This place is a must if you are in the Strip! Fantastic selection of spirits and super knowledgeable staff. Today we got to do a tasting and it was super fun! The person pouring knew the background of every spirit and made great suggestions for cocktails.

My wife and I were in town from Rochester, NY visiting family and came to the strip district with her cousins. This store was one of the highlights of the trip. The staff was incredible, their knowledge of each sprit was amazing. When walking in the door there was a barrel display with different whiskeys. There was a peanut butter whiskey by Xplorer of Allentown that I wanted to try as I was intrigued, there was no bottle open so the staff found one opened it and commenced with a tasting. Liked it so much we bought 2 bottles, who knew. I would definitely recommend this as a must stop when in the area.

A really nice place to get Pennsylvania made liquors. It was open for samples when I was there. The staff is knowledgeable about the products. Love to see places embracing local crafts (booze). The prices are reasonable too considering much of the booze if from smaller distilleries.

Stopped in a couple of weekends ago with my wife and kids and had a wiskey tasting,Dana was very knowledgeable about the whiskey and very pleasant and helpful.I ended up purchasing a bottle of Half-town it was very good.So you need to stop in and check out the place you wont be disappointed.

I would have given a 4 star rating however, I ordered the Pink Gin and am very disappointed. Gin is one of my favorite spirits and I found this product offensive to my palette. The description definitely did not match the flavor profile. It tastes nothing like gin. Upon opening the bottle, I smelled a tequila fragrance (but not a favorable tequila). Upon tasting it, I could not swallow it. It tasted like cheap tequila and I dumped my drink down the sink. For the high price, I would expect a better product. Very disappointed and would not recommended.

My experience started walking through the doors of this establishment I was greeted with a smile and asked if I needed any help. The employee then walked me around almost like it was a tour but with alcohol made here in PA and they are very knowledgeable on their product. The atmosphere here is fantastic and I would definitely recommend to friends and family. One of the best parts is it is all try before you buy so you dont end up with something you dont like.

Being a big fan of gin, this store had a huge assortment. Many, if not all, distilled in PA. Great staff. We bought four bottles of various spirits and the prices were very competitive. Cant wait to go back again.

Went down for the first time, I can honestly say Ive never had a better experience. The employees all seem nice, I never tried a hand crafted liquior before today and its just amazing!!! I bought the Forefathers number 5 Pink Jin ...gives off an amazing aroma, with a great taste to finish😊 very satisfied, thanks Pennsylvania libations.

As usual Dana and Danielle were awesome. Their knowledge of their products was amazing and their patience in explaining things was great. This place is definitely a must stop when visiting the Strip District. Definitely a highlight each trip we make there!

I was done with the LCB online access so I went local. I ordered after hours and at noon the next day I was called to tell me my order will be there in twenty minutes! The rum was delivered and it was delicious. I will be a regular customer 👍

Best liquor store in Pitt. They only have local liquors with a great selection of different liquors from various local distilleries.The staff are very knowledgeable and will walk you through each bottle as they prepare a sample for you. Sample as much as youd like to find the perfect bottle.

A truly unique store in all of Pennsylvania. Each spirit in the store is distilled within Pennsylvania. You can easily find what you are looking for. The one side of the store has your typical state store layout where all of the gins are together, all of the rums are together, etc...the other side of the store has each spirit grouped by the individual distillery which I really enjoy. It makes for a fun time of learning about spirits you may otherwise may never have seen or given a second look at the state stores. Staff is friendly and allows you to sample the spirits (with proper identification of course). Next time you are in the Strip District, stop in and see the large selection. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!!

Found these great people online during the crisis since Gov Wolf closed all the state liquor stores. Now Im glad he did because the Standard Vanilla Vodka I picked up curbside is the best VV Ive had which includes all the name brands. And its made right here in Western PA! Glad to give my biz to local distilleries. Gonna do a tasting of some other products there as well. Ill be a regular here. So long State Stores! You folks at PA Libations rock!

They have a huge selection of alcohol and the staff is very helpful. I did purchase a jar of pickles from here also. They are made in Pittsburgh and we absolutely hated them. Big disappointment.

