My boyfriend and I visited this location since we had some errands to run. Upon walking in the location is definitely bigger than the one downtown. I liked the layout of the floor. The staff was really friendly. Our food portion was bigger than what we got downtown, which we both loved. Will most definitely be visiting this location more often.Also a few people complained that the chicken was burnt...it wasnt.
I delivered a load down the street from here. I walked down with my daughter and was very impressed by the food. Our server was super nice and stayed checking on us. We sat outside and people watched and ate. I had chicken and waffles without the pecan stuff. My daughter had an omlete, bacon and potatoes. The potatoes were different colors. The portions were a good size and price. Next time Im there I will definitely be going back!
I had the straw-banana crepes. They were delicious and just the right amount of food. I sat out at a sidewalk table and it was wonderful. The weather was perfect to sit out and visit. Please make sure to go inside and see the hostess for outdoor seating as tables are limited. Very good breakfast.
Let me start off by saying that this is the second time Ive eat here, and both times the food has been delicious and the staff has been very nice.However, Im forced to give the company a one-star because of todays experience.A friend of mine and I both ordered omelets. She eats a kosher diet and ordered the mushroom omelet, but discovered a piece of bacon hiding under a tomato after accidentally biting into it. I had the vegetarian omelet but found a piece of plastic bag in the middle of it.The manager did come out to check on us, and did have the kitchen remake them. However, we were charged full price. How do you charge someone full price for a meal where for one person spiritual damage was created, and for the other a choking hazard was served. We didnt get the wrong order, they served us pork and plastic.Ive worked in the restaurant industry, and that would have definitely been a free meal. I certainly hope that they comp the next persons meal if this happens again. Perhaps a one-star review will remind them how dangerous it is to be reckless with peoples food.Update: They replied asking me to email them to rectify the experience. I did, and there was no response. Keeping them at 1 star. =o(

Concept and menu are cool, it is a little pricey. They are very short-staffed right now, which means the waffles come to the table no longer crispy and the lattes/teas are lukewarm. Id recommend waiting until the labor shortage is done to eat here.
It’s so good, my friend Sarah and I came for brunch about 11:30 on a Wednesday they were pretty diverse and the crowd was decent. Josh our server was awesome he made sure our accommodations were met with friendly customer service, not to mention the compliments. Thanks Josh. And the whole team @waffelsincaffeniated
Usually the staff is unorganized but I always come back because the food is so good. Today with Josh as our server, we were seated promptly, greeted with water, and our order was taken quickly and correctly! Thanks for making our experience so enjoyable today!
Food is very good. Service is some of the worst Ive ever had. Last time we went we waited 20 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes to get our drinks, and left after waiting 30 minutes to order food to no avail. Unless youre prepared to be here for a long time, go elsewhere
To be honest... the latte was my favorite part. Would highly recommend. I got the strawberry banana waffle crepes and that was also super delicious. Everyone in my party loved their meals. Cant go wrong here!

Good food, but service was very slow. Not sure if thats normal or it was just an off day. Waffles were very light and fluffy and delicious. Worth a stop, but bank on some extra time there.
Went back and Dylan was very unprofessional and didnt warm my coffee or refresh water. We waited for ever to get waited on. Then dude came to us and asked us to pay bill before we got out food. Asked to speak to management and he was extremely rude and didnt care about our service and blamed it on being short staffed instead of trying to correct the problem, nor did he apologize
A few weeks ago, I made my first trip to Waffles, INCaffeinated. For a first interview, I like to meet prospective employees at a casual dining place and this time I was going to be in South Side. Not many places (especially places that arent bars) have been open, so I was limited in options. I am so glad that I made the choice to stop here! I was able to be seated immediately. For full disclosure, I let my server know that in addition to brunch, I was having a couple of candidates meet me there and if that was something that wouldnt be allowed, there are no hard feelings. Just let me know. If my memory is serving me well, I believe that my server was Dylan and he was fantastic. He said that it was no problem at all. Dylan was very attentive and sweet. I had an omelet and it was wonderful. I loved that it was served with a variety of potatoes for a more flavorful twist. Next time I need to try the waffles :)

