I took my 2004 Nissan Maxima SE to the Wrench Connection because I thought my transmission was shot. Scared to death of their diagnosis due to financial restrictions I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the problem was just my CAM sensors. Once diagnosed the repair took less than one business day. Since then I had no other major issues with my car. Ricky is the mechanic that did my repairs and I would proudly recommend him to anyone needing work on their vehicle. Thank Ricky and the rest of the staff at the wrench connection.

The Wrench Connection was great! Worked really well with me, as an out of state college student, communicating with me and my parents. They did a great job with my car and left it for me better than when I dropped it off! Roger worked with me and he was so nice and friendly. I highly recommend for college students, especially if theyre out of state.

I have had break issue with my 2001 Toyota 4 Runner for a couple years. My friend gave her recommendation to give Rick at The Wrench Connection a call. Roger was the one who answered my call when I rang. He was very professional and personable. What i liked the most is they wanted to find out the root of the problems vs identifying and replacing. Roger went above and beyond to try and problem solve a special issue with the master brake cylinder system that was specific to my year and model. They guaranteed their work and the parts for 3 years! My truck has never driven better! These guys are all experts at what they do. You can tell they take pride in their work not only by giving their outstanding guarantee but in the cleanliness & organization of the work space! I received a follow up call by Rick to see how she was running and to extend his appreciation for putting my trust in his business. Great service, prompt, and made sure that I knew what the repair entailed before starting the job, and was diligent about communicating with me.

I had my truck sent here after a transmission misdiagnosis from the dealer the these guys were amazing! They took the time to give the truck a thorough look over and found the transmission was in perfect condition and it was just some ground wires and computer configuration. The time and effort they put into my truck was above and beyond what I could have asked for! I would absolutely send friends and family here!

Charged $370 for a service that it took three times to figure out and required swapping out a blower motor resistor that costs $65 tops online (they charged double), and shouldn’t have taken a skilled mechanic more than half an hour to replace because of the east location right under the glove box. Definitely was seriously price gouged. Beware, this place won’t give you a call and let you know charge estimate before performing work! Always on high side of costs.

WOW, The Wrench Connection, is truly AMAZING!! In the past I had such a horrible nightmare of an experience, getting a transmission replaced at a different repair shop, that I was dressing taking my car ANYWHERE to be repaired. From the first call I made to the wrench connecting, this experience has been a dream! When I brought my vechile in to be looked at I had been leaking coolant, and this wasnt a simple issue, that could be repaired by just replacing a hose or something. Rodger was person, and polite, and set my mind at ease. When I picked up my car, ( ON SCHEDULE!!) I was able to meet the owner Rick, who was also very professional, and engaging. Even the technician who worked on my car came out to show me pictures and video of the work he completed on my car, as well as showing me the parts they replaced. My car still needs to have some work done on it, and I can say with confidence it will be completed the right way, at the wrench connection. I will remain, a faithful patron of the wrench connection, they have earned my loyalty with their honest, and shrivel business practices!! Amazing place. I have been bringing my vehicles here whenever they need work (which is rare). My dad told me about this place and I’ve only gone to them since.They are very professional and describe the issues they find in a very easy to understand way. They don’t lie about work that needs done on vehicles either.

Took my car in for some service. Not only did they fix the issue, they saw my battery DESPERATELY needed replacing and put one in with a lifetime warranty. Good work for a fair price. Roger has excellent customer service skills. Will go back and highly recommend to others!

I took my car here to get my brakes checked and I was immediately impressed by the customer service. I was dropping off my car, but had to go to work immediately after, so Rick offered me his personal car for me to take to work while he worked on my car. I was surprised at his generosity and thankful for all his help. He did not try to push extra expenses or repairs my way. He was honest and straightforward. I highly recommend Wrench Connection!

