Been going to Kards for years. Great location for cards / fun small gifts for any occasion. I do feel that their books are a bit pricey, but being a local shop on a *very* expensive street its not anything you can blame them for. Awesome selection, very friendly staff, and definitely a Walnut Street staple as far as businesses go. Highly recommended.

Great gift shop. Theres something for just about everyone here! Funny items, socks, cards, books, figurines, games, puzzles, baby books, comics, pride flags, pins, shirts, and more! It is a little cramped so you would likely have trouble if youre in a wheelchair or have toddlers.

Best card store in the Burgh! Dont know what gift to give someone? Start here. If you dont find something you will know what you want. And the cards ... they have the one youre looking for. Go across the street to the variety store too. Between the two places even the hardest person to get gifts for is covered.

This place rules. Fun cards, everything you can imagine! this is NOT A HALLMARK store, they have good blanks, irreverent, wholesome, etc. I struggle to find good cards and this place fills that need. They also have great books and puzzles and i love it. Go there for a need or go there to kill 20 minutes. Just go there.

This store is fantastic. I could go broke in this place. Theres something for everyone! Fair warning, there are some adult-themed items in view for little ones.

This store is a hidden gem! Anytime I need a unique or special card, I know that I can find one here. They have a huge selection of cards for every occasion. They also have a great selection of books and gifts. I love going to Kards Unlimited and browsing around. I always find something that I love! The staff is always friendly and helpful as well. I like spending my money in small businesses as opposed to big chain stores. If you feel the same, then this place is also the store for you! During a recent visit I was pleased to learn that the staff is doing what they need to do to keep everyone safe. They kindly remind everyone to wear a mask in the store, and even have some available if you have forgotten yours! Great job 👏🏻

I love this store! Their card selection is phenomenal and its a bit like the Tardis - you dont know how big it is until you get inside. Everyone always has such a positive energy in there and they seem to really care about their employees and customers safety. I really appreciate that theyre offering pick up and delivery now for those of us who arent ready to go back into stores or cant because of health reasons.

A solid bookstore with a large collection of new books for purchase and plenty of fun knick knacks and t-shirts!I do have to complain about the choice to have an entire section at the ENTRANCE of the store dedicated to some particularly NSFW and anatomically graphic items used during bachelorette parties - if you catch my drift.If they want to sell these items, more power to them, but putting them right at the entrance of the store, next to childrens toys seems like a pretty monumental oversight.This store is quite large and has plenty of room to put next to other gag gifts, so I just do not understand why it is one of the first things you see while entering a book/ card store of all things.Anyways, its a neat store with fun stuff to check out- its just kind of bothered me that it isnt appropriate for children upon walking in.

Cards, books, jewelry, T-shirt’s, posters and trinkets all lining the walls of this eccentric, inclusive, loving environment. I have bought gifts for every member of my family from this store. It is precisely the business that makes Pittsburgh wonderful.

This is an amazing local book shop. It has a wide variety of books ranging from fiction to nonfiction. You can also find some fun cards and knick-knacks. Its located on Walnut street, a nice downtown area of Shadyside. It adds a lot of personality to the street!

I meant to post this a few weeks ago when I bought a puzzle from them over the phone and they did free, same-day-delivery. Just a bunch of angels with incredible customer service, a thoughtfully curated selection of books, and amazing community-focused adaptations to the pandemic.

Went to look for a place to buy a birthday card for my aunt while out of town, came upon this place. Sadly they are photographing people who choose to exercise the optional mask policy that is in place in Allegheny county. Shame on you for this conduct.

Superb broad selection of quaint personalized gifts and memorabilia. Nested in the hip District of shadyside, this book store has all kinds of really cool titles and special gifts you can get for that special someone. You might get lost in time perusing through different book titles, cards and other fun gifts.

I ordered a puzzle during COVID19 shut down. Karma Unlimited Staff picked up the phone right away. I got the puzzle within 3 days even though I was halfway across the country. Really glad I thought of them - they’ve got a great selection of puzzles for a very reasonable price.

I love this store! They carry quite a large variety of interesting merchandise. They have a large variety of books, cards, candles, and lots of odds and ends knickknacks and souvenirs. It’s definitely worth checking out.

The sheer magnitude of the variety of items in here is astounding and its one of the most unique places Ive ever been to. Literally anyone can come in and find something quirky or cute or interesting that they like. The store is a bit crowdef because of all the cool things in it, but that just adds to its individuality. Its a great place to let your inner child run free.

Kards Unlimited has a lot of great books, funny greeting cards, and other novelty gifts. I get a lot of presents here every Christmas. They have nice signs with recommendations for different books so its easy to find something new you will love as well! Ive joined their book club too and have a lot of fun here! Very charming, and worth buying in person rather than off Amazon.

There is a great variety of items from comical to fandom style available for gifting. There are not any good Pittsburgh themed cards, however funny and cute ones are abundant. You can find things from cool kids toys/gadgets, star wars gifts, and a decent selection of popular books. gold star for having candy during halloween week

I love this store but last time I went there I got an attitude from the person ringing up my order. I am not sure why, I dont think I was being rude, I was just trying to be friendly and start a conversation about my item I was purchasing. When you spend $5 on a single card I wouldnt expect a snotty attitude given to me.I get its Shadysides Walnut street people look at my school tuition as pocket cash and stuff but I literally wasnt doing anything wrong or annoying. I LITERALLY WORK AS A CASHIER. I am hoping though, that the employee was just having a rough day and that next time I need a gift I will have a good experience.

This place is great for all sorts of things. The funniest birthday cards youll ever find, funny books, and various other gift ideas for that friend that you know you can joke around with. Just dont try to walk in with a backpack, you can barely fit through some of the aisles without one.

If you want something unique or happen to wait until the last minute to get gifts and cards, this is the place to go. When I was going to a wedding I thought about how so many of the guests would probably get greeting cards at places like Target, and I did not want to give a repeat card, so I went to Kards Unlimited. While I was there I also found beautiful wrapping paper and ribbon. Is it the cheapest place? No. But the items I got were unique and beautiful; exactly what I wanted. Also, a lot of their gift items are funny! so you get to laugh while you shop!

My favorite store in Shadyside! It has gag toys, books, comics, cards, t-shirts, and any other item you might imagine in a hipster shop. I can spend quite a long time looking at all the cool little trinkets.

A fun shop with TONS of really great things inside. I would have spent hours in the store alone but we were there for a specific reason and had to leave. I will be making my way back there soon!