I came here with my husband and a few church members this past Sunday. We have heard about this place but have never came. Im glad we came because their omelette and potatoes are amazing! My friends had the waffles and they said its one of the best waffles they have ever eaten. The menu offers many selections, and their sandwich and omlette meals are pretty affordable ($7 to $10 for amazing food is a good deal).
Chris was so nice..he went above and beyond..if hes not working i wont be back...sike..i will be back..good 1st exsperience!!!
Our server Emily was really really nice!We ordered their waffle lattee which arrived Luke warm. We then ordered a hazelnut lattee which came out a bit warmer but also had cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Maybe I missed it on the menu but does a hazelnut lattee need cinnamon sugar? It does not go well and didnt end up drinking it.Our breakfasts: He: bc breakfast and 1/2 waffle She: breakfast tacos and 1/2 waffle with blue berries and blueberry drizzle on side.When our meal arrived we asked for butter. They brought us liquid butter, the kind some restaurants give you to dip your crab/lobster meat in. We asked about pat or whipped butter to which she said it was in the freezer/fridge rock hard. Who eats waffles without butter?? For a waffle place this seems like basic common sense to have out and ready to serve with the waffles. In addition, I would recommend the restaurant warm their waffle drizzle. Didnt like the ice cold drizzle on my warm waffle although this was not a deal breaker....His bacon and potatoes were all deep fried. Bacon deep fried not unusual but breakfast potatoes deep fried didnt seem to make sense.The upside: Our server was wonderful, the scrambled eggs were cooked perfect and the breakfast tacos were good.Total meal $50. Overall, we wont be back.
So good. There was a bit of a wait but worth it. Coffee was great, waffles too. They were moving g customers in and out quickly. Enjoyed it a lot!
These place is just plain awesome. Great food. I mean really delicious food! And great service. And the prices are crazy. Its busy especially on the weekends. But so worth the wait. Go during the week; youll stay an hour!!!
The food at this place is pretty good. But that’s assuming you can get a table. This place is almost always packed, even on like a Wednesday. I would’ve given this place a 5 star had it not been for the sloweeeww food service. 20+ minuets is just too long. Perhaps time to invest in an more efficient kitchen?
Delicious food and good coffee! They can get quite busy with long waits for a table during peak times. The menu provides many options - will keep me coming back to try different things many times! They make their own Bourbon Maple Syrup which is absolutely yummy. So far Ive tried a couple of different waffles and an omelet - all of which were fabulous.
I went there a Saturday morning. When I got there around 10:20AM, it was near empty but within the hour it became packed. The four stars is because of the long waits. It was 18min to get a table (in the empty place), another 20min to order, and a whole 50 minutes for the food to arrive. The only thing that arrived on time was the bill.Other than that, the food tasted and was presented very nicely. Just expect a wait!!
Great food, terrible management. I called 7 times to place an order for take out with no response, checked online and it listed they were offering take out so I went down in person to place the order. I waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told they actually arent offering take out and that I would have to sit down to place an order. I usually love this place but this was a pretty souring experience to be sure.
Went on a Sunday for brunch. Everything was good, although a little pricey. $11 for half a waffle with two eggs and two smallish chicken tenders.. My husband got a whole waffle with a pile of chicken for the same price, so I dont really understand their pricing. Food for the two of us took about 40min to come out, which was okay because we were just enjoying our Sunday. Wouldnt come here in a hurry, though.
Done with this place. It’s damn near impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone. Can’t make a reservation, can’t order takeout. The 3 stars are for the two times I’ve managed to get food from here.
I went here a few months ago with a friend for brunch and greatly enjoyed my experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, we were able to get a table outside and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this place for a brunch spot, or whenever you’re craving some good diner food.
Im not a breakfast person. Stumbled upon this place on morning urban bike ride. Menu looked so good thay I decided to gwt two meals; funky monkey waffles and veggie omelet. Nailed it! Finished both and will definitely be going back when visiting Pittsburgh.
Got there, the waitress was on the phone. As I was asking her for help, she greets me saying “what’s up,” like I’m one of her friends. Never looking up, as I asked help with the menu. Then after giving me some answers I was ready to order she ups and leaves. Hope this girl learns proper customer service because that wasn’t it. At all.
Worst experience ever. The food took 45 minutes to arrive and the waitress came out and said the waffle was burnt and they are making a new one.The waitress spilt several drinks behind me on the floor and the drinks spashed on the back of my shirt and never apologized.My waffle came with peanut butter on it and I had ordered a waffle with butter. The waitress said it would be another 30 minute wait.I understand mistakes happen, but the waitress never apologized for spilling drinks on the back of my shirt or for ordering the wrong waffle.