The owner of the company has a SEVERE bipolar disorder formally known as manic depression. Great pay great to his customers so he can get great reviews but speaks down and belittles his employees says he treats them with respect but tears them down because he is the owner, HORRENDOUS WORK ENVIRONMENT. If you’re human and make mistakes ever so often I would not apply here because you will be broken down mentally emotionally and physically. Shop lunches provided every week but again I say DO NOT take the first impression of the owner/manager as what it is he is one of the most ill tempered human beings I have ever come into contact with, and what makes it worse is you don’t know it at first until you have invested your time and life into the company where your life would be on the line if he just decides to drop you on the curb. Not professional at all and that kind of behavior does not deserve business unless a change is made.

The waiting area is set up so you can see the service being performed on your car this is a good feeling. As you know seing is believing. They take care of your car as it was there own. Came here to find out the source of grinding in the rear of my car. They correctly diagnosed the issue and got me a quote with a reasonable price within a short time. After getting my car back I no longer hear the grinding noise. The owner, Rick, is a very honest guy and will make sure you get as much information about your car as possible so you can make your own decisions on what you want to do. He is very thorough on explaining what each issue is and how it can affect you vehicle. I will be taking my vehicles here for all my repairs and recommending all my friends to do the same.

I never write reviews, but The Wrench Connection is by far the BEST mechanic I have ever taken my car to and they deserve to be recognized for it. Rick is THE BEST and you can tell he is really passionate about his work! I read reviews about him online before taking my car in and sure enough he was everything everyone else spoke highly about and more! He is so patient and really takes the time to help you understand WHY and WHAT he is fixing on your car - not just fix it and bill you. When it was time for me to pick the car up, he let me know that he only replaced 3 tires because my 4th one looked almost new (which it was since I replaced it a few months back) but any other mechanic would have just switched it out and charged me with no thought.I cant say enough about the excellent service here! I came in to get my brakes serviced and throughout the whole process I was treated with respect and things were explained to me in a respectful and non-demeaning way. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of and I am extremely impressed by that because as a young woman I often feel that other mechanics try to take advantage of me. The service was incredible and the price was very reasonable. I’m so happy with my experience. Plus I got to hold the puppy, Hubcap, and that just made the experience even better.

Hands-down the best auto shop experience Ive ever had. I was purchasing a car from out of state, and as it was my first auto purchase experience I was VERY nervous and had tons of questions. I moved to Orlando not knowing who to take my car to. I took my chances with The Wrench Connection based on other customers reviews. I met with the owner, Rick to discuss the issues I was having with my car. He did an extremely thorough inspection of my car and explained to me what items should be taken care of immediately and what items I could take care of down the road. I am very satisfied with the service I received and wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

Okay. So. Here’s the deal. I am a laughably poor student and flight attendant. My car decided it wanted to make it just past the employee parking lot at MCO and then become a useless pile of metal and frustration. I am brand new to Orlando, and had no idea what to do. For context, every car issue I’ve ever had in the past, I just frantically call my dad back in Tennessee, cry for a minute, and then get it to him to fix with prayers and well wishes so it can be his problem. It’s about the same way I do my taxes every year.But I digress. So my car broke down in a terrible spot. The Orlando police came and helped me get it to a location that wouldn’t result in carnal wreckage from an overly enthusiastic gate agent just trying to get home around a blind corner at the airport. I had to figure out where I was going to take it, with no context and no parental guidance. I say all this to say, it was not a good day and if I could have yelled at anyone in customer service, I would have. Wrench connection had good reviews, sure, but I called a pilot friend of mine. I mean, if he knows airplanes, he can probably direct me to some sound gents who can fix my car. It’s about the only advice one should take from a pilot, but that’s neither here nor there (just trust me on this one).Anyway, I spoke both to a Ricky and a Roger. They heard my plight of desperate ignorance when it came to my sad Kia, and said bring it in. They even recommended a towing place that I loved. Not only was my tow driver colorful and hilarious, but he also charged $50 less than anyone else I’d called for comparison. He also veiled his disdain for my complete ineptitude when it comes to motor vehicles. What else could you want in a wrecker?Wrench Connection was sweet to me. I’m a single, poor, desperate human that just needed to get to work. They didn’t replace everything they could have (because let’s be honest. It’s a Kia. There’s roughly a butt load of things wrong with that car and has been since I drove it off the lot 7 years ago), labor was very reasonable, and they didn’t judge how FILTHY the interior was. Seriously, there were enough piled Mountain Dew bottles to make you question my sanity and gainful employment. Had I known I’d break down, I would have at least thrown some of that shameful display away.I recommend this place to anyone. They were quick, kind, affordable, and non judgmental. I hope I never have to see such incredible people ever again, but I’ll be telling all my friends and coworkers.

