikesville yesterday and was greeted by the most pleasant young lady Ive ever encountered in a customer service experience. Not only was she polite and courteous, she was great at multi-tasking. In true retail professionalism, she politely asked if she could excuse herself to assist in coming customers. Of course I said yes. Having worked in retail while in college, I understood the frustration of a growing line. She perfected the art of keeping customers happy by immediately acknowledging their presence, at the same time keeping me satisfied. Great job!This superwomans name is Xena, go figure. A true Princess Warrior.
Terrible. Tried to use the shipping service and was told to address the package myself because “it’s easier for them instead of typing it.” Someone behind me was dropping off a package and needed a receipt so that customer was taken over me even though I was at the counter. No social distancing and I was not asked if it was okay to take the other customer ahead of me. I’m taking my money to another shipping service.
Smallest Staples/Office Depot Ive been into. I was greeted when I walked in and an employee assisted me on the floor, she was very pleasant and sweet. Everyone appeared to be friendly and busy helping out people.

Had really bad experience with Elden, he might be the manager on the shop floor. For an online furniture return he made it so painful on us even after having the shipping label and everything disassembled. He made us roam for 2 days not accepting and saying that it he cannot do anything...we reached another guy on the shop for help and he made its so quick and easy.The worst experience ever!! I would give a no start!!

Ive been going to this Staples for years now. Their turnover rate is kind of freaky (there are always a few faces I recognize, though). This last time I went, their newest hires were so helpful. Theyve made changes to the store when you walk in, as well. Its kind of nice.It does get kind of busy occasionally & then youll be lucky if you get out with whatever you went in for in the same hour.For the most part, the clearance section in the back is awesome.Some of the sales they have give the best prices in townOverall, I will keep coming back here & will enjoy watching the store evolve
Went to this location today to have some things printed and faxed. The process was quick and easy and I was able to complete a job I have been trying to do all week. When I walked in there was a guy standing at the front door that was kind and welcoming asking to offer any help he can to each customer. Kudos to him for coming to work actually ready to work.

I do not come here a lot, probably once a year, it is a little expensive compared to other places but very close to home for a quick emergency run for anything. Taneaka was a great help and very friendly! Just by passive observation, the entire staff is very kind and helpful towards all customers.

I went to this Staples to get business cards made on Wednesday. The girl working at the printing desk with locs and light brown contacts is extremely rude. I had questions about the layout of the business cards I wanted to get printed and she misunderstood my questions and became very hostile. She was very short in her responses and would walk away after barely answering my questions. Courtesy should be first and rudeness should never enter a customer interaction. That will be my last time at the Pikesville location.I highly recommend more training because the customer service skills are just not there.

THE BEST FLEET OF STAPLES STAFF IN ALL OF MARYLAND! I visited this store last week Wednesday. 3/20 at 10am. The cashier was extremely helpful and hospitable. Ive been to the one in Catonsville and Ellicott City - HORRIBLE SERVICE. I am so happy to have found a Staples that has quality people. I am so grateful for the people who work here.
Most employees seem helpful. When they were out of my toner I had one employee basically call me stupid because I didnt know this one was the high yield version of mine. I was dumb and followed his advice. I did more research and, before I opened it, figured out that he didnt know what he was talking about. Brought it back for a refund but not before being inconvenienced and STILL not being able to print or copy at my office.
Tavonna was very helpful with helping my wife print off some documents. Very pleased with the service there. But the place could use some cleaning. Other than that it was fine.
Daniel was very helpful and put my liquid screen protector on perfect. Another associate helps me find a safe and a binder he knew where everything was at and they were very pleasant.

In an era where Staples is on its last leg you would think their customer service would be better! Newsflass, its horrible. I went there for a simple lamination and was treated like trash and when the worker made a mistake they blamed it on my printer!!!!

I have read all of the reviews for this store and, although polar opposites, I agree with them all. I am a business owner and a homeschool mother. You can imagine how often I need to go to Staples. I have been coming to this particular Staples for years. Even before they moved to McHenry St. Depending on the day you go in, their service can be amazing or very dissatisfying. 98% of the time, the service is amazing. Ive been quoted the wrong price for an item that needed to be shipped in, and when the order was placed, the total was more than the quote. The associate discounted the price and sold the item to me for the original quoted price..no problem. The item shipped to my home free or charge.I had to purchase a big ticket item there recently and the manager found every discount he could to save me money. I can go on about their service. They are very attentive, but when I feel theyre lacking, I make them aware of it and I am helped. Sometimes it just takes speaking up.The other 2% of the time usually occurs over at the printing station. They could use more staff there. And why do I need to wait for 2 hours just to make a copy? When no one else is in line? No. I need to have this done now. I have also had the experience, like another reviewer, where they had a question but chose not to call to clarify. This resulted in a wasted trip and a lengthened pick up time. They could have done better than that.Overall, Id say the store is worth coming to if you need items other than printing.

