It’s hard to find a place that can make a copy of 2D artwork that’s both HD and color-accurate. This is the best quality printing I’ve seen yet. Very affordable too!

This is the one, far and away. I’ve been getting film developed for years and never have I had my pictures looks so incredibly good, or a faster turnaround time. I wish I’d come here sooner, genuinely blown away.

Quick in-and-out to drop off some film. Shop and staff were nice. Color Film came back in a day or two (My B&W film is taking longer, but thats okay). They have plenty of gear, and even as a casual hobbyist photographer, I felt like a kid in a candy shop.I was a little bit disappointed with the scan quality. The standard scan was a 1471x980 JPEG, which is lower than I hoped for. I know theres an option for higher quality scans, but ~1000DPI is lower than I expected for the standard quality.

Received old redone photos of my wife and daughter in special moments that just came out spectacular and brought back many wonderful memories and put a smile on this old mans face. As a former Quality Assurance Executive it is nice to see that some businesses still provide phenomenal service and the utmost high quality to every detail. Special thanks to Nick for all is help and meticulous detail in providing this product to us. I will always bring my special 1 of a kind sentimental projects to premier imaging. 😬👌

Moved to Pittsburgh after living in NY and NJ most of my adult life. As such, I have shopped with B&H, Adorama in person and other heavy hitters in the Photographic world. A few months ago, I accepted a VP position here in Cranberry and decided to splurge a bit on my bucket list camera outfit which was a little over $10,000. Nick at the Ross location made it such a pleasurable and fun experience. He was personable and professional and conducted himself in such a manner that truly transcended any experience I had at the other shops. Ive since attended classes and purchased more lenses and other equipment. Trust me, you wont regret a second of dealing with this store. They are truly fantastic and bring a human element to the table that you just wont find anywhere else.

This is a great store, with such helpful staff and great services. It’s so hard to find places today to get film and have it developed and I’m happy that this is a one stop shop for so many things. They have a great camera selection and many other services, we had photo books made and also had a picture printed on metal and it turned out amazing. If you love photography, this is a great place to check out. Thanks for all of your help, we will be back!

I just wanted to comment on the STELLAR service I received from this shop. I dropped off over 18 rolls of film two weeks before the holiday and asked if it were at all possible to develop them and deliver scans to be by Christmas. Today I got the call that they completed the order. I just had a chance to sit down and look over the scans and I have to say that I am IMPRESSED. Ive tried the other local options and just havent been happy with the service, quality and turn around time. If I am going to have to wait two weeks for a single roll of film, why bother right? Premier has really met and exceeded my expectations. Let me also note that two of the rolls were black and white and one was actually Ektachrome and they still beat my deadline. They kept their word and provided me with beautiful negatives and scans. I used to really miss the days of living in Manhattan and then LA as film processing services are more abundant. Its also been quite some time since my work was in a magazine or gallery but now I can safely say that I am worried no more if the need arises I know where to take my business. Happy Holidays to the staff at Premier and THANK YOU for the wonderful work youve done for me!

Just wanted to share my experience at this shop as I cant simply recommend them enough. Expert service and truly honest and caring individuals. I brought in a couple rolls of film which they handled with utmost care and provided me stunning prints of as well as two restorations where the photos we mangled and unidentifiable. I would like to call out Nick at the Ross Park location as he handled the restorations and restored them to their former glory, I would actually say even better than they were originally to be honest. Wow, thank you so much! I will be back!!!

Do not waist your time dealing with this small box store, after talking to 3 different people about buying an item we had an agreement to purchase, but because it’s no communication or structure the item was sold... don’t bother just go to a big box store like Best Buy... these people will be out of business in 5 years so all warranties will be voided trust me....

