Propane gas specialist. It appears they have been in the business for Decades. They do not deal with natural gas. I have been using the 66th st location to occasionally refill my 30 Lb tanks and also re-certify them. I usually left them overnight and picked them up the next day. The team was professional and pleasant to deal with. I felt they were a little pricey but still reasonable. To re-certify a tank was only $5. I understand they are probably the only ones in the area who can re-certify a propane tank. Will be back!

Horrible experience. Installed an old used and painted over tank in 2014. They had to come out and fix leaks more than once and finally the technician got sick of it and told me to just empty it, then order a tank replacement with the next refill. He even put a note into the system that the tank should be swapped out. So, exactly as Im told, I ordered the tank swap on 09/30/2020 and didnt hear anything for weeks, called and got an appointment for said swap to take place on 10/19/2020, but technician never showed. After calling daily and always being promised a callback that never came, Ferrellgas finally came up with oh, no-no, we just wanted to check the tank and will not be replacing it before 11/3/2020. I was like, forget it, it was you guys who wanted to replace the rust bucket I pay rent for. But if you cant, then just refill the current that was fixed (and held up after the last attempt). But no, now all of the sudden it is a safety hazard and can not be refilled. -I mean really? First you want to send somebody out again to determine if Im even eligible for a good working tank, then you have no problem charging me rent for the failing tank, but no, you cant fill it with gas and Im without it for 5 weeks?...avoid at all costs, there are better options out there.

I had a home generator installed, and propane tank buried. The company said that they’ve had good experiences with Ferrellgas. I did call a few other companies, and received quotes, although their turnaround times were 2-3 weeks later for an initial systems check and fill. Also, I was quoted a couple of hundred dollars more than Ferrellgas, who I ultimately went with. Long story short, they completed the job within 2-3 business days of me first contacting them, and again, the price was very reasonable, so I was quite impressed. I’ll be using them again.

Scam. Over priced. The $5 recertify is something only this place does. Just another way to rip off customers. No other propane place does this. Their propane is at least 30% higher than everywhere else. Avoid them

Traveled and nobody to fill propane tanks. Call the phone number and took over 1/2hour to talk to someone and basically told me it would be quicker to drive over to see if BBQ propane station is opened or not.... I drove by 3 times and always a closed sign on the BBQ propane station

Called their number and was cycled through their automated phone service for 30 minutes and no one ever picked up the phone so I decided to drive to the location on 66st to find the door closed yard gate wide open to where I stood out there for 5 minutes and never seen one person completely disappointed guess they don’t need to sell anything... btw on my way out I see that there’s employees in the front of the business that we’re just watching me from behind the glass completely unprofessional!!!!

After getting nowhere with a competitor, I figured Id try to get a residential propane quote from Ferrellgas. FAIL. I was told Christopher would call me back when I called to inquire, that was two days ago. Im amazed by the lack of customer service. I called Suburban Propane and they at least gave me an appointment with a tech so I can get an estimate.

Chris Coates & Dan Salliotte were wonderful. Long story short my first home with a propane tank, moved in and didnt realize the propane was almost empty. The existing tank was a rental from another company, (they were booked out for 2 weeks and could not fill) Ferrelgass Chris & Dan had me scheduled for a new tank install and tank fill with an install for 3 days out!!! Once they sent in a disconnect order to my existing gas co they called and scheduled me for next day service...I ended up sticking with existing gas co to avoid having to replace the tank etc however if the existing company ever gives me any issues at least I know Ferrelgas is more than willing to help service my home and install necessary equipment in a very timely manner.

If you have gas with some other company, I feel sorry for you! These are the best people ever. They really care about you. They even came out in the hurricane last year and were a tremendous blessing again today. I will never use any other company. Recommend to all your friends! Support your local businesses.

Full of idiots. I spent three weeks going back and forth with them and STILL ended up with no gas.I called Ferrellgas in early May about getting a tank refilled. I am the renter of the house, and my landlord already had Ferrell tanks out back, though they hadnt been filled in a while. Because it had been a while, the representative told me Id need to provide payment information up front. So I did. The tank would be filled the following Monday or Tuesday, she said (that was a Friday), and I would be charged. I went out of town that Tuesday for a little more than a week. When I came back, there was still no gas. When I asked my roommate, she said no one had ever called, even though I had specified earlier that we needed a call before the truck came and provided both my number and my roommates. When I called Ferrellgas, they said the problem was that my tank was not the right one. I responded that of course it was; it says Ferrellgas on the tank. So I asked that they come again the following day. When my roommate got home that day (I was out of town again), there was still no gas. When I called again, I was told my valves were not correct and that I had to authorize someone to change the valves. I said sure, the tanks are old and they probably do have old valves. When I got home again, there was STILL no gas, no changed valves -- and I had never gotten a call from Ferrellgas. So, after three weeks, I called to cancel my order. Only to be told that my order had already been canceled -- without anyone ever speaking a word to me! Needless to say thats fine; I will never ask for anything from this company again.

All of the people Ive dealt with have been very nice. They are either early or on time with the projected time frame of when theyll be out to deliver the gas. The guy who delivered it today had a great attitude and was very kind.

I have been trying to get a proposal for a propane tank installation with piping to my pool heater for two weeks now. The tech already performed the site visit and evaluation on 2/3. I have called several times to follow up and and the overwhelming response is we are so busy, and have been given 3 drop dead dates at which I could expect the proposal. None of these dates were met. I guess I will give my business to Amerigas.

I called Ferrellgas on a Monday to schedule a sight appraisal for a new gas installation. The first thing I was told is that they were so busy they did not know when she could schedule this. Next I was told I would have to pre-pay $49.00 to get someone out to my property, but it would be credited back if I used their service. The person said they would contact the scheduler to see IF she could schedule an appointment. Expecting a call back that day and did not get a reply until Wednesday. If I payed $49.00 now she could send someone this afternoon. This does not sound like the kind of company I would like to rely on.

Called into main office to get a quote for moving gas tank and running copper for rebuild, it was just a terrible experience. The estimators and installers must work off straight commission of the job, because every time we questioned the quote it went up, finally ended up being 1600.00 dollars to move a tank for a tiny mobile home lot. Very disgusted with this shady process. even the installer told my husband that most people go to electric because of the costs of propane gas these days... be careful, do your homework, so you dont get ripped off.

Called at 10:30am for propane tank purge, refill price, and their availability. Price was given, and told they were there until 5pm. I arrived at 1pm and was told they were unable to fill propane today. The removable sandwich board sign out by the road that says we fill propane was still up too! AVOID IF YOU CAN

Had Ferrell Gas install propane for new tankless water heater in St. Pete, FL. Everyone was super friendly and very easy to work with. Just great service working around my ever changing schedule.A special thanks to Steve Loso who did the estimating, rough installation and final installation. A great guy, very customer focused and accomodating and super knowledgeable on the dos and donts. a pleasure to work with and very likeable. He also seemed to be very well respected by the City inspector. All his work passed inspection very easily.I use Ferrell Gas at three different properties because they take care of customers the way we want to be treated.George Zimmer

Pack of crooks that dont care about their customers. Had to eat baloney sandwiches for Christmas dinner thanks to them dropping the ball. Wont let you buy your own tank and have them fill, might as well go to U-Haul or another self-fill place. I will never give them my business again.
