I had an order that was difficult to fill but Tammy was very helpful in keeping me updated with thr status and her communications with the vendor. She called me every day to let me know what was going on with my order and was very helpful in getting it fulfilled.

I had to order from the campus bookstore because it participated with my financial aid.During the pandemic, I ordered, with plenty of time before term started, and my order never came in time. I could not reach them by phone, ever, and trying by email was hopeless. Half of my order was suddenly cancelled and reordering them just delayed my order even further. When I went into the store to collect one of the books that became available, the associate was unable to provide me with further information regarding the rest of my order. Not having my textbooks on time, even when I ordered them early, has been frustrating and disheartening.

Charged my account 258$ without warning or contacting me. after they were closed and not open for returns during the pandemic. Have had to call three times regarding a refund now and the manager was rude. Garbage facility, get your books on amazon

Tried purchasing a monthly bus pass, and they sold it to me. 1 hour later I found out I couldnt use it because the guy who sold it to me didnt know I was too late in the month to purchase it for the following month. Cant find the receipt, they said they cant do anything for me. $98. Gone. Never answer the phone EVER so dont bother trying to call them. Other than that, its been okay.

Im beyond upset. After ordering my book a week ago with no confirmation email, I finally got someone on the phone and I was told I have to go to mechanicsburgh, pa just to get the book I need. I am beyond furious. I was never even contacted about the status of my order. I cannot stand this bookstore.

If I could give this store 0 stars... I would. the associates at this store have no idea what theyre doing. you could have the most simple order and they would still manage to mess it up somehow. I needed books and got the wrong one, which I understood. however I was not prepared for the nightmare that would ensue returning it. staff and manager extremely unprofessional and nasty attitude towards polite customers for no reason... over simple return. the manager escalates the situation by yelling at you over the phone and the associates will laugh and act childish as you are trying to return something, as if theyre taking it personally. try online or any other ccac bookstore before coming here.

Go to Boyce campus bookstore, if you can. The people there are so much nicer! Returning anything at the Allegheny bookstore is such a headache and will anger you for no reason.

Tammy the manager is the most rude and disrespectful store manager that I have ever talked to absolutely no social skills and will yell at you for asking very simple questions. The associates have no idea what they are doing probably because of poor management. If you can avoid it NEVER COME HERE!

Never received my digital credentials for the Intro to Music book I rented and I needed it for class ASAP. Im highly upset. Its as if they took my money and ran with it.Update: So, I went in person to the bookstore to tell them I still didn’t receive my digital credentials. The associate told me I could either rent the book in person, which was more expensive than getting it digitally or I could wait until they processed my order because they were ‘backed up’. I told them never mind and I’ll wait on my order instead. Well, today (a few days after seeing them in person) I received an email saying my order was cancelled because ‘the item or color is not in stock’. Assuming they never had it this entire time, why even claim its availablity on the site is beyond me. I hope the money is refunded in my account and I’ve tried calling twice with no avail—no one answered as all the other comments pointed out. I never been so angry before at such an unprofessional place.

***Something else has happened since I wrote the review. I ordered a planner from the bookstore to ship to my house. After a week, I received an email that said the order was cancelled because they didnt have the color I chose in stock..so I figured I would just stop in the store before my night class to see what options I had...Got there..there were probably 10 of the one I chose sitting right on the table..yet my order was cancelled because they didnt have it..This place is laughable. IF you want anything from them..you have to go in person. Web orders are timely and inefficient and you cannot speak to them on phone. Save yourself the headache and just go in person.This store disappoints anytime I have to deal with them. Ordered a book online to be picked up in store..didn’t hear anything for a few days, so I called..and called..and called. Nobody ever answers the phone. Finally, I drove down and the book isn’t even in stock.this happened last semester too. So I emailed back to my order confirmation and said please cancel this order as you do not even have it in stock..to which I actually did receive a reply that said yes we do...I WAS JUST IN THE STORE AND TOLD YOU DIDNT ...it is exhausting to deal with them. Do not order from them online. Half the the time the stuff doesn’t ship, and you cannot get a hold of them for status. It’s very frustrating to order stuff you need for school and not get any communication back from them..I will say the staff (which I’m guessing are students) that they have working are always friendly and helpful..but the overall daily operation of this place is laughable.

Worst bookstore alive ordered books online did not receive any of them if I could order all my books from south campus that would be great because Allegheny doesn’t answer emails calls anything screws up every order and doesn’t send any orders out

The middle age woman running that place was more rude to me than anyone Ive encountered in the past year. When I went to return my books she had trouble working her computer so out of sheer laziness and bad attitude told me that Id Have better luck selling them back on Amazon. Even though Im standing right there at the desk with the 60 lbs worth of books I had to lug around all day. It was hard to belive that anyone would do that. She was rude when I bought them as well, but this was uncalled for and infuriating. Why work at a college bookstore if you seem to despise college kids?

Make sure you know what day your books/supplies will be in...they run out very quickly and if the books are out of stock, go onlike,find the price on the website and go in with a payment for everything you need and pre-order it. That way youre guaranteed to get what you need

Not one single member of the faculty knows what theyre doing. Renting textbooks is literally a nightmare; they got the wrong textbooks for me on two separate occasions, told me wrong information about store hours and their return policies, and did not have the correct textbooks in stock. The only reason why I gave them 1 star is because giving them 0 stars is impossible.In short, avoid this store at all costs, and dont buy your books from here unless absolutely necessary.

I had a class that required a textbook that was available online via ebook or at the CCAC Allegheny Campus Bookstore. Since I take my classes online I decided to just make the drive over (if the book was available) because its easier to work on my PC and have the book in my other hand. The Allegheny Campus is at a very unconveint distance. I called an abundance of times and days to the bookstore to make sure the book was available. After consistent ringing and no answers (on all days that I called) I decided to look online to check for the availability. The website said In-Stock which brought me to assume the book was available in the store. To my surprise no book was In-Stock. I took the hour drive back home.Im only really angry about the bookstore not answering my phone calls. I was told by friends how well-known they were for their lack of answering but I never thought it was this bad. The campus is beautiful but Ill be sure to find another way of getting a hold of a book thats only available at the Allegheny bookstore.

Worse customer service ever, cant call and if you go to the store you are treated like youre bothering the very people who are hired to assist you. CCAC needs to fire the entire staff and hire people who want to be there.