Waited an hour when we were told we would only wait 30-45 minutes. Sat down and I asked if they had any specials and the waitress went to get the specials menu that had two or three items on it (she should have known it) when she handed me the menu she remarked “oh good I have other things to do” as she walked away although my boyfriend and I already knew what we wanted. She never came back for at least 15 minutes or more so I went to get the hostess to take our order. We got our food and never once saw the waitress again until we had to find her to get the bill. We ordered 2 waffles that were semi warm and could have been made at home. I will not be returning for over priced waffles that I could have made at home and horrible/rude service.
I will start by saying to do enjoy this place. However, I feel its a more dessert/breakfast than a traditional breakfast, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Its also a bit on the pricey side, but the waffles were very good. I wouldnt go here for anything but waffles. I also got the French toast and it tasted more like a softer waffle than a French toast. The latte we had was also really high quality and delicious.
First time there. Soto had waffles also had a regular breakfast. Shared breakfast with friends and family and we had couple hours to talk reminisce very good

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants before the pandemic and I dont know if our bad experience was a fluke, or if ghe restaurant is going downhill. My boyfriend and I made a special trip out for the first time in over a year. I thought I lucked out when the wait was much lower than normal, but I should have realized that it was a sign that something was off, since the place used to be consistently packed. We received a combination of bad food and bad service. My boyfriends waffle was cold and the egg was overcooked. I got the Benny (which was my favorite dish) but the yolk from the poached egg was hard. I also ordered 2 sides which the server forgot and blamed it on the kitchen - Maybe the kitchen forgot to make it, but our server was mostly MIA, and I had to ask multiple times for lemon with my water. I got the sides after I asked if they could take it off the bill instead, which they did, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. Sadly, I dont think well be trying to eat there again anytime soon.
Efficient friendly service, excellent breakfast (better than Pamelas!) and South Side parking. Enjoy tasty food but check that parking meter!Take your time and peruse the unique breakfast menu selection. The server is knowledgeable and willing to go through the many menu choices. Who knew there were so many ways to enjoy waffles?
I stopped ordering from this place because of the overall service given. I usually call in early or noon to place an order and I never get a hold until after 2-3 unanswered calls. When the phone is answered it sounds like the some of the staff doesnt want to be there. The wait times no matter if you order in store or over the phone is never accurate, they tell you 25 minutes when it ends up being 45 minutes plus. I will say the food has been good, its the customer service thats been lacking recently and Id rather eat somewhere else.
During my time in Pittsburgh, Ive yet to find a good restaurant. This one was awful from the start. I asked for a table of 3, and the receptionist cut me off mid-sentence, looking at me only to flash an absolutely hostile look, to direct me to the seating hostess. The hostess was dismissive & rude in informing me about the wait time. I do not recommend this place to Women, and given the demographics of my party (LGBTQ & diverse), I highly recommend you avoid this place unless youre white Pennsylvanian & conservative.
The food here is good. Every time we come there is a service issue though. This time we were quoted 10-15 minutes for a pick up order. 40+ minutes later we left with our order. I would have been fine waiting that long had I been told a somewhat accurate time frame. Normally I’m patient and understanding with the restaurant industry, but consistent issues are deal breakers when there is nothing done to correct them.
I had a build your own vegan waffle with candied pecans and banana. Really cute place with great food and coffee. They have build your own waffles, crepes and omelets among other options. They have a ton of topping options. Also vegan, gluten free and soy free options! They also had soy milk for coffee. Also, they have house made syrup. Highly recommend the vanilla.
Waffles and omelette was great. Not overpriced for what you get. Would make the hour drive again for it.

