Get yourself some new soles for those worn out hiking boots. Northway Shoes did a great job on the boots shown and at a competitive price. The picture of the boots is just after wearing them to shovel snow, had great traction. Northway Shoes is a treasure!

There repairs arent as good as it used to be. I took a pair of shoe in to get repaired. A month later they were falling apart. Went back in they charged me to repair again and told me that they cant get wet. I wore them in the rain.

Great service, quick turnaround. Ive used Northway many times to get protective soles put on my shoes and boots, and every time its been exceptional. Not the cheapest out there, but Im especially impressed with their attention to detail and thoroughness. Definitely worth it to keep my nice footwear lasting for a long time.

Northway Shoes and Repair is a wonderful community resource. I love good shoes - and also am very hard on them. I am regularly in need of new soles, heels, and other shoe repairs. When I recently purchased a pair of Italian AGL shoes, the customer service person who sold them to me told me to have them maintained at Northway Shoes and Repair because of their skill and experience with good shoes. I went here on that recommendation and am so happy that I did. I recently lost one of the ankle straps on a pair of AGL dress shoes. The shoes could not be worn without the straps. I took the shoes to Northway Shoes and Repair and they created two new matching ankle straps that work and look well so that the shoes can once again be worn. I have also had heels and soles repaired (they offer full leather as well as synthetic soles - based on the wearers preference) and the work has been expertly done and has held up to wear. I highly recommend Northway Shoes and Repair. The people with whom I have interacted have all been polite and kind as well.

This place is great. The guy at the counter was super helpful and showed me all the options for putting new soles on a pair of wing tip shoes. My shoes arent top of the line, but it was still cheaper to get them fixed than buy a new pair. They turned out great and the soles arent as loud now, so I may like them even better than brand new. The turn around time was excellent.

The woman working the counter here was exceptionally helpful. After running through my previous pair of boots, I had a bunch of questions about longevity, my boot preferences, style, and my budget. She was really attentive and detailed in assisting me, and patiently worked with me to find a boot that fit my needs. Im still putting my budget together but I just wanted to say thank you!

My name is Patrick Rizzo not tom for the record.I’ve always wanted a pair of cowboy boots..finally was able to afford the expense so I stopped in to this business to order a pair. I have a challenge because my foot is super wide. Ordered a pair of boots they came in and I couldn’t get my foot in them. Was offered to have the boots stretched to see if they could fit before they were sent back.. boots were stretched and still a no go.. the people at the store could see how badly I wanted these boots and wanted them to work. The one gentleman suggested installing zippers on the sides of the boots so I agreed. After 4 trips to the store 3 stretching sessions on the boots and a pair of zippers and leather installed to help my foot get in the boot due to my wide size and large instep I finally have my boots that I’ve always wantedThe people at this store are very nice and passionate about what they do and without all their help I wouldn’t have my boots. They went above and beyond for me and I’m grateful for them. I plan on giving them more business in the near future!!Don’t think about checking this store out, DO IT you won’t be sorry!!!!!!

The straps across the instep on my Frye boots tore, so I took them in last Saturday to see if they could repair the straps — I didn’t care if it was pretty, I just didn’t want to have to break in another pair of Fryes! The girl at the front desk said they would probably recommend replacing the straps, which I didn’t even realize was possible. On Monday they called to let me know it would be $20 to mend the straps or $40 to replace them, and they would be done on Saturday. I decided to have them replaced and picked them up today — they look fantastic! I’m so happy I can wear my boots again, and I’d recommend anyone check them out.

I have had boots, leather sandals, and a leather wallet repaired here. I have been impressed. Its not cheap, but the work is excellent quality and the Italian repairman has called me before starting a job to explain what he was doing and how much it would cost. I appreciated knowing details and costs up front. I am satisfied and will keep going back.

I am absolutely disappointed! I am not sure why they consider themselves a shoe repair when the girl does not listen only wants to SELL new boots! I have a pair of leather boots I have owned for well over 20 years. I only wanted the heels re-done at this time because I am learning to ride a motorcycle and wanted to wait till after to have the whole sole done. The girl wouldn’t listen to me at all. She just kept telling me “he won’t do it! He would replace everything and it would be over $80. So buy new boots!” She is a fine example of why mom & pop stores no longer exist! I miss Otto’s in Aspinwall they took care of these boots for decades from me only doing what I needed knowing I always came back! If she wasn’t so ignorant I would have eventually paid $300 to have these boots done properly. Number one I am not part of the throw away generation and more importantly I was born with unique feet and “buying new boots” that fit properly and don’t cause pain is extremely difficult for me! They are absolutely not a good repair service only a new dealer!

I heard great things about this place and felt confident I could trust them with a very important nostalgic leather piece. The owner seemed very competent and knowledgeable when I told him what I needed done (I was very specific). When I got it back it looked like it was “fixed” by middle school home ec student. TERRIBLE workmanship. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was an exceptional hack job. Very disappointing.

These guys did an incredible job with resoling a pair of high end Opening Ceremony boots for my wife. The soles were 10x better than the ones the shoes came with and yet maintained the original color and style! Look as good as new now. Cant say enough good things about these guys and gals and will take all future repairs to them. Very friendly, helpful, and talented!

Ive been visiting them for shoe repair for a number of years. The quality of their work is second to none (theyve worked miracles!) and the prices are very reasonable. Most recently Ive been purchasing shoes and other items (clothing, outerwear) from them.

Ive been coming to them for about 25 years. Now I take my sons there. Ive bought several shoes and then get them resoled there. The leather soles and rubber heals they put on seem to last longer that the original manufacture. Now I see they expanded their store size and caring some nice heavy-duty work clothing and jackets. Its nice to have a great service like this in the area.

The help was great. Answered all question and gave great recommendations. Little pricy but worth it.

Excellent selection of work boots and clothing. I didnt have much for expectations from the outside but that changed once I was indoors. Its not all about safety boots though; their selection of work related clothing (e.g. flame retardant shirts and pants) is what I was struck by. They also have anything and everything related to taking care of your shoes. I may have to go back for a nice pair of fuzzy slippers I saw...

The Italian man behind the desk was amazing!!! I had a client dinner that was taking place tonight and I broke the strap to my heel. I was in despair and had to get my shoe fixed right away the dinner was hours away!!! I was referred to Northway Shoe and Repair by a friend. I called and He said to bring in the shoe in but he could not guarantee fixing the issue without looking at it first. I went ahead and drove to their place. He said let me see what I can do. Within 20 minutes he came out with my heel and it was FIXED!!! He came out with a smile and said Happy Dancing Great Customer Service to take me right away knowing he was pressed for time with other shoe repairs when I was in such need was kindness at its best! These guys have taken care of me every time I needed shoes and Im ready for a new pair and I mover to new Brighton pa and I will be making the trip for a pair of work boots from these guys. Also they are very courteous and knowledgeable of the shoes they sell. Bought a pair of boots there about 2 months ago. They started to have extreme wear and tear issues looking like I had them for years, not months. The eye hookes where loose and falling out, the sole on the bottom was coming unglued. All issues I didnt expect in 2 months. I took the shoes in and without any issues I was given credit for a new pair of shoes. I was highly surprised they agreed the boots looked like they had defects and would give me a full credit for new boots. I highly recommend going here.
