Fantastic to work with right off the bat, and easily got a sense of what I was looking for.Went to Surmesur originally looking for a new pair of work pants (or two) at the recommendation of a colleague in the wedding industry (now that weddings were starting to pick up again). Came out with a fantastic two-piece suit, plus backup pants.In fact, a few of the grooms we have the pleasure of working with recently also have amazing suits from Cassaundra and the team. I have bought suits shirts pants and jackets from this place and I was in on Saturday and yes they had a few people in the store so I could not go in totally understand but the sales person came out and I told him what I was looking forHe brought me some samples out of which I chose to samples and asked him if he could email me a quote or call me so I can order the jacket today being Tuesday I found them and to my biggest surprise they told me to be honest we never give anybody any quotes wow so how am I supposed to know what this jacket is going to cost you lost a very good customer

For that Savile Row experience and product, without the heavy price tag, you will not find a better partner.Surmesur is not Indochino, they are in a higher league at a truly negligible extra cost. Their suits are an investments that everyone can afford. Barring a specific exclusive fabric, I will find it very hard to justify buying an Armani or Brioni suit now.

The suit arrived in time, as per Zacharys estimation. The fabric quality was high, and the made-to-measure experience is absolutely outstanding. I cant go back to dress clothing off-the-rack. I needed to fly to Toronto for the event the following day, and the tailor and Zachary worked past closing time to get the job done! They really went above and beyond. I have made multiple orders at Surmesur in Yaletown, and I have always been pleased with their service and product. The team always greets me with a smile and remembers me. Sougata in particular, has personally helped me with tailoring and color/fabric options that have resulted in shirts/pants that lead to many compliments from my colleagues at work. I got a dress shirt fitted by Manuel and my experience was excellent. Friendly service and extremely conscientious. The final product was a beautiful, custom shirt that fits perfectly. I decided to order another one in a different fabric and Manuel re-measured me to a looser fit so that the coarser fabric wouldnt irritate my skin. Throughout the whole thing, he made helpful suggestions for things like the style of the collar or the color of the buttons and he always respected my decisions. It was good to have someone with great fashion sense gently guide me to my own style.

Darren was brilliant, 15 mins to measure up and choose fabrics. I ordered two shirts, and they are the best fitting shirts Ive ever had. This is coming from someone who could never do up the top button without choking to death, always splitting the forearm seams and could never find a store-bought shirt long enough. Horrible customer service. Initial meeting before my purchase was good and staff were overall friendly. However after purchase service was horrible. My order was ready two and a half weeks after when they promised it would be done, with NO follow up contact to me if I have never initiated calling them myself. I went to the store the day it was supposed to arrive just to be told that the order never came and I should come back another time, even when I called the day before to make sure of the arrival. I had to call the store everyday (for a total of two weeks) to check for updates and they always said the same thing it will come tomorrow. I asked for a refund for my purchase because I was in a desperate rush to find an outfit for my own wedding (which at that time was 4 days away), and they were starting to sound like the boy who cried wolf. Went to the store/called multiple times for this matter and nobody took us seriously and treated us rudely without any respect; a disrespectful employee (I only remember one name, Darren) were freely talking back to me and making negative remarks when we were complaining to the store manager of the whole situation. However, the store manager, Jonathan, who in the end said if I were you I would be happy and grateful that the tux came on time made me realize that the store management for customer service were never present at Surmesur. All and all, I succeeded to push for the refund and it was processed. But the experience overall got very negative and I honestly do not quite understand how their google reviews are so stellar. I do not recommend anyone to get their suits tailored here.

I recently had four custom shirts made at Surmesur. The shirts turned out great, and I was really happy with the experience at Surmesur compared to some of the other made-to-measure services I have used in the past. The store is well run by Kelvin, who helped get me fitted, and, in general, the team at Surmesur is very helpful. I interacted with Johnny and Zach who are both great guys. I would recommend checking out this store if youre looking for custom clothing, especially given the huge variety of fabrics they have available.