8:20am and store not opened. Scheduled to open at 8am. Employees lined up waiting to go to work. They have no idea what’s happening. Things happen but address properly.

I was able to get help with printed labels. The lady was courteous.
Its a typical Staples. No different from any of the other Staples. The employees are courteous and helpful. There is plenty of free parking out front.I brought them a print job the other day. When I got home, I found that the print job was pixellated. They should have noticed that and fixed it before I came to pick it up, but in their defense, when I came back, a different employee was on duty at the print desk. She checked the file and saw that the pixelation was not caused by the file so she printed it out on a different printer, and it came out perfectly.
They worked with me to get a last minute print order ready in time for an important work event and Im so grateful.
There is always an issue. This time there was no toilet paper in the ladies bathroom. The employee could not locate it for replacement. I was able to locate un the back! This is the pathetic Staples un this area. Id rather travel the extra niles.

THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AT THE COPY CENTER WAS EXCELLENT.THE YOUNG LADY WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
Consistently understaffed, which results in long waits for customers and difficulty with printing requests. Staff members are always kind and are helpful, but the stress is palpable, which makes for an uncomfortable experience - after 5 or more visits, I am looking for a local alternative.
Worst custumer service I have experienced out of all my visits to staples. First my co-worker and I were trying to buy a few items from the store and asked a few questions to one of the employees there, who looked bothered by us asking him questions then we moved on to the copy & print station and everyone there acted rude and ignored us completely the whole time we were there, by the way we were the only custumers there at that time so they were not busy helping other custumers. We needed help creating our bussiness cards and pay for a few items and nobody seemed to care when we asked for help so we had to approach one of the managers on duty to inform him what was going on and also that we would not return to that specific staple location ever again! He was not helpful but at least we were able to finally pay. Dont waste your time going there unless they change staff.

I went to have my daughters 2 page report printed. 2 employees could not figure out how to use ANY of the printers to help us accomplish this. One employee, when the could be bothered to respond to my inquiry as to what was taking so long, just kept saying its really slow. I took our USB back and walked across the street to FEDEX. No issues there.

I called to see if they carried tmax400 film and I was put on hold. The person who answered the phone, Mike, set the phone to the side, relayed my question to someone else and proceeded to ring up a customer. I was on hold for at least 5 minutes then the phone hung up in my ear. I called back immediately and spoke to a female who was very rude. She then transfered me to the print and copy department only to find out that they dont even carry film. Just felt the customer service was piss poor at best. This was the evening of 9/23/16
Need better signs to find stuff
I was appalled when I and 5 other people waiting in line for more than 20 minutes waiting for a cashier to assist us to check out. Had to call the manager to check us out. All he said was it was his time off. Can you believe that! One cashier on line

I have tried to get printing done at this location twice. The first time I sent the printing job online and they claimed they never received it and it must have been sent to the Owings Mills location. When I went to the Owing Mills location they said it was sent to the Pikesville location the associates never opened the email to complete the print job. When I went to pick it up at the designated time they said it wasnt ready and then when I went back they said they never got the order. The Owings Mills location fixed Pikesville mistake but I ended up spending almost 3 hours of wasted time trying to get a simple job printed. The second time I went to the location to give them the file and told them I would be there in the morning to pick it up. It was not printed because they had a questions and they never tried to call me to get the question answered or to tell me that it was not ready. I told them I would be back in a half hour to pick it up and when I returned the printer was broken and I could take it to another location to get it printed. I wasted about 2 hours of my time trying to get this printed. They told me they would sent it to the Towson location to get it printed, it has been 2 hours and nothing has been sent to Towson. I continue to wait because now I am in a huge time crunch and this is the only place that doesnt sent our for printing and is supposed to have quick turnaround time. DO NOT GET PRINTING DONE HERE!!!

Worst customer service ever. They failed to print my order as promised and then promised to issue a refund to my credit card but also failed to do that. The assistant manager was indifferent to my complaint.
