Fresh pastas, tons of cheeses from around the world (including fresh and homemade cheeses), meats, more olive oils than Ive seen in my life, homemade bread, olives, pickled vegetables, flour, vegetables, spices, etc. Anything that you might need to make a delicious Italian meal, you can find here (except for maybe the vino)

Been meaning to check this place out for a while, as a relative in Colorado enjoys the ravioli club subscription. Was delightfully overwhelmed by the meat and cheese selection, as well as the variety of fresh and frozen pastas available (I can recommend the portobello mushroom ravioli from the freezer section). This is a great spot to pick up a few key charcuterie items or ingredients for a whole meal.

Love this place for the cheese, spices and herbs. Though I spend most of my time at the pasta, noodles and imports section which is where I get the most deals and the stuff I need, I must say they do have an impressive cheese collection.The pricing is perfect. The staff is polite and nice . They are always helpful too.

First of all, the cheese department is amazing, great Italian deli meats, home made pastas in the frozen section. Every type of ravioli filling that you could possibly want. Great spices, packaged or in bulk, Italian canned goods galore. Fresh produce and bread. Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable. This place has always been a must for me.

Very glad this shop is open during the shutdown. I was able to pick up bread flour here when it was sold out everywhere else. Really enjoyed the pizza like focaccia bread. Hoping to pick up some of the ravioli, when I have enough time to get it home without it thawing. A must visit shop for anyone who does a serious amount of baking.

My favorite store for getting fresh pasta and they also have tons of olive oil selections that you pour straight out of the barrel. Great place and experience :)

I go to Penn Mac for their bulk olive oil that is self serve from big vats. $24.95 for a big bottle of Italian or Spanish extra virgin olive oil (I prefer the Italian). They have small and large bottles available for filling. During Covid they have a station at the front door with hand sanitizer and gloves and ask that all patrons glove up while in the store. I appreciate this safety effort. There is free parking for Penn Mac customers behind the store along Liberty Avenue but it can be hard to get a spot.

Wonderful products. The man behind the cheese counter knew his products and paired my rosemary ham with 2 delicious imported cheeses. The triple cream, ripe cheese Le Grand Mogol was devoured from the charcuterie platter I made for a party. Later, with the leftovers, I made a sandwich with the rosemary ham and spicy black olives on a toasted, buttered baguette that I will always repeat as my signature sandwich.

Very cool place for some italian groceries. They offer verity of meats, cheese, pasta, dry fruits, olives, flour. Basically you can find everything here for your Italian dinner night. Prices are also reasonable

This place is mind blowing, from the street it doesn’t look all that big but once you go in it seems to go on forever. They had every Italian product you would expect and many you wouldn’t expect in a medium size city like Pittsburgh.The prices on some common products you can find anywhere we’re on the slightly higher end but for unique imported products the prices were well within line.The deli area smelled so good from the wide variety of cheeses and everything was being cut fresh. Because they have such a high level of business you know the deli cuts you are getting are from fresh stock. We got a few containers of olives and they were all very good and easy to get.I highly recommend this place on a Sunday because it’s not as packed and parking is way easier.

Extremely rude staff. Very short attitude. Didn’t wanna help out finding an item. Rude to the child next to us. Such terrible attitude that we set our 3 baskets of mercy down and walked out. Waste of time stopping in.

What a great place and experience! Wow how I wish I had a place like this where I live. Fresh foods, authentic Italian pastas, sauces, bread thay are baked fresh. Lots of unique items to chose from. Fresh olive oils to purchase and pour your own into bottles of your chosing. Fresh meats and cheeses as well. I will not come to Pittsburgh again without coming here.

Some of the best deals on specialty and imported foods in the city, in the heart of the Strip District. Never feels kitschy and touristy like many of the surrounding businesses. Plus theyre just really nice people.

This is the place to go for specialty stuff like awesome cheese, homemade pasta, an assortment of olives, and much more. The store is older and has a lot of character to it. The staff is beyond knowledgeable about the variety of options ( though not always the friendliest). We go every year just for the variety of cheese. If you are in the strip district it is definitely a place to hit.

Its very nice the people here so kind there was a guy at Mcdonald and he was just kind and jolly but umm yeah its a very nice place.

Today was my first time here. I was impressed !!! Dont let the humble outsides fool you. I picked up the best sundried tomatoes, some pelligrino pomegranate water 6 packs (for $5.99 !). Truly an amazing shop. Huge! Great selection of olive oils, pasta, gnocchi, cheeses, etc.

Great Pittsburgh gem. Knowledgeable staff with amazing italian meats, cheeses, pastas, sauces, oils, etc. Find the fresh pasta and frozen pierogis in the room with the cheese counter. Produce section by the registers is always convenient for that one thing that you forget!

The Cheese Monger recommended a great Tillamook cheddar and another really creamy cheese whose name I forgot. But, both were fantastic!! Also picked up dried apricots and pasta. I placed an online order and received it today as promised. Items were packed amazingly well. Jars bubble wrapped and secured. Ham was packed in a cooler and still cold. Bread was bagged and arrived fresh. The bread is delicious. Thank you for the outstanding service.

Visited for the first time today and really fell in love with this Pittsburgh staple. The options they have in the store are unlike anything I have ever seen. You could spend 15 minutes in the pasta section alone. Will definitely have to come back and try more items that you really cant find anywhere else. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food and attempting to cook it. Or if you arent a great cook the pepperoni rolls are fantastic.
