I only had a question for them, I am disabled. However, they were very pleasure to me in answering a question I had. Based on the way they treated me I would recommend them. Today I checked to see if they had a certain item which they did. I paid for it and they put it outside for me because I wasnt able to get there before they closed. They are more accommodating.

Im building a new house in Pitman and Peter Lumber has been an excellent resource. Ive placed large orders of lumber and had them delivered for free within less than an hour. The staff has been friendly and helpful and the lumber is excellent.

Started a remodel job 3 blocks away. Asked for a possibly delivery, response was trucks were all out too busy (salesman Alex). I asked at any time during the day, since it was a few boards of lumber. Nope too busy with an attitude. Hour later drive to yard both trucks were in yard. 2 yard guys doing nothing. Then I get what I feel was an attitude from both yard guys. Been in business for 28 yrs. Theres a location near me in Millville. Always bought materials from them with no problem. I wont be back to this location (pitman) Ill drive an hour to Depot instead

Stopped in this little place in November to buy some high end dimensional lumber. It was my 1st visit and I like to give local businesses my business. Despite standing at an empty counter for literally 15-20 minutes, I was totally ignored by 2 employees not 3 feet away. One guy I can slightly excuse because he was busy doing some calculating after carrying on business over the phone (although I clearly told him I wanted to make a purchase when I first walked in) but the other guy was just texting on his phone like a little schoolgirl...the entire time....giggling and blowing me off like I was invisible. Ill take my purchase someplace else. This is why online retailers are becoming the norm.

Pressure treated materials purchased at this lumber company to build a large deck. Within 8-9 years the presure treated main structure has deteriorated so bad is is not safe to use. Peters will not accept responsibility. The entire deck needs to be demolished.
