These guys have really been amazing! I was working with a very tight schedule to get my laptop fixed before leaving town. They were comprehensive in what needed to be done and got it done quickly. They even gave me a loaner laptop to use to study while they worked on mine. They are very friendly and it was a pleasure working with them. I highly recommend using their services!

David & Nick are great! They recently helped me get my new Wireless Printer hooked up in my home. It was a new printer in a new apartment we moved to that we could not get hooked to the Wifi. It took Nick just a few minutes for something we struggled with. He cleaned it up while he was here too. We will continue to use these guys as they are awesome. If youve got computer troubles, get yourself (and your PC) down to Aquilis Computers on Babcock Blvd in the North Hills. My daughters laptop PC was having a series of issues, to the point that it eventually shut down and could not be restarted. We called (Asus) customer service, but the (overseas) rep we spoke with could not help us get it up and running. Incredibly, the Asus rep actually directed us to Aquilis based on our ZIP. Anyway, the gentleman there took possession of the laptop and said hed call us after working on it a bit. Sure enough, in less than 90 minutes, he got the laptop back up and running again. To boot, he only charged us for the Easy Fix repair. Amazing!!! Ill definitely return here if I ever have PC troubles again - no doubt. EXCELLENT service.

Friendly and courteous staff, and reasonable prices. My computer needed a near full overhaul, but it was much cheaper to get it fixed here, then to go out and buy a new device. They kept me updated at what was wrong with my laptop and what they needed / were going to do to it. Id recommend this place.

They took care of my sons laptop hard drive issue quickly and efficiently. They communicated with me constantly during the 2 days it took them to fix the issue. Very friendly staff and even gave me some food suggestions! This Houstonian was super satisfied!

I built my own PC and managed to bend a pin on the CPU in the process. Called this shop and brought it in the same day and they were able to bend it back on the spot. Didnt even charge me! Will definitely be back in the future.

I got both my motherboard (because of ticking issues) and touch screen (lines on the screen) fixed on my laptop. The touch screen after being repaired worked fine and I’ve had no issues. However, after about 2 weeks the ticking issues that were supposed to be fixed with the instillation of the motherboard came back. I have contacted Aquilis via email 3 times to try to get my computer fixed (attachments of the problem included) with no response. Motherboard repairs are not cheap especially when the issue reappears after 2 weeks so yes I have a problem. They were fast and friendly while they had my computer but after I got my laptop back with the same issues they decided to go ghost, at least send me my money back because obviously the laptop isn’t fixed. I paid 300+ for my motherboard to be replaced so I have every right to be writing this review. I have been trying to contact them since March, I will take my laptop elsewhere to fix the issues that they couldn’t

Brought my custom PC to Nick to have him sort a boot issue. He solved the problem for me and was also able to get a very fast warranty on my power supply, which was not performing at 100%. Very happy with the service and his responsiveness. 10/10 would recommend.

Nick is incredible! He is super kind and incredibly hardworking. After getting in touch with him he met me near my home 30 minutes later and took my mac and got to work on it very quickly. He stayed up late some nights to send me updates and fix my computer. The price for his service is incredible and I feel silly for ever bringing my mac to an apple store before his. He took the time to show me the part that he replaced in my laptop and went over the details of my repairs with me. I fully recommend his services for any computer need that you have.

I built a system myself, but it just couldnt boot up. The error code on the mobo showed it was the problem of the CPU. It would be terrible if the CPU was dead, because it was a used one bought from eBay and I had to argue with the seller... Luckily I found Nick who just took out everything, cleaned and put everything back carefully, then everything began to work! It seems like he has magic, but I know its his experience.

I didnt experienced good service or quality of work at this place. They installed a wrong mother board at my computer (cheaper) as one that they charged was not comparable with my computer. They never told me that part was different until I noticed myself in the computer settings! The worker told that he will call and is going to give me back the difference but he never did. I would not believe all reviews and would not recommend it!reply on the owner`s comment: Thank you for your reply. Just to specify, I went to 2315 Babcock Blvd location. Im not going to `fight` for the difference between mother board that was put in my computer and the one that I was charged as according to the employee he might return me the difference around 20-30 dollars . However, he was going to contact the distributor first.... and never called me back. I was upset that something different was install to my computer and i was not first notified. Just so you know I called multiple times and drove to this location to check on the status as well. The hard drive on my computer went kaput on a Saturday night. Sunday morning I did a google search on computer repair people and Aquilis - North Hills/Pittsburgh popped up. I typed my problem in and within 15 minutes I got a reply and they said that they would come out to the house that day. I thought that was a typo but they were dead serious. I scheduled the appointment and Nick showed up right on time. He diagnosed the problem and took my computer with him to work on it in the shop. One week later, he brought the computer back to me and set it up in my home. It is better than it ever was. He took the time to set up all my programs and explain to me what he repaired and how to navigate some of the new programs he installed. If you are going to have to go through the agony of a hard drive crash, Nick is definitely the person that you want to call to ease your pain. He is extremely knowledgeable and his prices are very straightforward and more than fair - and - if you are a computer idiot like me, he is very patient! Dont hesitate to call these people for any and all of your computer needs!

