Super nice people delivering the best Mexican food in the Placerville area

Just picked up Beef and Chicken Tamales, with rice and beans. They are delicious and home made. So thankful we have this restaurant and grocery store in our midst. A few years back we were able to pick up all the ingredients for our home-made tamales. It is quite a job to make them. Thanks again for a delicious Fathers Day Meal for my son Lance.

This place is the king of taquerias in El Dorado County, and a better part of sacramento! So far we have tried just about every type of meat in our tacos and have yet to have one that we didnt think was absolutely delicious. The pazole is insanely good,cant wait to go back!

As far as authentic and delicious Mexican food goes, this is the top spot in the area. The tacos are delicious. Just make sure to count your order before leaving - i have had two or three instances where I paid for 4 tacos but only got 3. Despite this, they are so good I just couldnt subtract a star.

Reuben and his team are incredible!! The food is unbeatable and everyone is super friendly. Breakfast burritos are a must- I especially love the carne asada but the carnitas are a special treat if you time your visit right! While you wait for your food, stop by the meat counter and grab some prepped fajita meat to take to-go for dinner later! AMAZING!!

Stopped in to get a hot plate to warm up tortillas. I saw they had a small little restaurant so I ordered a bean & Cheese pupusa and it was horrible. I also ordered 6 cheese and green chili tamales....I’m hoping that these are better😬

Wonderful AUTHENTIC food but such a terrible location that you KNOW the food has to be amazing for them to stay in business. Very much worth the effort to find the place though. It is part of the market so be prepared for a super casual setting with exceptional food.

Real street tacos and delicious quesadillas. Not your run of the mill Mexican joint. I just got back from Cancun where I couldnt find anything as yummy as this place. Not big on decor or ambiance. More like eating at Circle k. Try it, youll like it.

The best Mexican food in town. Excellent carnitas, huge burritos. They have a meat market also and all kinds of things you may not find anywhere else in town. To top it off, really nice people and great customer service.

This place doesnt look like it would be good, but from all the reviews and then the amount of people in there with happy looks on their faces.. I had to try it.SO pleasantly suprised! The burritos were very good, authentic and HUGE! They definitely dont skimp on the portions.The owner and cook, Rubin was so accommodating and kind. He even made us something extra to try, that was also great! We felt like we were being hosted in his home. I actually cant wait to go back. This is one of those RARE finds👍💓

The food is the closest in the area to authentic Mexican food.

Why do they have stuff in the menu that taste really bad. Their pupusas are almost all dough and little filling. The filling doesn’t even taste good.

My husband and I go here at least once a month. The food is Amazing and the employees are so friendly and helpful. The burrito lasts Me three meals. Explore the store and visit the Meat counter.

Overpriced pupilas, asked for 5 with everything in them, came back half an hour later and asked to make sure I got them with everything in them. Was told they only make them with cheese and meat. Everybody was looking at me like I was crazy to ask. Got home to try them and they were really bad pupusas. Never going back there again.

My burrito was enormous! The flavor was really good. We went right before closing so I may have gotten the bottom of the pot of Chile Verde, it was a bit over cooked. Id definitely go back!

Well, I went to the laundry mat to get change for my laundry and decided to go in the meat market. I had in mind a steak, instead I ended up getting fajita meat. It was already seasoned and let me tell you it was incredibly delicious!!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is THE place in Placerville. The red chorizo tacos - everything in it - are delicious! My husband loves the pastor tacos. Everything weve ever tried is wonderful, including the homemade tamales at Christmas. Its not a place to go for ambience, its a place to get rockin awesome, authentic Mexican food.

This place is absolutely amazing, the best location for all of your Hispanic grocery needs. The staff is super helpful and you will not find any place in the County that has better food than this place. They serve tacos, menudo, prepared meat for a bbq, champurrado, etc. too many things to name. Check this place out of you’re looking for authentic Mexican food.

A culinary powerhouse in our little town. Although it is also a mini store and great butchery, I will be focussing on the Taqueria and specifically tacos! There used to actually be competition for best tacos in Placerville but now there is no competition. This place goes the extra mile to ensure a delicious experience. They have a unique and delicious take on carnitas. The al pastor is always spicy, sweet and so so yummy. There are diced radishes and lime on the side and the option of grilled onions and roasted & grilled jalapenos on the side as well. The other stand out items aside from their monstrous quesadillas and burritos is by far the papusa. I can not recall any restaurant serving papusa in this town before. If your unfamiliar, its a corn dough cake or bread of sorts with refried beans, cheese and chicharron. Oh, maybe best advice for the foodies and fans, on Wed and Sat they prepare fresh chicharron and sell in the butcher section of this amazing spot.

It is a great local place in Placerville that you can get authentic Mexican food and refreshments for a very good price. Also it is a small store where you can get candy, authentic Mexican bread, drinks, and many more items.

Wonderful experience, delicious authentic food, superior customer service. Cant say enough about how great this place is - ordered Carne Asada and Carnitas for a luncheon of 100 people and everyone raved about the food. Highly recommend!!!
