The pizza was just ok to be honest BUT the fries were amazing!! Staff is also super friendly and quick. Its definitely worth checking out. A little pricey but I had a pretty overall good experience. If you go get the fries for sure!!!

This place was so cool. Cant really begin to describe why but this was the first time I hung out with one of my now close friends so maybe I’ll always associate this place with good memories. beautifully decorated with art all around the restaurant. Everyone there seemed so happy to be there and the staff was very kind. Food was good too. Feels like an escape from the busy city when you step inside this wonderful place full of good food, conversation, happy people, and a great atmosphere.

Ordered a Detroit style with tater tots and it was one of the best pizzas Ive ever had. I went in the next night for beers and they were also awesome, staff was a lot of fun. Definitely pay these guys a visit.

Honestly, it was horrible. The floors were dirty, the pizza had so much sauce (see pictures below) from one piece of pizza. there was very little toppings that came with it let alone what we added. We will not be back. Will not recommend. I wouldn’t of picked any start but it wouldn’t let me advance. I would give Brandi the bartender/waitress 4 stars but as far as the food and the cleanliness 0 stars.

The Children of the Corn pizza was amazing. They made me a small version of it. I ate 2 pieces because it was soo hot. The hottest food I’ve ever had!!! Great service as well. Will be back for the Children of the Corn again.

Friendly staff, good selection of beer and liquor with a good size menu selection. Reasonable wait time for both food and service. A good social atmosphere with a busy scenery. There are TVs, drawings, awards, dedications, tidbits of charm that make this a break from the same old same old. Its NOT always good to try something new, but in this case, you just might not go wrong. As their claim states 3 times world pizza Champs and best pizza in America.

This place was highly recommend to us. We are in Pittsburgh to drop our child off at college. We order pizza & wings. We love tops & paid the extra ....33.28 for a pizza. Burnt on top with very little toppings.. Wont ever order pizza again. We also order wings, soda & pizza roll which were all amazing.. total bill with tip was $77.81. For pizza & wings.. yes we got ripped off with burnt pizza & very little toppings at a high price. Very disappointed...

Found this place just recently! Amazing food! We always get an order of the pull pork, bacon and cheddar frys. Had the BBQ chicken pan pizza and the pull pork burgers. They dont advertise as a BBQ joint but their pull pork is perfect!

As previous loyal customers to Caliente Bloomfield, disgusting/disappointing does not begin to describe our most recent experience. Our visit started with intoxicated friends of workers walking in/out of the kitchen. An hour later we met the cook who walked out in/out of the kitchen with a cigarette in hand only to provide a poor explanation on why our food was taking so long. Fellow staff only worsened our experience by their clear annoyance as to why we would question cold chicken on a “grilled chicken” salad after such a long wait. Overall we were “compensated” with cheeseless mozzarella sticks and the wrong order of fries. Caliente should maybe reconsider expanding their business until they can find the proper staff to upkeep the “award-winning” pizza/service they claim to have.

I stopped here on a road trip from Philly to Chicago since I read the chef/owner had won several awards for the best pizza in the US. I ordered the pepperoni palooza which was delicious. The restaurant itself is quite humble despite all its awards, it looks just like a regular neighborhood pizza place! A great selections of domestic beers as well.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We dined in and ordered a pizza, salad and mozzarella sticks. We waited an hour for our food before the cook (who was carrying around a cigarette) said the oven was broken and we wouldn’t be able to get our pizza. After that they brought out our salad (not sure why it took an hour to bring that out) and the chicken and fries were cold on the Buffalo chicken salad. Since the oven was broken they couldn’t cook/warm the chicken?As we were leaving they said our mozzarella sticks and fries were ready, again not sure why those would take an hour since there fryer was working, but we took those home and there was no cheese inside the mozzarella sticks.I think one of the weirdest things was that random people were in and out of the kitchen throughout the hour we waited and also seeing multiple pizza orders also being taken out when the oven was broken?I never write reviews but others should know that I’m not sure what is happening at this location.

Love the pizza. This place is the best. They now have a all you can eat wing night. Amazing. You get 10 wings at first. After that they come in sets of 5. It is dine in only. I cannot eat 10 wings so gotta small pizza but i think hubby put away about 32 or so wings lol. They have groupons sometimes as well. I was slightly leary about coming here because I had heard that they were very busy and the service suffered because of it. Luckily, we got right in and had great service! The pizza is of great quality and the buffalo balls (blanking if this is the actual name of them) were a great! Would definitely recommend the supreme!