I brought my 2009 Toyota Matrix XRS to Wrench Connection because I had a clunking noise on the right side. It was diagnosed as a broken motor mount. They fixed it in a timely manner and saved me $180.00. That $180.00 would have gone to the dealer had I brought it there. I had an unavoidable accident involving my year old car, the beeline and a huge hunk of metal. My FORMER mechanic said it would be too much money take it to the dealer and go through your insurance. I was defeated as I had no intention of going through my insurance. Well Ricky saved the day! He saved me hundreds ordering a used gas tank! Ricky and his crew are super professional and the shop is so clean. My only regret is not finding the Wrench Connection years ago.

Dropped off, was up front about the time frame and honest about the repair. Would have had a great opportunity to sell me things I didnt need, and didnt. Found a relatively minor belt failure and fixed it. They also took the time to clean up the parts that the belt could have gunked up. Car has been running amazing since!

My family and I drove to Orlando from Boone, NC for a business trip and soon found our car needed attention before heading back home. We found The Wrench Connection through the Napa network, saw they had great reviews, and decided to give them a try. Rick and team lived up to all of the great reviews I read. Having significant car issues several states away is unnerving, but Rick immediately put us at ease, worked us into the schedule, put us in a loaner van (free of charge) to ensure we had transportation to a hotel for the night, called our mechanic in North Carolina to talk through the cars history, and ensured the car was repaired and ready to go the next morning. This was outstanding service, especially to a customer who isnt local. Other things I noticed: the staff took quality seriously, they seemed to respect and enjoyed working for Rick, and the shop is clean and maintained well. Even had some coloring books and crayons ready for my kiddos. If I were a local resident, this place would have my business hands-down.

Took vehicle there after dealer told me it needed new engine.IT took the Wrench Connection FOUR DAYS (six if you include the weekend days) to give me AN ESTIMATE!! FOUR DAYS!!Furthermore, the Wrench Connection’s estimate for engine replacement was over $1000 MORE than dealership estimate (same brand -Jasper.)My experience was nothing like the other “reviews” posted here.Since my brief encounter with the Wrench Connection, I have been bombarded with review requests via email and conventional mail. I love coming to this shop .Every other shop ive been too wasnt the nicest and they spoke to me like i didnt know anything ...when i first came to the wrench connection i met rick thw owner he was very welcoming and informed me of tge problems with my truck and made me feel like my truck was in great hands there . Rick got me in and out in a days time with a heater valve repair. Little pricey but he couldve charged me for an original quote price and that part of the job didnt need to be done so he took it off.I wouldnt have known either way so the extra money is worth the honesty in my book. Would definetly recommend this shop for an honest job. Thanks guys.

I have been taking cars to The Wrench Connection for well over 10 years. Most honest shop I have ever experienced and they take the time to explain things in a way that a non-mechanic can understand. I highly recommend them!

This is the only auto shop you will ever need to go to for the rest of your life. Family owned and with EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I always get accurate estimates ahead of time and the most affordable oil changes I’ve ever had after trying out everywhere before (valvoline, jiffy lube, Walmart...all these places were incredibly overpriced by comparison). Rick is always super nice, treats you like family and explains what’s going on with your car in detail so you understand what’s being done to it and what’s wrong. This is a great place for women to visit too, as I’ve always felt very comfortable and like I’m not being taken advantage of or ripped off.

