The food was okay at best. The waiter we got was a bit older and had to be reminded to bring drinks, napkins, random people that look like they did not belong. The area needs better management supervision to make sure musicians are not smoking next to you and your family which I had to remind one of the staff to ask the musicians to not smoke in the outside which was two tables from us.

This Northgate is not that big compared to the ones in Anaheim. However, the employees are friendly and nice. Meat section did look fresh and no flies flying around or in the bins. I am giving this place 4 stars...cause the parking sucks.

Honestly the worst northgate in the area. The parking lot is small and always littered with carts everywhere. Store is way too small and packed. Always seems like theyre short staffed. Their produce looks terrible. I came in today 9/13 and they had no carts available up front, they had a delivery truck blocking the driveway in front of the store. The avocados looked horrible, they all looked way to ripe but theyre still charging full price for them, limes were all hard. I looked around and decided to just drive over to the one on la palma

I go here for the Mexican Cokes, which are at the best price in town here. They also have excellent bolillos, 3 large or 4 medium for a buck. Extensive Panaderia and frozen sections as well. Very courteous staff.

Second time here. Great selection with the added benefit of the take out experience. I went to the desert area first. Also picked up poke, quacamole, tamales and enchiladas. This place is dangerous to shop. Way too much tempting food. Wow!!

By far the best Latin markets in Southern California, excellent selections. The place is extra clean and the service is great. Try the bacalao.

Northgate Gonzalez Market is about half the size of a giant grocery chain store but it has a lot of the charm and appeal that makes it culturally Mexican. Their carniceria (aka Butcher shop) offers an assortment of meats and pre made/seasoned meats for cooking. You also have the option to select hot foods that have been prepared for breakfast (served 6am-11am, while supplies last), lunch and dinner. Seriously, you could buy a whole family sized meal for dinner which can feed 3, 6, 15, and 30 something people.Walking around the store and exploring many of their options, Ive found theres a little of everything. I came with my parents and aunts to buy stuff for my grandmas birthday and we were able to get everything we needed (and a few extra stuff). They have a little baked goods section to the far right corner near the registers. Near the entrance theres a place to buy tamales (pork, chicken, and I forgot the third). They even have some juices, too!Some of their product, however, are comparable to products at other stores. For example, Ive found that their baby food section is actually a little more pricey than the ones Ive found at Target. But if youre pressed for time and dont worry too much about cost, you could buy what you need here. Parking can be a little nightmare since the parking lot isnt very big. Thankfully we were able to find a spot as soon as we drove into the Placentia Plaza.

Nice neighborhood store, that always makes me feel welcomed, cashiers and staff always engage customers (including me) in conversation that makes you laugh so when you exit you leave with a smile. Meat & Deli departments are always helpful on specials too. I always find what I need, if I dont crew will let me know when to check back after new shipments have arrived. Love this store.

Customer service is lacking. Some employees dont speak any English. Its also appears kind of old and a bit dirty. Cashier said nothing to me. This was my first time in and it will be my last.

I love this wonderful Mexican grocery store. Their meat market, produce, freshly made chips, guacamole made to order, fresh juices, etc are all wonderful.

My go to place if I am having a party. The guacamole is awesome. Most weekends they will make if for you on the spot. The shrimp civiche is some of the best around. Perfect amount of spicy, put some beads of sweat on your forehead but wont make you cry. And if you need corn, limes, or jalapenos you will not find a cheaper place anywhere.

Has good carnitas when fresh. Very slow cashiers. Product is sometimes over priced compared to state bros. I still havent been to any fast service but because this is the closest grocery store from my house I still go there. Aside from the slow check out everything else is good including service and friendly staff, still convenient to shop for daily necessities here

Bought marinated chicken here and it smelled like shrimp. I wouldnt trust the fresh meat. All the meat looked bad but I decided to just buy it anyway like a fool.Returned it without a problem. Prices went up a bit and the tamales were almost gone by 9:30am bummer! I wanted to try the champurado but that was all gone but i did get a little taste. Jugos were good but a bit sweet. People were nice and the gentleman who helped me pick the papaya was real nice and had a nice smile..people need to smile more like that gentleman. Ill still go back and most likely a lot earlier..

This place is good for groceries but Id avoid the hot foods and cold drinks they serve by the entrance. Today is the SECOND time I find a live fly in their drinks! The person tending the space only looked at it in disgust without taking immediate action.

There is too many people and not enough service. They need to hire more people and find ways to be more efficient.

You can tell some of their workers are racist; they treat you diffrent. They arent friendly /rude and really put effort into showing how much they dont like you or the race you are. I say this not only because of personal experiences but my father has gone in there and has been chased down by a cashier because she assumed he was stealing when he clearly paid. This is only a good market if you live close by and need something asao only because of the poor customer service.

I was calling for information on money transfer and Marlene Vega who works there was extremely rude a hung up on twice I called about 12 times and she wouldnt answer until she finally did so I asked her for her name.. people like that shouldnt be working in a customer service area, if she doesnt like her job she should find another one.