Ive been wanting to try pizza from here for sooooo long! Only to be let down..I finally ordered a Xlrg pepperoni & sausage pizza for pick up & left a 20% tip. As you can see from the pic they were skimpy with the toppings & little to no sauce. Half of the crust on the pizza was burned. Honestly it was kind of bland. I was very disappointed 😞

First time customer. My delivery was running almost half an hour late and the manager took an attitude with me. I was polite as possible, I was not trying to get a free pizza out of him. Just a refund for a pizza that wouldve been stale by the time it showed up.Heres hoping he actually refunded my card because Im not confident that he will.

My son had a coupon for a free 1 topping pizza. And they told him he had to pay for the chicken but it doesnt say no where on the coupon. That premium toppings were not included. The last time I order chicken from there it was covered in feathers and hair all over it.

I placed an order online several hours ahead of time but my pizza was ready for pickup 15 minutes late. The pizza was cool and undercooked, and I was given a second small pizza instead of the appetizer I ordered. Lastly, the taste of the pizza was nowhere near the quality Im used to with Caliente. Why is the takeout here so bad?

It seemed to be a bother to them to have my business. Had to wait an hr to pick up a cold pizza with no more than 3 pieces of pepperoni on it and a hoagie which said 999 not 12 that I was charged....I assume the banana peppers were extra. I paid $28 to help a business and get good food...if your gonna make me wait an hr at least put it on the oven to keep warm. It was good one time I went in but expensive..after this last order I am no longer a customer😠 not like the pics at all

No reason to hate on Caliente. Other than... its got a Spanish name for straight up American beer, wings and pizza joint. But Im just being picky. They got all kinds of interesting beers to choose from all starting at $6 up to $7.50. They got bottles and cans too ranging from $5 to $12. Good music friendly bar tender. I didnt try any food but I hear its good?

Staff failed to update door dash pick up status, food sat for over an hour before I called, was told I had to contact door dash, then when I was at the restaurant to pick up my food I waited for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant, popped my head in the back to ask for assistance and a pudgy blonde female proceeded to be extremely rude without inquiring as to what I needed.my buffalo chicken hoagie was mediocre. The hoagie bun was dry, dont believe it was toasted. The chicken was cubed, dry and tasted like it was microwaved canned Tyson. Quite frankly Subway would have been a better choice, and subway is terrible.

I get it from time to time, its not the cheapest one nor the best, but it happens to be close to my job.Got an email from Caliente Pizza saying I have a free pizza for my birthday, I was pretty exited for that! I tried adding the coupon from the email in the website, it does not allow me...Then I call them, give my data and the email that received the email. They said: No, we dont have you in the system. Me: Sorry, I have an email from you guys, I can screenshot it or even show it to you when I pick the pizza, but the sender is Caliente Pizza, and the receiver is my personal email. Them: No, we dont have you, it wont work.What were they expecting? For me to order the pizza, show up, try to use the coupon to pay and then them be like: Oh no, you have to pay it now because we dont accept that coupon? Very disappointed...By the way, now that I am checking the reviews, most of the low star reviews are from Local Guides (i.e., real reviews), while quite a lot of the 4-5 stars are from non-local guides (people with very few reviews, so probably just friends of the place?), so yeah, this rating has been boosted from what they should really have.

Pizza is fantastic, beers are reasonably priced, and seriously the pizza is amazing. This is just as much a bar as it is a pizza place. if you are looking for decor and fancy service go elsewhere. If you are looking for spectacular pizza and and a wide selection of beers look no further.

A decent pizza but far from the best. The beer selection is always wonderful and the other foods I have had at other caliente locations have all been great but for 30 dollars I would not order the mee maw again.

The pizza is great, probably some of the best in the city. The rest of the menu isnt on the same level so stick with the pizza. The beer selection is very good and they are constantly having release parties for new beers. The only downside is the small space can make it tough to get in, large groups are going to have a very hard time during peak hours.

Pizza is one of the best Ive tasted in Pittsburgh. The Dough is what makes it!!! Flaky on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside. So delicious. Worth it for fresh pizza.

I tried to support local, but had to order from another palace. Pizza arrived 3 hours later and ice cold. Will not be ordering from them again ever.