It was my first experience at waffles incaffinated. Once seated it took a little bit to get our order in (it was busy) but once we did it came out very shortly after. Hot, yummy, and fresh. Lizzie was our server and was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Beyond helpful and made the wait worth it.
Awesome staff- the girl that helped us went over and above to answer my questions. I have food allergies (milk, wheat, and pork) and this place has waffles I can actually eat. Super yummy!

Normally this place is amazing but we went this morning and it was PACKED. Way to many people and all sat to close together. It was dirty and cluttered as well. I will not be going to this location again.
Eventually good food, if you like waffles!I ordered the Country Benedict, fried chicken on waffles with gravy. An hour later, I even got to eat some, and it was nearly worth the wait. The staff wanted it off due to business, but it was a quiet Monday morning with less than half occupancy.Would not recommend for travelers, or those with a schedule to keep.

Horrible customer service, never answer the phone, get the order wrong every time. They tell you 20 minutes when ordering which turns into at least 50-60 mins +. With the staff some are nice and others just catch an attitude make the whole process 10x more difficult. Food is decent, but not worth the hassle of ordering, rather eat somewhere else.
First time visiting and everything I bought down to the coffee was amazing! Lots of vegan options. A little pricey, but worth it. Definitely would go again to treat myself!

Service was awful, and the food didnt make up for that. The place was not packed or anything close to it. I went on a Monday morning. After sitting for 30 minutes without water or a menu, we had to flag down a waiter. Then we ordered and still waited an hour to get our waffles. I ordered a coffee that was about 50% syrup and 50% coffee, not very good. In the end we ended up getting the coffees we ordered taken off of our bills. Everyone around us had something taken off of their bills, so I feel like their awful service is a hindrance to their business. I wont be back.
We love this place everytime we get a chance to come. Its pretty crowded and loud, if you come during their late morning rush but the food is always good. Weve found that 9am is a safe time and its pretty chill then. I like to mix my own waffle and my husband enjoys their savory options. They have good coffee, too, though mine was a little on the luke warm side last time. The servers are always friendly and helpful. Its a great place for breakfast. This place is surprisingly kid friendly! They have laminated place mats and washable crayons, which is the coolest thing Ive ever seen. We brought our twin toddlers and they loved it, and the staff was so good with them!

This is my go-to place to take out-of-towners! I frequent all the Waffles Incaffeinated locations, but south side is by far my favorite. The specials are excellent, and the wait staff are so accommodating and helpful. Our server today, Nikki, was bright and cheery on a gloomy Pittsburgh day. She really made our friends stop by Pittsburgh special, and helped us forget, if just for a moment, these difficult times.
The food is delicious but the service is terribly slow.

Im not a breakfast person but my wife is. Finding a good brunch place where she can get her breakfast fix and I get something like a lunch burger or sandwich is sometimes a chore.We tried out Waffles INCaffeinated and it. was. GREAT.We both eat vegan so we got their vegan waffles and did the build your own which were awesome.We flavored them up with pico, avocado and roasted tomatoes. Paired with the vegan waffles it was so good. Ive never had vegan waffles before so I was a little hesitant about them but damn, they were on point. 👌Like I said Im not a breakfast person but Id gladly go back any time!
Came to visit from cleveland very good food slow service but probably due to the pandemic so limited seating chicken and waffle was great but the home fries are mixed with sweet potato fries good but different and u should offer a choice to have all regular home fries if u want them but overall a nice place
I loved the waffles, airy & delicious! I usually have a few bites of a waffle, but I ate the whole thing. The eggs, sausage, cute multi-colored potatoes, and even the fresh fruit were exceptional. The bacon - some of the best weve had. Service was super friendly, from the hostess to our server. Great way to start the day - thank you Waffles Inc. 💘
Best Breakfast I can remember! (And I have more memories than I should). Fresh, fast, clean & terrific service. Server, Chelsea, was as perfect as the meal! Cook was in command and turned out meal after meal with perfection and obvious pride!
Well worth the wait (40 minutes)! Veggie omelette and blueberry French Toast were Delicious! Not to mention my mom’s Country sandwich, which I helped her eat! It was our first time there and made a pact that Waffles Inc, was our designated breakfast spot!😍