I stopped in here to save myself an an extra trip up to Maggies. This is new to me in the Strip - open about 6 months. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, but Im interested in returning to check everything out. You can taste anything you want at the bar. Workers here sounded really knowledgeable about what they were selling. Its a one of a kind shop only selling liquor from small PA distilleries!

These guys dont like PA Craft Spirits - they LOVE it! They offer a super approachable environment to taste and learn. If youre already into small batch spirits or want to be but dont know where to start, do yourself a favor and visit. Looking forward to heading back next time Im in town.

Decided to try PA Libations for some locally made vodka. I ordered online and was emailed receipt of my order then about 40 minutes later my order was ready for pickup. Parked right in the front and some people were shopping or waiting outside for their order. A minute later I was greeted by a smiling young man and gave him my order number. Out he came with my box and loaded in my Jeep my various vodkas👏 Easier it couldnt have been!!! Your staff was handling a rather busy sidewalk and car pickups with friendly greetings/😁😁! That part made my day!The Standard Orange vodka we tried last night was very good👍 Did a blind taste test with Stoli Oranj and hubby picked Standard as the Stoli😏 cant wait to try some other PA products from your store! This place is incredible!! If youre over 21, you can taste test their products and the staff is extremely knowledgeable about the selections. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were for this type of place! I hope they keep going strong, just another great place to frequent in the Strip-District, glad I came across it.

Wow, a liquor store that offers only Pennsylvannia liquors from a dozen distilleries, and free tastings. The tenders are extremely knowledgeable, they can tell you the ins-and-outs of all the offerings.The other nice thing is that many of the price points are still quite reasonable for the quality of the liquor you are getting. Highly recommend stopping in.

Awesome selection with a great atmosphere. The short haired blonde woman was extremely rude from the moment we had a question. I wanted to try something and she asked for my ID while I was still looking at stuff behind the counter. I was getting it out and she said I needed to come down to her because she wasn’t going to walk back and fourth and I said no problem, because that was my plan after I finished looking. To come over to her. Then she keeps talking saying she isn’t gonna pour until she saw my ID. She was so rude that I walked out before I got my taste. Probably will be back again hoping she’s not there.

Worst hours. Close at 5:00PM. That makes no sense. Today (2/22/18) I stop at 4:37 and theyre closed No rhyme or reason for their business hours. Not a way to run a business. The state stores keep better hours. So much for privitzation of the liquor business in PA.

Interesting collection of local liquorsMostly whiskeys. They offer tastes but a crowd builds and it is hard to get.

A friend and I were in Pgh for a concert and did a gin tasting with Dana Dolney. Dana was super-knowledgeable about gin botanicals and tasting profiles, and passionate about finding us things wed love but didnt know about. We definitely recommend stopping by and asking for her advice!

Great place, and great for the city. The common complaint is the price and I agree. I hope there is a way to bring that down so you guys stick around awhile.

While I was there they only had one brand of liquor made in Pennsylvania. I was expecting to see a variety of many Pennsylvania distilleries but was disappointed. I hope that they start to carry a better variety and arent just a vendor for their own products.

One staff member kinda condensending, bit of a jerk however Kat more than made up for it. I guess everyone is entitled to a bad day. Would return, the store is awesome! Finally the state of Pennsylvania move out of the dark ages to allow for micro distilleries to come back. Check this place out when it the strip!

One of my favorite places coast to coast. I come up from Texas and I spend quality time to ith the bar folks who guide you through what you taste to get to what you want. Tip then well they are worth it You have to get the Still and Wolf, liberty Bell prater bourbon the bluecoat oak finish gin and the fallernnum. And I rock the whiskey rebellion shirt in Texas!

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and was in Pittsburgh judging the North American Championship. I had been looking for a liqour store with no luck until I found this treasure on Penn Avenue!The three staff that were present were all lovely people but, and Im sorry that I cant remember her name with the dark hair was outstanding!Explained to me the origin of the shop and was so knowledgeable about the products, which happens to be from kraft distillerys in Pennsylvania!Samples of any product was available, and there are many!She even bubble wrapped and packaged my bottle of Thislefinch Black Coffee flavored whiskey so I could bring it back to Winnipeg!Next time Im back in town Ill see you Again!