Rick and the folks at Wrench are honest, knowledgeable and the reason we are able to keep our older cars in tip-top shape. Kudos to these fine people who instill trust and confidence every time.

Ive used the Wrench Connection twice now and am completely satisfied with the work. Rick is very knowledgable and friendly and his mechanics definitely know their stuff. Its so nice to have a place that treats you like a human being and not a number. I will most certainly be back. Thank you!

Rick did service on my Xterra. After picking the truck up and driving home the center cap off of the rear wheel had fallen off. Rick acknowledged that he may not of secured it properly. He voluntarily agreed to replace it. That was over a year and a half ago and several phone calls and emails. Still no center cap. No follow through what so ever!Brought another vehicle to diagnose a problem. Quoted $330 for a fuel pump. Total of $600 with labor. Part can be bought online for $110. Advance Auto sells it for $200.Had a guy install the $110 fuel pump for $150. $260 total vs $600. Get a second opinion!!!!Will not be going back.

I was referred to this Auto mechanic shop upon my first visit I talk with the owner Rick about getting my car fixed he test drove my car to see what the problem was that I was explaining to him he came back and said it is not a big issue but it can be fixed. I schedule a appointment for that following week for him to do a courtesy inspection just to make sure it was exactly what we discussed. I drop my car off he later called to tell me that it was the problem and the price. He quoted me $1125 to put on three motor/ transmission mounts when I got home and discuss it with my husband he was very upset to find out that he was charging me All that money for this service that was half the cost I return the next day and confronted him that I didn’t appreciate how he was getting ready to rip me off for this service. he was trying to charge me $701 for parts when I looked up the parts they didn’t even total out to be $300 please beware he’s very friendly but if you’re getting work done make sure you check the price of the parts first before you let him do any work and also he tried to charge me $47 for (The courtesy inspection) I don’t know if he do all ladies like this but please beware.

Rick and his team did not disappoint! My husband and I went there a few months ago after a rock on the road damaged the transmission of the car. Rick personally explained to us all the damage that was done and what he recommended we do. He had no issues with answering questions and was professional all the way through. He gave us an estimate, and in the end, more money had to be paid because there was internal damage that he was not able to see until his team started working on it, (which he warned us might happen). Now, our car feels like new and we have had no issues whatsoever. Bottom line, if you have a car problem and want it fixed one time and not come back for the same issue ever again, this is the place for you. We will definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, go back to the Wrench Connection for any of our future car needs. It feels great to know a mechanic who doesnt want to rip you off and knows what they are doing.

Rick, Lucy, and their team of mechanics are stand up individuals. The mechanics stood with me and talked with me about my Jeep that I rebuilt myself for 30 minutes! They gave me a head to toe inspection for free (I built the Jeep myself, I wanted to make sure I wasnt going to kill myself), and let me know what i needed done, could do myself, and hold off on until later.Friendly, honest!

I had been a regular customer of Rick Eakins’ for about ten years. Throughout this time Rick was always 100 per cent honest about everything he did for my vehicle. Even with a sterling record of integrity such as this, Rick outdid himself just recently when the transmission on my Dodge Stratus, which he had replaced in October 2014, broke down suddenly near my home in Winter Springs, Florida.My insurance road-side service was limited to 14 miles, so I had the car towed to a nearby auto mechanic shop just two miles away, in Longwood. The gentleman there confirmed my fears: the 19-month-old transmission was wrecked.Then the miracles began. I called Rick’s very polite and professional assistant, Corey, who confirmed that the transmission was still under warranty; he then quickly arranged a tow truck to pick up the vehicle in Longwood and carry it the 20 miles from there to the Wrench Connection. All this was accomplished in just one day, on Wednesday, May 11 2016.Eight days later the transmission was repaired. During those eight days Corey left frequent, status updates on my phone. I was never once motivated to call the company for information.The total cost to me for all services, including the long-distance tow, was $ 0.00.Needless to say, despite the distance, I will continue to trust only Rick and his staff for any future mechanical issues.So, does this service deserve a five-star review, or what?