Great place for all types of photography. I love that they have a variety of film and processing available. They even carry specialty artistic films. I found the oddball lens cap I needed, saw great vintage equipment, and had a nice discussion about vintage Soviet lenses. Definitely a place to check out

Really upsetting experience. After driving about an hour bc of the great reviews, to get my grandfathers film developed. He died too soon for me to know him and this was the last thing of his and almost a century old, meaning the film needs to be treated with care. Philipp, I’m assuming the owner based off his dominating nature towards his very kind coworkers, spoke to me as if I was inconveniencing him as he pulled out the film in front of me saying it’s too old to develop there and tugged on the end bit of film. I was horrified because this is the ONLY thing salvaged from his passing decades ago. When I told him to be careful, he remarked snarky comments back encouraging me to go elsewhere. I asked for a container and he threw back a nasty comment and walked away. I never write reviews, but being in the film industry working with producers every day in Atlanta, I thought I’d bring this to light so people and other professionals don’t experience what I did. I’ll have to let my film coworkers in Pittsburgh be aware of my experience so their more delicate film won’t be damaged.

Im glad that I finally found a store that still process films in house, which means affordable price and ultra fast turnaround. However I did find the color of my prints a little odd - everything looked somehow reddish. Its possible that I got lemons. Would like to hear more reviews before I decide whether to go back for another try.

In the last fifty years there were some really outstanding photo labs in the Pittsburgh area, all of which I used regularly—The Darkroom and Sukolsky-Brunelle (Downtown), Photo Reproductions (Springdale), and Ritz Photo (Northway Mall). Ten years ago, they all had disappeared; it was a great loss. Then Premier Imaging opened up in the old Ritz location (before moving to their current home on McKnight Road), and it was like a gift out of the blue.Premier Imaging is easily among the all-time best labs in the Pittsburgh area (they have a second lab in Monroeville too). Much of my work entails using their recently upgraded computers that allow personal input on my slr’s digital prints (4” x 6”); I also have printed enlargements from the same machines. They have been quite willing to work with me on my desired results, whether sharp and vivid landscapes or soft and subtle atmospherics or just snaps of family and friends.. Their services extend far beyond my current needs, but I listen to the staff working with other customers, courteous and sharing of their love of photography. They work well with a diverse range of customers, from novices to old pros who love to chat about the trade.Their business also includes buying/selling used equipment as well as new gear. They can order new cameras at good prices. They have a portrait studio (passport photos included), as well as photo mounting/framing services. It’s a pleasure and joy to visit with them.

This is the last place left in the burgh for REAL SILVER PRINTS! I was a little scared after reading some of the reviews on google, but decided to give them a try at their North Hills location. I was pleasantly surprised! All the negative reviewers probably dont know to ask for NO CORRECTIONS on their prints. This is how its always been with any photo lab! If you dont ask for no corrections ALL LABS will give you prints that have wayyy to much contrast and sure even a red tint... No corrections from this lab netted me photos that look the way I shot them! Sounds like they deal with a lot of amateurs who dont know what to ask for, and thats a shame! Thank you Premier Staff for my great prints!

Since their move this place has really impressed me. Being one of the last shops processing film, there isnt much choice when choosing who to give my business. Let me say that prior to their move (they used to be located in the old Northway mall) they really dropped the ball on at least production timeframe. I shoot at least 10 rolls a month and need a quick turnaround with TOP QUALITY results. They no longer disappoint. Ive gotten back a dozen+ of the best looking negs Ive got in years, with prints to match. (Please dont drop silver halide processing!)Thanks and keep up the GREAT work!

Went there to get high-res scans of 35mm slides. The staff was friendly, they delivered on a quick turnaround time, and the quality was excellent.

Review №35

I like the staff but I recently got a bad scan job. 50 scanned jpegs from a 35mm and a 120 roll sum up to 3MB on the CD; at this resolution I would call them thumbnails. Scans are full of dust, some frames are cropped off at an edge probably while cutting the roll into segments, some have visible ghosting from sprocket holes. Develop yes, scan no.

Ordered about 50 small photos. Got a call the next day saying their printing machine was broken but theyll let me know when it is fixed and the photos are printed. No problem. 2 weeks go by with no call. Finally, I call them and ask if the photos are ready. I get a whoops, yes theyre ready, we just forgot to call you. Go in to pick them up. The two working the front desk comment how it took me a while to come pick up the photos. I told them I was waiting for a call from them and never got one. Instead of some sort of apology, the two laugh and say yeah, thats something we would probably forget to do. Hilarious. Some of the printed photos are also darker than the source image, which we were not happy about. Should have just gone to CVS.