Excellent customer service. Over the first 45 min appointment we went through fabrics, cuts, buttons, embroidery, and measurements. Less than 4 weeks latter the suit was ready for a fitting (the estimate was 4-6 weeks). The first fitting was excellent, with only a few minor shirt modifications required while the suit itself was ready to take home. All told the time investment was < 2 hrs total and the end product is excellent. I both recommend them, and the store manager Kelvin Lopes, and also plan to use their services again.
I went to Surmesur to have a custom tux made for my wedding. Kelvin was amazing! He made the whole process super quick and efficient but didnt skip any details. Surmesur has completely levelled up my wardrobe. I have heard horror stories from other made to measure companies, but dealing with Surmesur was an absolute pleasure. They took the time to listen to my needs and were able to execute everything they promised. Bought my wedding attire here with my party -originally referred by another vendor Im using. Service and quality more than expected, just a bit of a hassle for parking. This place is fantastic. Jonathan has helped me customize a number of suits and shirts. I gave him Artistic control and the suits are amazing. They have various price points, but I went with a higher end cloth (read more expensive) and dont regret it for a moment. The first suit they tweaked, then they tweaked again until it sat perfectly. After that every pair of pants or jacket has fit perfectly. I have received complements on my suits from total strangers. I dont know if it is the fit or the cloth, but I really cant say enough good things about Surmesur. I have become a big fan.

Recently purchased a suit from Surmesur and I think, bang for your buck, it is has to be one of the best suit shops in the city: quality materials; staff was knowledgeable and quick to point out options based on their fact-finding. Also, and to me this is important, did not feel pressured into enhancing some of the aspects of the suit, like lining, etc. There were two gentlemen that assisted, Sugatta (probably spelling this wrong) as well as Darren who pointed me in the direction that made most sense based on my current wardrobe! If I happened to looking between Indochino and Surmesur, I think Surmesur is a no-brainer based on price and quality.

Kelvin is not only a fantastic stylist, but he makes sure he fits you to the best suit possible without selling you. Like many of the other comments here. I was blown away by the efficiency and professionalism of the staff at Surmesur. I can’t compare with other custom tailor as this was my first but I don’t see any other reason to try somewhere else.

I came to Surmesur for my first made-to-measure suit from a friend’s recommendation. Kelvin was my style consultant and made the process easy from beginning to end. It was clear he was experienced and knew what he was talking about. I was amazed by how much customization you can make to your suit - from the patterns, buttons, suit lining, etc.It took just over a month to receive my garments. The quality of the suit was great. Kelvin made a few adjustments here and there and then the fit was perfect. I wore mine to a wedding the following week.Everyone seems to be talking about Indochino recently, but in my opinion, they’re overrated and the quality and customer service isn’t even comparable to Surmesur.

Kelvin was extremely helpful in helping me find my first shirts from surmesur. I walked in feeling a bit out of place with my ill fitting shirt but they were happy to help me out, explaining a lot of the terms and what they meant. I got my shirt earlier than the quoted time in the email. I was so happy with how they fit, I ordered another shirt when I went to pick up my first shirts.
These guys did everything right. My suit for my wedding and custom shirt, were amazing. I look like a GQ cover model in all my wedding shots. Staff were awesome, Zach and Johnny especially catered to my style needs, they took care of everything, will definitely be getting more fittings from them in the future. Tailor Don nailed my custom shirt, it looks goooood.
Surmesur in Vancouver has a fantastic selection of fabrics for their custom suits.I enjoyed the process of customizing my made to fit suit, and it arrived on time. Some minor adjustments were made after my first fitting and the suit was ready again in just a couple of days. This suit is a wonderful addition to my collection, and I look forward to returning again for another suit, and maybea few shirts.
We had a great experience so far Sougata was really attentive and helpful. Im getting my final fitting in a few months right before my wedding but the service has been great and the suit looks awesome.