Fantastic service! Most computer places will strictly work with software and will be unreasonable with their turn around times. Aquilis does both software AND hardware issues. Nick is a very knowledgeable computer and IT guy so he will figure out your issue and advise what the best course of action would be fairly quickly. Absolutely amazing place! I got a new hard drive put in about a year ago here. Yesterday they basically saved my wifes job when my windows crashed due to an update. I brought in my laptop an hour before they closed and they extracted the file my wife needed for a project shes been working on for work and emailed it to her right then and there. Will always take my stuff here!

PC wouldnt boot after a dreaded Windows 10 update. They fixed it and installed a new solid state hard drive all for a fair price. Hopefully I wont need to return, but would not hesitate to if something else happens.

Dropped off after calling to make an appointment. I bought new components for my current build, but was unable to turn my system on.It cost $25 just for the diagnosis. It took a few weeks, mainly because I dropped it off right next to a vacation... Which was probably planned.They found the problem, which was one of the components wasnt seated all the way.Typing this review on the computer they diagnosed and corrected.

Aquilis did a great job with the data recovery from a dead hard drive. They were professional and did a great job describing to me what they were going to do with the laptop and maintained consistent communication with me about their progress. I had my data back within 24 hours of dropping it off. No problems at all. They were the cheapest price for the service on top of it all. I hope I’ve learned my lesson to always back up my data, but if not I know that I’m coming back to Aquilis.

I walked in with a laptop with water all over the motherboard, wouldnt turn on at all. I walked out an hour later with the same laptop, functioning perfectly. Great Service. Great People. Affordable and fast! We have had a very slow running computer and we were having issues getting our E-Mails and Facebook. We dealt with it for awhile and then a close friend of mine recommended us to Aquilis. They came out to the house and were very fast. We got our memory upgraded to speed up our computer and Nick was very friendly and easy to work with. Before he left, he made sure everything was working and that I understood how to do everything right.

He came to the house, was very professional and knowledgeable, and got the job done to perfection. They knock money off your bill for positive reviews fyi. I had a horrible experience with them from holding my computer over extra days to avoiding phone calls. They did the repairs required but got glue or something on my keyboard and also the side of my screen they replaced is not sealed properly and you can see the gap. They also lost the dongle to my mouse for several days. They are capable of repairs and know their stuff but lack professionalism. I would not recommend them.

Took my desktop here after ubreakifix and geek squad werent able to fix it. Chuck kept in touch with me every step of the way making sure to get it set up exactly how I wanted and within a day he had it up and running. Was really impressed with both the customer service and low prices.

Staff is friendly enough, and has a decently quick turnaround, but they do not return messages. My computer came back to me with the same symptoms I dropped it off with, despite the fact that they said it was tested after the repair. I left a message after hours explaining this and did not get a callback, nor did the owner ever call me to arrange a weekend pickup like the staff promised he would. I did some research on my own, and there were things they hadnt tried. Id almost rather pay more & wait longer to have a more thorough repair done. Will gladly change my review if this gets resolved.

Aquilis computers is a great IT store. My Lenovo laptop stopped working, wouldnt turn on anymore... took it in and Chuck took care of everything. Turns out it had a bad connector and a bad charger. Got my connector replaced and everything is good to go. I highly recommend Aquilis if your computer goes belly up!

