I loved everything about this course including the staff!!! Everyone we came in contact with was super nice and helpful. The course was in great shape and was fun to play. Will definitely be traveling back here one day. Thanks for a job well done!! The SE coastal courses in NC could learn a lot from all of the courses we played while staying in the region! I do have to say enjoying lunch off the back porch of clubhouse was amazing considering the view.

Courses have just gone thru green renovations, but are healing nicely! Have lived in this community for 16 years! It is like you are on VACATION EVERYDAY!

Magnolia course is a fantastic layout. I would wait until the greens are resurface to play it though. Pretty bumpy and on the verge of losing them. Now I could play that par 3 course all day long. What a blast our group of 12 had playing that in the afternoon. We will be back.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Even with work being done the courses, Holly and Magnolia are in better than good shape. A great day.

When you go play golf in Pinewild, visit the golf shop. Alan is usually there with a big smile on his face and a welcoming Hello. Love the old logo of the pine cone, not so much the magnolia on the shirts. Nice place to shop or pick up some balls when you thought you had enough. The dining room next door is good too.

Our group of 16 golfers played the Magnolia course on 10/22/2020While I definitely enjoy the layout of the course we all had the same issues with:1) THE STAFF- This is our second time here in the past 4 years and both times the majority of the staff has been as unfriendly as I have ever experienced on our yearly Pinehurst trips (this year our starter was great however). I know this is technically a private club, but cmon, if you are going to let us average joes in to golf, pretend like you are happy we are there.2) THE GREENS- We should have been warned the greens were in such poor condition. I understand that they had some trouble with them this year. There were a few that were in really poor shape, but they had not been cut in days and were completely covered with morning dew for a 9:00 starting tee time. At a minimum, they should have at least been whipped to remove the dew. As it was they were ridiculously slow and darn near un-puttable, even after several hours on the course, it was very frustrating. So be warned, if the greens and customer service are important to your group, steer clear. For a premium priced course we were all very disappointed

If I could give them a zero star, I would have. What a goat track of a golf course. The greens were all dead or burnt out. You think they would have told us about that when we made our tee times especially considering they charge $80 per person.

Golf course was great along with the staff, however I and others in our group got food poisoning from something we ate at the turn house. But the facilities and golf were great. Only reason didnt get 5 stars was because of this instance.

Course was in fabulous condition for being late March and we got a great rate do to what the country is facing, but one thing they dont tell you about this course is you better be able to keep your driver within a 75 foot circle cause the fairways are 50 to 75 yards wide on the holly course and they fall away so if you dont hit a high driver look for a bad day, tight fairways and even though there bent grass greens there hard so you got to have a lofted shot into the greens but enjoy the beauty of this course but for your first round at pinewild try the magnolia course its a little more forgiving and just as spectacular.

Pinewild, rated 4-1/2 stars, is able to boast two excellent championship golf courses, the Magnolia and Holly, as well as a nine-hole par-3 course and a three-hole academy course. Pinewilds very handsome Magnolia course is clearly one that stands shoulder to shoulder with Pinehursts elite. The quality of upkeep, attractiveness of the gently undulating layout and overall facilities are top draw. With many dogwoods and magnolias adding splashes of colour in the spring months, here indeed is one of the classic stars in Pinehursts glittering array of top-quality courses.