Ordered a pizza at 642 pm. Called at 742 to inquire about eta and was told itd be going out on next driver run. That woman was friendly. I called again at 802 asking again and was told itd be going out within next 5-10 minutes. The dude on the phone didnt care. I called again at 818 inquiring again. Apparently it was on the way and left 5 minutes ago (I live close by but couldnt walk there due to having to watch a new dog in the house). Like 8 minutes later Im over it and called again to get a refund. Dude on the phone legit could not care at all. Im not a jerk, i never do reviews like this, Im incredibly patient and was not rude on the phone. But come on... This was like, a super bad customer experience. Noooo thanks.

Half of our order was incorrect and the other half was missing completely. The restaurant would not correct the issue. Avoid this place at all costs. In response to calientes post on this review, we did speak with the manager regarding the issue, they would only refund the parts that were missing, not what was incorrect. Again, avoid this restaurant.

The best carbs youll eat!

It is hard to find good pizza in Lawrenceville. Two times ago when we ordered from here, the pizza was soggy. We tried again because we have had otherwise from here. Last time we ordered, the delivery took an hour and 45 minutes. I called multiple times to check and was told I was the driver is on his way and [I was] the next delivery. We were so hungry, and we could have ordered from somewhere else and had our food in that amount of time if they had just been honest. The pizza finally came and it was burnt on one side. The driver also couldnt find my house, so he called to ask me to come outside and meet him at his car. We were really disappointed with the service, the food and the experience.

The bartender even forgot who we were at one point, asking a friend if he was there for takeout.Theyre currently doing a tap takeover via Stone brewing so if you dont like IPAs, I suggest steering clear for now because the average IBU is way up there right now.The mens bathroom is disgusting but I suppose it is a bar afterall.$5 happy hour personal pizzas were good at least.

Food was sloppily prepared and poorly packaged. Sauce dripping inside the bag and onto all of the food containers. And if youre going to have the nerve to charge money plus tax for condiments, you should at least try to ensure they are in the bag with the order! Where is the blue cheese that is on my ticket!?!

I’ve ordered from calientes in Bloomfield so many times. The food is continuously messed up, and wait times are continuously over an hour and a half. I decided to give the Calientes in Aspinwall a try last night. Let me tell you I woulda been better off ordering from Bloomfield and taking my chances there. They told me 40 min wait for pick up on the phone it took me an hour and 45 min to get my food. I called after an hour and all the girl on the phone was able to tell me was “we are busy I don’t know what to tell you” I’ve worked in service before, and that was the worse thing you could actually tell me.We ordered Buffalo chicken pizza, and it was literally like eating cardboard. When I held the pizza upside down no cheese ran off or nothing it was THE WORST pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. The boneless Buffalo wings had 0 sauce on them I had to put my own on, and the cheesy bread wasn’t very cheesy. I’m so mad I never leave reviews but had to for this one. I will be calling today to management to let them know. No food order of $67 should be this quality. The worst I’ve ever ordered... EVER!

A great place to go if you want to wait for your food to be remade. Look the foods not bad here but half the time (or more) they’re going to screw it up. They’re usually decent about fixing it but you have to wait.Tonight’s screw up is making 2 orders of 20 wings with 1 sauce each despite 1 sauce per 5 wings being specified. Despite this being fine in the past (3 weeks ago) I guess they only do half and half now. Fine but they didn’t even do that. 20 wings 1 randomly selected sauce. They could have called they could have emailed they could have chosen 2. They could have told me on their website.l where I ordered. But they didn’t. The GM’s response? “ I wouldn’t know I don’t use the site.” This place isn’t cheap and is decent when they don’t screw it up but the service doesn’t match the price.They also tried to forget my sauces tonight (which they charge you for!!!) but I knew enough to check before I left. Sure enough they were missing despite trying to tell me they must be in there. Sorry guys you’ve gotten me too many times on that one.They get a star back for fixing it but mistakes happen here 3 out of 4 times I order. Sometimes it’s missing toppings or wrong toppings. Sometimes it’s just forgetting the sauces you paid for.If you order here check your order before you leave and expect they’ll have to fix something on it.

Food showed up very late. Everything was cold. Some of the chicken wings seemed questionably cooked enough. The bbq bourbon wings sauce was watery and garbage. It was like someone poured flavored water over my wings. Absolutely no flavor. I liked the mystery sauce wings but they were cold. My wife’s boneless wings with some sort of seasoning salt on them were cold and just nasty (way too much salt for any human being).Calzone was cold yet burned in corners. Cheese stick bread was ok but could have used more cheese and also was cold.I am sure everything would have been a bit better if they just didn’t forget about our order and it didn’t sit around getting cold ( I think it’s safe to assume this happened).We have ordered several times from this place and seem to always have issues. This is probably the last time.