Update: I have my Mothers laptop. Early November I got a call from Courtney telling me it was ready to be picked up. She was friendly and kind and she explained the series of misadventures that lead to the her not getting in touch with me sooner. She even waved the cost of replacing the screen as an apology for how long it took to get the computer back to me. And the computer works perfecly; the new screen looks well-repaired and nothing was out of place.Honestly, were it not for the response to this review, Id probably have completely deleted this and chalked the whole experience up to just a misunderstanding of epic proportions.Original review:My mother took her laptop in for a cracked screen. She paid up-front $100 for the hardware necessary. For months theyve given her the run around about getting her computer back.Oh, it needs a different power cord. Oh, the power cord that was delivered was different from what we ordered, we need to wait for the right one to come in. Oh, there was a death in the family. Oh, there was a wedding, Oh, its at our other location and needs a diagnostic scan, still.No amount of begging, pleading, or cajoling has gotten them to even give us a timeline on when to expect the computer back. Ive made it explicit we dont want them to do any more repairs on the computer; return it in whatever state its currently in.They work by appointment only, and dont answer the phone, so Im forced to leave voicemails that they never return. The last time shed talked to them was when she showed up at their store. Ie, she had to corner them to get them to talk to her at all. At that time she was told that the computer was at the other location and would need a diagnostic scan before being shipped back to the Babcock location.She was not given a timeline and she did not reach any sort of agreement about when she would get back her computer. She was basically just told, again, that shed have to wait and theyd get back to her.Also, yes, my mother did opt into having the power-cord replaced, but at this point and after all of this run-around, I wonder if it really needed a cord replacement. Regardless, replacing the cord shouldnt take four months.All I want is my mothers computer back. Please. Just work with me, Aquilis.

The service price is cheaper than other place in the area.The only minor problem is that this place is easy to miss. They really need a logo or a sign for the store.

Fast turn around! Replaced a dead hard drive in my Dell Laptop after it went bad. My computer was very slow. The tech came to my house and diagnosed it was a bad hard drive. I had my laptop back-up and running like new the next day. It was even delivered back to me and EVERYTHING was back on it! Highly recommend these guys.

Good service, owner fixed computer when I asked about a last minute change.

They fixed my laptop when another place couldnt. My laptop screen stopped working. The UBreak IFix place on McKnight admitted they didnt know what was wrong but an hour later told me my motherboard was dead and the only thing they could do was rescue my hard drive. I wanted a second opinion, so I took it to Aquilis on 2/22. They connected my laptop to an external monitor which showed my computer functioning just fine minus the broken screen. They ordered a new screen, which didnt fix the issue so they kept trying - new screens, new wires, etc. Then they ordered a new motherboard which finally fixed the problem. They kept trying possible solutions and called me with updates where the other place gave up. They called 4/9 to tell me my laptop is ready for pick up. It took so long to fix because they had to order parts, which shipped from China as well as troubleshooting the actual problem.

Aquilis was wonderful to work with; they added some RAM to my MacBook Pro recently. I felt their staff went above and beyond in working on my MBP to make sure all of my applications were re-added to the computer in an OS upgrade and to make sure things were done right, not just done fast. The owner was really helpful from the start and was very transparent about pricing and quality differences between parts and hard drives. To a person who doesnt know much about these things, it was really helpful to have it explained to me in an honest way.They were very communicative and kept me in the loop about the day or two extra it was going to take for them to properly fix my issue and install the extra RAM. Im sure they spent more time than they probably planned in my original quote, and regardless, did not charge me extra and finished the job.My only complaint is I think their storefront could be a little more professional. It isnt very tidy and I dont think it reflects on their business all that well, unfortunately. Paperwork and pizza boxes all over the front counter, that sort of thing. But I was quite happy with their service - and thats really what counts!

My girlfriend needed too work from home and we can only get hot-spot or satellite internet no comcast or dsl.. we needed a land line too hook to her router for work and he worked is magic with our hot-spot and bam it worked and she was able too work from home! Great guy As some too work with!!!!

Will NEVER go back. I had a broken screen and they replaced it no problem. The problem came when my hard drive failed x 2 and they had to replace it. This laptop is 5 years old and I wasnt going to spend the $$ to repair it when I could invest in something new without any issues. They ran diagnostic tests on the laptop and there were NO PROBLEMS before they replaced the screen then the hard drive failed??They had my laptop from 4/26-6/4 without ANY calls to let us know about the progress (we were on vacation for 10 days but when we got back there still was no call from them).When we called to check on the progress they apologized for not getting back to us, apparently they had fired the guy that was working on our laptop and never decided to call us. They wanted to replace the hard drive as it had failed x2 after they had replaced the broken screen. We decided to get it done as we had already paid for 1) replacement screen 2) diagnostic tests (to check for viruses) 3) labor to replace the screenWe JUST picked up my laptop yesterday after starting this process 9 WEEKS AGO! They told us that it was delayed further as one of the guys was in the hospital. They took off a little bit of money for the hassle.Fortunately, we have another laptop and smart phones. Can you imagine not having your laptop for 9 weeks? Ridiculous. Spend your $ anywhere else but here.
