I have been dealing off and on with this guy since the 90s. Hes always been kind of rude. I havent bought anything from him in years. So I saw a model on his website and decided to order it. It had a pickup option for shipping so I clicked it. Paid for it then called to see if it was ok to swing by. He said rudely Thats not the way it works. So I asked Well, how does it work? He said I have to make an appointment but hes not even sure he has it in stock. Nope. He says it will be here in September. Fine says I.So September rolls around and I get a call. Its in stock you want to come get it? Sure says I. Ill swing by Tuesday. So I call. No answer but a swell 20 minute recording comes on. Eventually it says theyre open until 4. So I drive out there and find the place. Looks closed up. I check the door. Its open. I walk in. I see someone in the office and say Hello. He walks out and rudely says, You have to wait outside! OK. At this point I figure you know what? I have to much self esteem to be ran around and takked to rudely. So I just left. I will never buy another item from here if he offered me his entire inventory for $1. I will quit the hobby first. If you have any self respect, stear clear.Update. Now he charged my card anyway probably because he saw my review. Super shady business. Stear clear.

Been waiting for an order since December 2020....asked for a refund got no reply....no updates on order....be wary dealing with these cowboys they are not worth dealing with!

I was looking for a rare model kit that was first made about 20 years ago in a limited quantity. Monsters in Motion were one of the very few places that had one so I went for it. It took a few weeks to arrive at my house - living on a different continent, that was to be expected - but it finally arrived and its quite remarkable. Besides, the staff was very responsive to my e-mails, and they were very nice to me. Now that I have my model kit, I have a lot of work to do. But with the incredible stash of rare pieces that they have, Ill be buying from them again (sooner that later). So, thank you, Monsters in Motion.

An ordered product was out of stock. A representative went beyond the call of duty to relocate and procure the item. It arrived in immaculate condition! I am a PERFECTIONIST, and when I say immaculate I mean very nearly flawless condition. Fantastic service!!

This place has a cool little showroom, with awesome oddities from mostly old Sci-Fi movies, their stock varies depending on what kind of memorabilia they get in at any given time. Owners and employees are very helpful

Im going to give this place 3 stars, but only because the website looks like to has a good many interesting kits etc. However, when I tried to visit the shop during their opening hours they were closed. I even called and just got an answering machine. That sucked. Definitely call before you try and visit!

I’ve only had one experience with them (in store) and it was great. Had a rare item (definitely not a fake) that couldn’t be found anywhere, even on the internet, the price was spot on, and the service was great. Thank you!

This place has every monster and sci-fi character youve ever seen. Plus all the vehicles, space ships and weapons used in those movies. They have more than 40,000 items online.

These 5 star reviews are written by friends of the owner no true customer of MIM has anything nice to say about them look at consumer reviews not these buyest ones. I left a detailed review of my experience with them on yelp in short they took my money it’s bren almost 1 year sinse they got my money an to this day I have not received anything from them and no refund either they have a scam where you to buy something online and they get a down payment from you for the item and then tell you it’s on back order and then you never get it or a refund read all reviews on all sites this is scam company buyers beware.

So I preorder October 2 a costume say that its going to ship out on the 20 and the person say I get it on Tuesday Im like okay cool and got a email say got held back

Very angry 😡 . Nothing is to be trusted about these people. They have ripped me of many times. they sell recasts and many other fakes. Do your research.Scammers in Motion.
