I would like to recognize an outstanding staff member at Physician’s Choice Hearing Solutions, Mr. James Lucas. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him, to help find a solution for my difficult and profound hearing loss. Mr. Lucas was very knowledgeable and professional, in selecting a hearing device, to help compensate for my loss. He was not deterred from doing whatever he could, to find program settings and adjustments, to help improve my hearing. He was very patient and resourceful, in trying various strategies and approaches, to make those devices perform to their maximum capabilities. It was also very helpful to have my spouse there with me, during the programming, to help verify the success of those settings. He is a real hearing loss advocate and an asset to Physician’s Choice Hearing Solutions. I highly respect and recommend his services.
I am glad to write this review after my experiences with James Lucas at Physicians Choice Hearing Solutions Office in Pinellas Park, Florida for the last year. James has proven himself to be not only pleasant to speak with but also professional, knowledgeable, patient, accommodating and helpful. After testing, his recommendation of the brand of hearing aid for my hearing loss has turned out to be really helpful in my case.I was particularly impressed with James when I referred a friend to him with a particular hearing problem for several years. He went out of his way to try and help my friend by going so far as getting an expert in hearing loss problems from out of town involved. This to me reflects a person willing and wanting to help people with hearing loss.
We received post card stating try our hearing aid for 1 week and at the end of the trial receive them for a discounted rate. As my husband suffers with hearing loss we thought what have we got to lose? Buyer BEWARE! This in effect is a scam. There is no discount, the equipment used for testing is very old and at no time was it sterilized while we were there. The scope put into my husbands ear was not cleaned after use. When I questioned about the price after insurance co-pay I was told I didnt know you had insurance. In that case there is no discount the aids are full price. I felt like I was at an old time timeshare sales program. Jim had no response as to why we couldnt get a discount if we had insurance and when I stated I would be calling our insurance co. he all but threatened me with if I did I would be very sorry and they wouldnt cover anything. Very bizarre, very uncomfortable, and office seems to have popped up overnight as business cards belong to people that dont work there, Jim who waited on us didnt have a business card and everything was boxed up. Be very careful. Hearing aids are expensive and Jims looking to steal your money.. Contrary to Jim s rhetoric our medicare plans does cover hearing aids. Jims price $5,700.00. Medicares price $1,150.00. Enough said!!!