Honestly from all the places Ive ever had, this place knew exactly what they were doing when deciding topping portion sizes. This was a 10 out of 10! Came in from out of town (cincinnati) and found this place the one night I was in Pittsburgh. Give this place a try!

My family ordered their Italian hoagie, 2 speciality pizzas (that were over priced), a pepperoni pizza, and bread sticks. Everyone I talked to said the pizza/food was amazing.. so I was really excited to try this. Order took more than 50 mins and they said they would bring it to my car; They didn’t bring it out! They said in 7 mins and I went back in after 20 mins to see my order sitting there. Waited in a long line just to get my food. It was lukewarm, breadsticks tasted like normal bread (no seasoning), pizza was meh. The pepperoni was salty and crispy (which I liked). Sauce was unique but didn’t add anything to the pizza. Wasn’t as special as I tonight. Needed more of everything. The Hoagie was very good, though. Seems like everyone hyped me up and then I tried it. Disappointed. Maybe if it was hot it would’ve been worthwhile. 3/5 being generous

Not sure how their food is, but Ive picked up food for uber eats several times and the wait time is always excessive.

We came to get a pizza and some pints on a Wednesday night. After a patron at the bar started harassing us (you know who you are); the bartender Kelly was quick to remove him from the establishment and apologize for his behavior. We were also talked to by another employee who was extremely kind. Apart from that, the Mediterranean pizza and the bacon cheddar jalapeno appetizer was delicious and perfectly cooked. We also had a few drafts and they were also very tasty and well selected and served. All in all good vibes, good food & beer, and good staff!

I ordered from this location today. It was just the 2nd time Ive ever gone here., or any Caliente location for that matter. The 1st time I got a square pizza and wings. Both were excellent. This time the pizza was not cooked enough. It was doughy, not crisp like the last time. Everything else was good. I got a Greek Salad my wife enjoyed and a steak hoagie that was good. Wings were also good, but this pizza they pride themselves on was way off. It wasnt like the place was busy. I placed the order at 1:30 pm.

The Jamaican Jerk seasoned wings were delicious and seasoned fully with tons of flavor. The $11.99 All You Can Eat Wing Special was way worth it. Even the tap lemonade tastes phenomenal. Will be back, well worth the money. Ali was so polite and kind! She knows all the best wing flavors.

I’ve ordered from this location many times and have had both good experiences and bad. Their food very usually arrives lukewarm at best several hours after ordering. It’s a busy location so I don’t complain.However, tonight: my driver called me to tell me he was “outside my place” but “couldn’t find me outside”. I should be “waiting on my porch”. This was more than thirty minutes outside my delivery window, there’s no tracker, there was no previous call to alert me he was on his way. I went outside while he talked. Can’t find him. He’s driving around and telling me I need to come out to the street, so I do. He’s now telling me I didn’t provide the right address. I’ve ordered from this same location probably 20 times, never once had a problem. He’s raising his voice about not being able to find me. I give him directions to get to my place, he continues yelling that this isn’t the address provided (my address is confirmed on the bottom of the receipt!!!)I stand IN THE ROAD and wave to get his attention and he’s too busy talking to another person who’s outside. I walk up my street and meet him at his window at the opposite end of my street. He has no mask or gloves or any protective equipment on at all. He chastises me for not walking up to meet him in the first place - I didn’t know he was there! He was rude, unsafe, clearly not paying attention to what he was doing.On top of all of the other bad experiences this just seals it.Edit: I was still mad so I called and they assured me they would address it.

They forgot the Italian dressing on my Italian sub. Thats what brings the flavors of the sandwich together. Its integral. Bummer of a sandwich experience. Wont likely risk take-out again.

The food is great and they have specials all week. The big issue is service. You can’t take advantage of all you can eat wings unless you clear your whole Sunday schedule. I’ve been to this location 4 times and every time it’s taken way too long for drinks, food, and bills to get brought to the table. Really hope they can turn it around because the food is exceptional and location is very convenient for me.

Excellent pizza every time ive been here over the last 6+ years since i first tried it, but the best yet is the Grandma pies. Thicker pizza than normal but not as thick as detroit style.. so good. Perfect dough and crust crispiness, flavor. Not too much cheese which i like. So many places drown their pizza in cheese for no reason. Crispy pepperoni.Also the garlic parm wings are amazing.Thank you to whoever is coming up with the recipes for and making these pizzas!
